ROBERT BRANNON GUMM, 37, died at 8:30 a.m. April 25, 2006, from injuries suffered in an auto accident near Wapakoneta.
He was born July 30, 1968, in Lima to Robert Darrell and Bettie Lou Kortier Gumm, who survive in West Chester.
Mr. Gumm was a heat and frost insulator of Local 41, Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a member of Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He loved to do clay sculpting and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. The joys of his life were his children.
Survivors also include three children, LaOnnie Lou Gumm, Elynn Mae Gumm and Johnie Ann Gumm, all of Lima; four brothers, Ted (Lou Ann) Gumm of Harrod, Jeff (Deborah) Shelly of Lima, the Rev. Russ (Kelly) Gumm of Xenia and Craig (Debbie) Gumm of Riddle, Ore.; two sisters, Teresa Rigdon of McCool, Miss., and Tina (Dan) Peters of Wapakoneta; and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Kortier of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother John Arden Gumm; and his grandparents, Ralph Kortier, Arden and Ann Gumm and Margaret Kohn.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Siferd Funeral Homes, Westwood Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Alger
MAUDIE HOWARD, 68, died at 8:18 a.m. April 26, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Breathitt County, Ky., to Charlie and Dora Manns Clemons, who preceded her in death. On June 30, 1957, she married
Lebern Howard, who died Sept. 27, 1995.
Mrs. Howard was a football lacer at Wilson Sporting Goods, Ada, for 23 years. She attended Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
Survivors include a son, Delmer "Bub" (Sarah) Williams of Alger; a daughter, Donna (Mark) Conley of Alger; a stepson, Henry (Cheryl) Howard of McGuffey; two stepdaughters, Louise (Kenny) Morris of Mount Victory and Pauline (Jim) Seitz of Kenton; a brother, Elbert (Etta) Clemons of Alger; a sister, Polly (Jimmy) Manning of Means, Ky.; and six grandchildren, 13 stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 21 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Becraft; and a brother, Albert Clemons.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastor Robert Dye and the Rev. Tex Rowe will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.

ANDREA L. "ANDI" SMITH, 60, died at 4:05 p.m. April 25, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Lima to Kenneth D. and Imogene A. Worrell Jerew. Her father preceded her in death. Her mothers survives. On Feb. 19, 1977, she married
John W. Smith, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Smith retired from OSU-Lima. She had also worked as an assistant personnel director at First Federal Bank and as a legal secretary for Joe DePore. She enjoyed boating on Lake Erie. She also enjoyed and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes - Go Bucks!
Survivors also include two stepsons, John "Duke" (Cass) Smith and Shaun (Janna) Smith, both of Cincinnati; a sister, Kathleen A. Jerew of Lima; a brother, Craig A. Jerew of Lima; a grandson, William Smith of Cincinnati; two nieces, Danielle N. (David) Langan and Ashley Jerew; and a great-nephew and two great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alyse J. Jerew.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Ferrell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

ADRIANA EMMY CONNELL, 88, died at 1:03 p.m. May 8, 2006, at Plus Health Care Center.
She was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Urlings Village, Antiqua, West Indies, to Charlotte Rebecca Prince and James Connell, who preceded her in death.
Miss Connell had been a seamstress in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Antiqua, West Indies, and had worked with the Alien Association of St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
Survivors include a daughter, Hazeline Phillip of Lima; seven grandchildren, Charles, Ricky, Leslie, Teal, Jenry, Fitzroy and Eloise; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fabian Prince William and Alvin Prince William, both of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; and three sisters, Almin J. Williams of Bollins Village, Antiqua, West Indies, Eulrica Prince William of Washington D.C., and Euphracia C. Prince William of St. Johns, Antiqua, West Indies.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold J. Phillip; and 10 siblings.
Services will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. H. Frank Taylor III will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

SHARON KAY HIGHLAND, 58, died at 12:15 p.m. May 8, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Lima to Emmett G. and Lois Hullinger Highland, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Highland was a school bus driver for Marimor, Lima city and Elida schools. She was a member of American Legion Post 268 Auxiliary, Delphos, and the ACCRC Radio Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Twila (Greg) Mills of Elida; a son, Donald "Donnie" (Missy) Duffman Jr. of Lima; four grandchildren, Trent Duffman, Chase Duffman, Jesse Mills and Cody Mills; three brothers, Art (Connie) Highland of Tennessee, Jim (Sandy) Highland of Lima and Gene (Sharon) Highland of Tennessee; and a sister-in-law, Mary Highland.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Highland; and an infant son, Emmett Wendell Duffman.
Services will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Allentown cemetery.

WILLIE R. "MRS. CHICKEN LADY" JOHNSON, 66, died at 4 p.m. May 9, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Lewisville, Ark., to Burton and Willie Mae Ford Rose. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lewisville, Ark. She married
Lee Jerry "Chicken Man" Johnson, who survives in Lima.
Survivors also include a son, Calvin (Elaine) Horton Jr. of Lewisville, Ark.; three daughters, Teresa Horton of Lima, Brenda (Rodger) Henry of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Carlotta Williams of Lima; seven grandchildren, Dartaniel, Devontai, Shiane, Darius, Calvin, Brittany and Sean; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oliver James Rose of Lewisville, Ark., and Arthur Leon (Lena) Rose of Stamps, Ark.; and two sisters, Alice Marie (Jesse) Jointer of Lewisville, Ark., and Murlee (George) Ligins of Santa Monica, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rose.

PAULINE RUTH LAUSE, 80, died at 12:30 p.m. May 9, 2006, at her residence.
She was born June 10, 1925, in Delphos to Ray and Margaret Stepleton Schwinnen, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 9, 1943, she married
Norval "Bunny" Lause, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lause retired as co-owner and operator of Star Café, Delphos. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and playing bingo and euchre.
Survivors include a son, Dr. David B. (Cree) Lause of Augusta, Ga.; two daughters, Jennifer M. (Joseph) Reinemeyer of Delphos and Jan R. (Dan) Warnecke of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters Mary Lause and Norma Miller; six grandchildren, Matt Reinemeyer, Erin (Joe) Parrish, Kerri Warnecke, Erika (Larry) Dennison, Andria Lause and John Lause; and a great-grandchild, Leigha Marie Dennison.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Hoel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Father Charles Obinaw will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Delphos.
