Ashland
RUTH CRONE LENZ, 91, died the evening of Sept. 5, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 25, 1914, in Massillon to Joseph and Hermine Bremkamp Crone, who preceded her in death. She married
Paul Hamilton Lenz, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lenz retired as a registered nurse from Defiance General Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ashland.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Robert (Lynne) Lenz and Jack (Linda) Lenz; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Lilac House at Leipsic Retirement Center. Burial will be at a later date in Nova cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Leipsic
L. LAWRENCE McDOUGLE, 85, of Fostoria, formerly of Leipsic, died at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 5, 2006, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
He was born Oct. 20, 1920, in Continental to Samueal and Ella Taylor McDougle, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 10, 1942, he married
Treva M. Wood, who survives in Ottawa.
Mr. McDougle had been self-employed in refrigeration and air conditioning for several years. He had also worked at the Lima Tank Depot, drove trucks for Conklin Motor Freight, Cleveland, and had worked at Allied Egry and Libby, McNeil & Libby, both in Leipsic. Following his retirement, he earned his GED and then became an instructor in welding at Four County Vocational School. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Leipsic. He was an honorary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9547 and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 6057, both in Leipsic.
Survivors also include a son, Jeffery B. (Diane) McDougle of Delphos; a daughter, Pamela A. Brenamen of Fostoria; two brothers, Charles McDougle of Lakeview and Harold (Eldora) McDougle of Ottawa; two sisters, Helen (Frank) Dilts of Ada and Florence (Louie) Rangel of Findlay; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Albert, Robert, Floyd, Clarence, Ray and Kenneth McDougle; and four sisters, Doris and Donna McDougle, Zelma Jess Near and Golda Insley.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. The Rev. Judy Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Truro cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Dublin
CHARLES E. RENNER, 81, died Sept. 5, 2006, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 9, 1925, to John Peter and Pauline Rausch Renner, who preceded him in death. On June 4, 1950, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, he married
Carol Anne Fritz, who survives.
Mr. Renner had been an educator for 44 years, working as a teacher and coach at Marysville, a principal and coach at Watkins Local, a superintendent and coach at Byhalia-York and Hardin Northern and as county superintendent of Hardin County from 1976 to 1994. He had been the executive secretary of the Blanchard Valley Conference from 1965 to 2004 and was a registered OHSAA track and field and cross-country official for 30 years.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Marysville. He began his education at St. John Lutheran School, graduated in 1943 from Watkins Local School, received his bachelor's degree from Capital University and his master's degree from The Ohio State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 63rd Blood and Fire Infantry in Europe. He will be remembered as a hard-working man who was dedicated to the boys, girls and staff of each district in which he served. He was a fan of the OSU Buckeyes and treasured time shared with his loving family. He has now left this world to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors also include a son, Charles Renner of Forest; a daughter, Suzanne (Graham) Matthews of Erie, Pa.; six grandchildren, Peter, John, Joel, Mark and Leah Renner, and Aubrae Matthews; a sister, Erna Bailey of Dublin; a brother, Arno Renner of Marysville; a brother-in-law, James (Pat) Fritz of Marion; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Doug) Ritze of Woodland, Texas, and Colleen Fritz of Bucyrus; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends, students and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alvena Renner; a brother, Victor (Margaret) Renner; and two brothers-in-law, Don Bailey and George Fritz.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Marysville. The Revs. Gerry Mohr and Jack Heino will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites by the Union County Honor Guard.
