RICHARD G. SHRIDER, 74, died at 8:05 p.m. Jan. 1, 2003, at VanCrest Nursing Home, Van Wert.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford. The Rev. Mike Berne will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge cemetery, Middle Point.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Van Wert
JUANITA M. WERMER, 88, died at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 1, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Ronald Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert.

Harrod
ROBERT J. AAB, 81, died at 6:55 a.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Neptune to August and Lodema Cook Aab, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 12, 1957, he married
P. Kathleen Prater, who survives.
Mr. Aab was a farmer and retired in 1980 as a welder from Clark Equipment (Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton). He was a member of Waynesfield Baptist Church, Waynesfield. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was a member of American Legion Post 96 and the Right for Life. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. He played Santa for his family and at other community events.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon M. Gist of Russells Point, Dana M. Winegardner of Pueblo, Colo., and Rhonda G. (Robert) Mowery of Lima; two sons, P. Michael (Barb) Holbrook of Lima and Adam G. (Mary) Holbrook of Columbus Grove; a brother, George (Bea) Aab of Lima; two sisters, Thelma Brewer of Phoenix and Alice Eileen Lyle of Miami; and 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Aab.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Waynesfield Baptist Church, Waynesfield. The Rev. Don Smith will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran cemetery, near Cridersville, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel.

Ottoville
EUGENE M. "GENE" BEINING, 68, died at 1 a.m. Feb. 13, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 12, 1934, in Ottoville to Joseph and Veronica A. Koetter Beining, who preceded him in death. On April 7, 1956, he married
Mary Ann Etgen, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Beining retired as an electrician from Fruehauf Corp., Delphos, after 43 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, where he had been a member of the parish council. He was a former member of the Ottoville park board, town council and Lions Club. He was a devoted father and family man.
Survivors also include four daughters, Nancy Beining, Deb (Ron) Cross and Lisa (Joe) Modica, all of Ottoville, and Mary Jo (Mark) Knott of Ottawa; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane (Greg) King; three brothers, Art, Walt and Joe Beining; and three sisters, Lauretta Miller, Hilda Ricker and Genevieve Becker.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings. The Rev. Tony Borgia will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic cemetery, Ottoville.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Ottoville, where a parish wake service will be held at 3 p.m.

Ridgeway
MYRON PHILLIP CLARK Sr., 65, died at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born July 10, 1937, in West Mansfield to Lloyd and Maxine McGinnis Clark, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 26, 1959, in Winchester, Va., he married
Sarah Burns, who survives in Ridgeway.
Mr. Clark retired in 1970 from Detroit Aluminum and Brass, Bellefontaine. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a life member of AMVETS Post 20, Kenton. He was an Army Reserve veteran. He enjoyed traveling with the Amish and raising horses and racing them.
Survivors also include two sons, Gerald (Mary) Clark of Las Vegas and Myron P. Clark Jr. of Ridgeway; two daughters, Gwenda (Roy) Jackson of Lima and Angela Sue (Dan Weaver) Clark of Mount Victory; four brothers, Roland (Marilyn) Clark of Plain City, Douglas (Betty) Clark of Kenton, Joseph (Janice) Clark of Tucson, Ariz., and Alex (Carolyn) Clark of Freemont; a sister, Darlene (Dwight) Brittford of Columbus; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Clark; and a granddaughter.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, Mount Victory. The Revs. Melvin Woodard and Dennis Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeway cemetery, with military rites by AMVETS Post 1994.

STEVEN EUGENE DRAKE, 36, died at 2:25 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at his residence.
Services will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Kathleen Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Lima
MARY M. FOGT, 79, died at 2:35 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Loogootee, Ind., to Alonzo and Anna Winegar Hooker, who preceded her in death. She married
Paul Fogt, who died July 30, 1984.
Mrs. Fogt was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria (Howard) Sealscott of Lima and Donna (Terry) Crider of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Tedette Hitchen, Michael Sealscott and Melissa Hargraves; five great-grandchildren, Tiffany Camper, Christy Doyle, Lindsay Doyle, Kylee Sealscott and Steven Sealscott; and a great-great-grandchild, Colton Doyle.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey and Robert Hooker; and a sister, Shirley LeVeck.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Siferd Funeral Homes, Westwood Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Lima
FRANKLIN D. FOUST, 45, of Erie, Mich., formerly of Lima, died Feb. 11, 2003, at St. Charles Hospital.
He was born in Lima to Franklin and Frances Foust, who survive. His wife, Terry Foust, also survives.
Mr. Foust was a member of Pointe Place Boat Club and enjoyed boating. He was a very loving and giving person who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors also include a son, Gabe Foust of Lima; a daughter, Shae Foust of Lima; three stepdaughters, Tanya (Robert Rottenstein) Slemp, Kimberly (Mark) Heath and Theresa (Tony Brashear) Webber, all of Toledo; a brother, Brian (Shanda) Foust; a sister, Kari (Steve) Wilson; and five grandchildren, Gavin, Travis, Cassidy, Marissa and Spencer.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida.
Memorial services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 22, at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania.
Lima
CASSIE ALMA HILL, 94, of Newport Beach, Calif., formerly of Lima, died at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 11, 2003, at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
She was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Ellisville, Miss., to Charles Henry and Ada Mae Blankenship Clarke, who preceded her in death. In 1936, she married
James Howard Hill, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hill spent most of her youth in Lima and most of her adult life in Toledo.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Cynthia) Hill of Hayward, Calif.; a daughter, Sandra (Jim) Hatcher of Newport Beach, Calif.; a sister, Edna Terry of Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, LaVonia Clarke of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three nephews and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. Clarke Jr.; and two sisters, Mildred Whetsel and Patricia Scales.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saddleback Church, Lake Forest, Calif.
