SETH R. LONG was stillborn at 9:40 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Bluffton.
His parents, Mark and Katie Hermiller Long, survive in Ottawa.
Survivors also include grandparents, Roy and Cathy Hermiller of Pandora and James and Dolores Long of Miller City; and great-grandparents, Lou Ann Hermiller and Charles and Eloise Crawfis, all of Ottawa, Rita Niese of Glandorf and Ray and Alma Long of New Washington.
He was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Richard Hermiller and Harold Niese.
Private services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. The Rev. Robert DeSloover will officiate. Burial will be in St. Nicholas cemetery, Miller City.
Columbus Grove
PHYLLIS P. MAYBERRY, 77, died at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Pandora to Lennis and Cora Shank Grismore, who preceded her in death. She married
Willis Mayberry, who survives in Columbus Grove.
Mrs. Mayberry retired in 1988 from Philips Display Components, Ottawa. She was a member of Pandora Missionary Church, Pandora. She was a 1944 graduate of Pandora High School. She loved her grandchildren and especially enjoyed caring for them.
Survivors also include a son, Greg (Patricia) Mayberry of Columbus Grove; five daughters, Paula (David) Stewart, Grace Stechschulte, Connie (Robert) Collins, Lisa (Dennis) Schroeder and Denise (Alan Rachesky) O'Connor, all of Columbus Grove; a sister-in-law, Ruth Grismore of Bluffton; 17 grandchildren, Roy Stewart, the Rev. Samuel Stewart, Melanie Piercefield, Steve Stechschulte, Quinton Stechschulte, Anthony Stechschulte, Elaine Kiene, Holly Drake, Natalie Metzger, Chad Metzger, Ryan Miller, Wyatt Mayberry, Joseph Schroeder, Amber Schroeder, Chelsea O'Connor, Michael O'Connor and Caleb O'Connor; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Maurice Grismore; and a sister, LaVera Benroth Moser.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. The Rev. Ken Stuckey will officiate. Burial will be in Truro cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Marion, Ind.
WINIFRED M. WEST, 86, died at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 12, 2003, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion, Ind.
She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Marion, Ind., to Homer and Nellie Gore Mills, who preceded her in death. She married
Robert L. West, who died Nov. 29, 1991.
Mrs. West was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Marion, Ind. She had lived in Marion, Ind., her entire life.
Survivors include a son, Robert L. (Phyllis) West. Jr. of Marion, Ind.; a daughter, Cecilia (David) Byglin of Lima; a sister, Margaret Thompson of Houston; six grandchildren, Terri Brooks, John Byglin, Jennifer Byglin, Gary West, Debbie Harris and Greg West; and four stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Marion, Ind. The Rev. Richard Weisenberger will officiate. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, Marion, Ind., where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Ottawa
ERNEST J. DICKMAN, 71, died at 8 p.m. Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Glandorf, to Sylvester and Mary Theresa Ellerbrock Dickman, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 8, 1964, he married
Margaret "Peg" Brinkman, who survives in Ottawa.
Mr. Dickman retired in 2001 from Ohio Job and Family Services and had been owner/manager of Hoyt's Tavern, Ottawa. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, where he was an usher and eucharistic minister. He was a life member and former service officer of American Legion Post 63, Ottawa. He had served as president of the Putnam County Permit Holders Association and as a union steward and president of the local AFL-CIO. He was active in the Democratic Party. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors also include two sons, Mark (Laurie) Dickman of Ottawa and Dean (Audrey) Dickman of Port Huron, Mich.; three daughters, Ann (Mark) Ellerbrock of Glandorf and Tracey Dickman and Jill (Merced) Torres, both of Ottawa; a brother, Thomas (Judy) Dickman of Lima; a sister, Valerie (Carl) Lewis of Lima; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dickman.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. The Rev. Tim Knepper will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 63 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 3 p.m.

Bluffton
PATRICE K. MULLEN EMCH, 83, formerly of New Martinsville, W.Va., died Aug. 6, 2003, in Bluffton.
She was born Nov. 23, 1919, in New Martinsville, to John Joseph and Mildred Virginia Shea Mullen, who preceded her in death. On April 9, 1944, she married
John W. Emch Jr., who died May 10, 2001.
Mrs. Emch retired as a secretary. She had been a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), New Martinsville, and attended the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Phillip) Weisenbarger of Bluffton; three sisters, Fayne (James) White of Springfield, Tenn., Myrna L. Kilbane of Charles Town, W.Va., and Carole Burke of Wheeling, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Charles (Jennie) Weisenbarger of Goshen, Ky., Megan (Darren) Gustitus of Ann Arbor, Mich., Adam Weisenbarger of Columbus and Seth Weisenbarger of Louisville, Ky.; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew and Lillie Weisenbarger.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Iams Funeral Home, New Martinsville. The Rev. William Flewelling will officiate. Burial will be in Northview cemetery, New Martinsville.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home in New Martinsville.

FREDERICK RUSSELL "FRED" HEIFNER, 86, died at 11:25 a.m. Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born March 19, 1917, in Jamestown, to Harry Nelson and Helen Bradds Heifner, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 20, 1941, he married
Geneva Clemans, who died Feb. 6, 1995, after 54 years of marriage.
Mr. Heifner and his brother Richard established and operated Lima Distributors, which distributed a wide range of building materials and served much of Ohio and parts of Indiana and Michigan. In later years he was primary owner of Heifner Swaney Oldsmobile in Lima and Flagship GM Automobile Dealership, Kenton. He had served on the Ada Village Council. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ada. He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Lima, and Lodge 157, Kenton. He served on the board of the Fort Amanda Girl Scout Council and the business advisory council at Ohio Northern University.
He was a graduate of Ross High School in Greene County and attended Cedarville University and The Ohio State University. He was a 1940 graduate of the Naval Air Training Center, Pensacola, Fla. At the beginning of World War II he was a naval flight instructor in Pensacola. During the war he served as a pilot, primarily in the Pacific and the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, where he helped patrol the Bering Straits. When discharged in 1946, he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Siegenthaler of Mansfield, Etoile (Jonathan) Holzaepfel of New Castle, N.H., and Celeste (Donald) Turcotte of Centerville; three brothers, Richard "Dick" (Anne) Heifner of Lima and Max (Jean) Heifner and Robert (Billie) Heifner, both of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Geneva (Bruce) Cummins and Claire (Jeff) Proto, both of Mansfield, Erica Holzaepfel and Peter Frederick Holzaepfel, both of New Castle, N.H., and Patrick Russell Turcotte of Centerville; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Heifner Cummins and Emma Louise Cummins.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Aug. 15 at First United Methodist Church, Ada. The Rev. Vernon LaSala will officiate. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Aug. 15, in North cemetery, Cedarville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to services Aug. 15 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund at ONU, Ada Visiting Nurses and Hospice, or the charity of the donor's choice.
Delphos
JILL NICHOLS, 40, died the morning of Aug. 7, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos.
Ohio City
ANTHONY BENJAMIN NIETO, 41, died Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1962, in Van Wert, to Joe and Margaret Barrientos Nieto. His father survives in Ohio City. His mother died May 8, 2002.
Mr. Nieto attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. He was an Army veteran, serving from 1976 to 1982.
Survivors also include a son, Jonathan Nieto of Lima; a daughter, Jenna Nieto of Lima; a brother, Joe Nieto of Lima; three sisters, Delores Myers of Elida, Angela Lewis of Van Wert and Juanita Joseph of Ohio City; and two nephews, two nieces, five great-nephews and two great-nieces.
A memorial Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert, with military rites by American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803.
There will be no visitation.
