BERNICE W. SPANGLER GEREN, 95, died at 6:10 a.m. Jan. 16, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 24, 1910, in Oak Shade, Fulton County, to William W. and Minnie C. Wetherby Spangler, who preceded her in death. On June 19, 1929, she married
Roy S. Geren, who died March 25, 1991.
Mrs. Geren was co-owner of Geren's Master Market, Celina, and Geren Food Service, Columbus Grove. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Celina. She was a member of Chapter 527 Order of Eastern Star, Columbus Grove, for more than 50 years, and the Sorosis Club, Continental. She had been a member of Chapter 129 OES, Continental. She was a graduate of Continental High School.
Survivors include two sons, Roy William A. Geren of Wapakoneta and Clare Wayne Geren of Celina; a daughter, Joyce Ann Geren of Celina; and five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Leon Spangler; and three sisters, Florence Spangler, Myrtle Gordon and Gladis Minch McKenzie.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Jeff Smalley will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Monroe cemetery, Continental.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lima
DONALD L. KLOUCHEK, 65, died at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 16, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 22, 1940, near Pontiac, Mich., to Walter Klouchek and Hester Scott Klouchek Fink. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Irons, Mich. On June 19, 1985, he married
Melanie Frazier Stolzenburg, who survives.
Mr. Klouchek retired as a maintenance welder from Ford Mother Co. He was a member and current commander of American Legion Post 96. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199. He was an Air Force veteran and had been on the Air Force Pistol & Rifle Team.
Survivors also include six children, Becky Ferguson of Maryland, Mindy Klouchek, Missy Klouchek and Darrin Klouchek, all of Mansfield, Lisa Stolzenburg of Wapakoneta and Brian Scott (Carrie) Stolzenburg of Lima; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn (Dick) Dorrance and Pat (Jack) Borrah, both of Michigan, Sharon (Bill) Salby of California and Brenda Minor of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Klouchek; and a daughter, Kathy.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Gust A. Wuorinen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew cemetery, Cridersville, with military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lima
MARTHA LOUISE "MARTY" KOHLER, 73, died at 4:10 a.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Waynesfield to Edward and Laura Krebs Shaw, who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1969, she married
Howard "Gene" Kohler, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Kohler retired from Ex-Cell-O/Airfoil Textron and had worked at the Lima Packing Co. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and had been a member of Bluelick United Methodist Church. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary, both in Lima, and the Order of Eastern Star, Lafayette. She had been a member of the Friday night bowling league at 20th Century Lanes.
Survivors also include a son, Jon (Sue) Burden of Lima; three grandchildren, Nicholas Burden, Laura Burden and Matthew Burden; and a special nephew, Bud Bodell of Lima.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Maxwell and Gene Shaw; and a sister, Isabel Bodell.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Derrick Russel will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, Waynesfield.

Bluffton
JAMES E. MESSINGER, 76, died at 9:37 p.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Bluffton to Aaron and Ella Tschiegg Messinger, who preceded him in death. On June 27, 1953, he married
Janet Stover, who survives.
Mr. Messinger was a farmer and retired from Triplett Corp., Bluffton. He was also a woodworker and substitute school bus driver. He was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. He was a 1947 graduate of Bluffton High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors also include a son, Douglas (Lorri) Messinger of Findlay; a daughter, Diane (Donald) Smith of DeGraff; and four stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. The Rev. Roger Ford will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LARRY NICHOLS, 54, died at 12:10 p.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System.

THOMAS "SPIKE" SCHNELLE, 81, died at 2:55 p.m. Jan. 14, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Rev. John W. Tostrick will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery, New Bremen.

RUBY H. SCHRAMM, 86, formerly of Delphos, died at 8:17 p.m. Jan. 15, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Fostoria
BLANCHE M. SHULTZ, 97, died at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 14, 2006, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Fostoria to Nicholas T. And Veronica Snyder Lamberjack, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 16, 1930, at Our Lady of Consolation, Cary, she married
Richard M. "Dick" Shultz, who died Jan. 9, 1970.
Mrs. Shultz was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and its Rosary Altar Society, the Third Order of St. Francis Secular Franciscans, Daughters of Isabella, and had been a member of its memorial choir for 25 years. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Bureau of Concern and Fostoria Community Hospital. She had a special devotion in the making of rosaries.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Howard "Pat") Sendelbach of Fostoria and Eleanor (Melvin) Householder of Findlay; five sons, Richard R. (Trina) Shultz of Van Wert, Gerald L. (Charlene) Shultz of Fostoria, Thomas G. (Marcella) Shultz of East Granby, Conn., David J. (Louise) Shultz of Findlay and Edward J. (Joyce) Shultz of Sylvania; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Vitalie of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Gerald and Robert Lamberjack; five sisters, Eulalia Lonsway, Hilda Ruffing, Dorothy Payment, Sister Mary Agatha, and Inez Frey; and two half brothers, Otto and Carl Lamberjack.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary service will be held 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Secular Franciscan rosary service will be held at 4 p.m. and a rosary service at 8 p.m.
