MARY F. LEY, 92, of Tiffin, formerly of Kalida, died July 22, 2004, at her daughter's residence.
She was born July 27, 1911, in Kalida to Joseph and Wilhelminia Smith Kahle, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 4, 1944, at St, Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, she married
Carl R. Ley, who died Oct. 20, 1980.
Mrs. Ley was a homemaker and had retired as head of the cafeteria at St. Mary School, after 19 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. She had been a Girl Scout leader for 13 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Joann (Robert) Warnement of Tiffin; a brother, Arnold R. Kahle of Kalida; five grandchildren, Matthew J. Warnement of Solon, Mary Claire (Eric) Griffin and Mollie (John William) Bremyer, both of Tiffin, Michael R. Warnement of Nashville, Tenn., and Megan K. Warnement of Tiffin; and two great-grandchildren, Robert John and Mary Margaret Bremyer.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, Cy, Bob, Harry, Joe and Vince Kahle.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, where a rosary service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, Tiffin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or library; St. Joseph Playground Fund or library; the Calvert Foundation; or Community Hospice Care.
Roundhead
MABEL L. RITCHIE MORGAN, 73, died at 4:15 a.m. July 22, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Lima to Gerald W. and Alice Marie Bott Ritchie, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 22, 1951, in Bluffton, she married
Max Morgan, who survives in Roundhead.
Mrs. Morgan had been a money counter at National Bank and Metropolitan Bank, both in Lima. She had also been an elevator operator at the National Bank Building, Lima.
Survivors also include a brother, William Ritchie of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Chuck"; and a sister, Juanita.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Armentrout Funeral Home, Waynesfield. Father David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

EDITH PENCE, 94, died at 6:10 p.m. July 21, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. Dean Greenwood will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.

McComb
LESTER IRVIN SPITSNAUGLE, 89, died at 2 p.m. July 20, 2004, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Bluffton.
He was born March 18, 1915, in Dupont to Irvin and Mary Prowant Spitsnaugle, who preceded him in death. On March 17, 1948, in Covington, Ky., he married
Marjean Campbell, who died April 3, 2004.
Mr. Spitsnaugle was a lifelong farmer and had retired as a supervisor for the Ohio Department of Transportation in Hancock County. He had also worked at Dow Chemical Co. and had been head of the grounds at the University of Findlay. He was a member of the McComb Lions Club and Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo. He was a 50-year member of Sycamore Lodge, Deshler; Zenobia Shrine Club, Toledo; Chapter 58 Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Findlay; Commandery 49 Knights Templar, Findlay; and Council 50, Royal & Select Masons, Findlay. He was a member of the Ohio Republican Party. He was a 1934 graduate of McComb High School. He was an avid sportsman enjoying bowling, fishing and camping. He was a fan of the McComb Panthers.
Survivors include two sons, Dan (Kathy) Spitsnaugle of Findlay and Tim Spitsnaugle of Vienna, W.Va.; two daughters, Karen (Steve) Okuly of Findlay and Teri (Tom) Hauenstein of Bluffton; six grandchildren, Ben Okuly, Adam Hauenstein, Zane Spitsnaugle, Alyssa Hauenstein, Samantha Spitsnaugle and Tristram Spitsnaugle; two brothers, Paul Spitsnaugle of Findlay and Otis Spitsnaugle of North Baltimore; and two sisters, Datha (Floyd) VanAtta of Findlay and Doris (Rolla) Wolford of McComb.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Spitsnaugle; a granddaughter, Emily Anne Spitsnaugle; and a brother, Ivan Spitsnaugle.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in McComb Union cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Harper will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Van Wert
MARCELE LEE ANNA SUDLOW, 90, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Van Wert, died July 19, 2004, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center, Punta Gorda.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Father Charles Obinwa will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery, Van Wert.

Lima
MARY WEST, 79, died at 7:58 a.m. July 19, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Greenwood, Miss., to Ed and Gertrude Campbell, who preceded her in death. On April 10, 1949, she married
Charlie West Jr., who died March 18, 1996.
Mrs. West was a homemaker. She was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mothers Board and had been a member of the choir. She had been a member of the Silver Bells Gospel Group.
Survivors include two sons, Sammie L. West of Portland, Ore., and Michael L. West of Lima; two daughters, Renail West and Patricia Sharpey, both of Lorain; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucinda Campbell of Greenwood, Miss.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angeline Dillard; two sons, Willie C. Campbell and Willie B. West; four brothers, Jessie, Adock, William and Ned Campbell; and a sister, Clytie Campbell.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Robert Toney will officiate and the Rev. King Beverly will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Dayton National cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
