DAVID A. HEFFNER, 47, of Dayton, formerly of Lima, died Oct. 25, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, following an extended illness.
He was born to James Heffner and Wanda Webb, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Heffner had attended Lima Senior High School. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include three brothers, Mark (Barb) Heffner, Michael (Becky) Heffner and Andy (Barb) Heffner, all of Lima; two sisters, Lisa (Clyde) White and Angela Heffley, both of Lima.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Nov. 13 in the Dayton National cemetery, Dayton.
Lima
C. MICHAEL EASTERLING, 66, died at 11:40 a.m. Nov. 1, 2006, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1940, in Henry Clay, Ky., to C.A. and Janis Reese Easterling, who survive in Somerset, Ky. On April 12, 1959, he married
Rosemarie Skiba, who survives.
Mr. Easterling retired as an engineer from General Dynamics. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2661, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Loge 54 and the American Defense Association. He was also a member of AMVETS Post 1, where he had served as commander and as a state officer. He was a life member of American Legion Post 96. He was an Air Force veteran. His wife was the angel of his life.
Survivors also include a son, Richard (Cathy) Easterling, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Cyndi Easterling, of Warren, Mich.; two brothers, the Rev. Dick (Brenda) Easterling and Corbin Easterling, both of Kentucky; a sister, Mary Beth Easterling, of Covington, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Katie, Sara and Meredith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Easterling.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. today at St. Charles Catholic Church. Father John Stites will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.

Lima
SCOTT DOLAN, 44, died the morning of Nov. 2, 2006, from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
He was born Sept. 5, 1962, to David T. Dolan and Peggy Rush Burr. His father survives in Kingsport, Tenn., and his mother in Springfield. He had been married
to Julie Kreitz Dolan, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Dolan was a recruiter for Stump Associates Professional Placement Service, Dayton. He loved music, singing, refinishing furniture and coaching youth sports.
Survivors also include two children, Brode and Miranda Dolan, both of Lima; two sisters, Terri (Larry) Boyd and Lisa (Mark) Thompson, both of Springfield; a brother, Jonathan R. Dolan, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three nephews, Ryan, Kyle and Christian; an aunt, Susie Crain, of Springfield; and several cousins and friends.
Services will begin at 5 p.m. today at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield.
Friends may call one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.
New Cleveland
JANICE P. DEITERING, 65, died at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 30, 2006, at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf, surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 2, 1940, in Venedocia to Aloysius and Evelyn Hessling Mueller. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Ottoville. On Feb. 7, 1959, she married
William E. Deitering Sr., who died March 8, 1992.
Mrs. Deitering had worked in the meat department at the IGA, Leipsic. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, and its Altar Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a 1958 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School, Delphos. She enjoyed playing bingo and baking cookies.
Survivors also include two sons, William (Tonya) Deitering Jr. of Leipsic and Douglas (Diane) Deitering of Glandorf; four daughters, Marcia (Don) Barnhart of Kalida, Marilyn (Dick) Dobmeyer of Miller City, Donna (Bruce) Pump of Fremont and Jennifer (Rob) Guisinger of Botkins; 12 grandchildren, Kristin M. Barnhart, Justin L. Barnhart, Austin W. Barnhart, Todd M. Dobmeyer, Brandon J. Dobmeyer, Brett W. Deitering, Heather R. Deitering, Ross D. Deitering, Ben A. Deitering, Chance A. Guisinger, Drew W. Guisinger and Casey M. Guisinger; two stepgrandchildren, Heather R. Pump and Ryan J. Pump; two brothers, the Rev. Donald Mueller of Gibsonburg and Joseph (Diane) Mueller of Delphos; and two sisters, Angela (Jerry) Hohlbein of Ottoville and Sister Anna Marie/Diane Mueller of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Ann Mueller.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland. The Revs. Donald Mueller and Robert DeSloover will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a CLC and altar rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

ROBERT WILLIAM HABLITZEL, 89, died at 10:22 a.m. Aug. 31, 2006, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.

MELVIN F. RICKER, 87, died at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 31, 2006, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Fort Jennings to Herman and Rose Schimmoeller Ricker, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 3, 1955, he married
Lucille Kleman, who survives in Leipsic.
Mr. Ricker retired from farming and from Libby-McNeil, Leipsic. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Ohio Farmers Union and an honorary member of Boy Scout Troop 225.
Survivors also include two sons, Jim (Cindy) Ricker of New Cleveland and Duane (Geri) Ricker of Glandorf; a daughter, Patricia (Jim) Kroeger of Leipsic; six grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta Moening of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Edmund Ricker; and four sisters, Luealla Alt, Charlotte Alt, Edna Lammers and Dorothy Kuhlman.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. Father George Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LORI A. STEVENS, 45, died at 3:19 p.m. Aug. 28, 2006, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Philadelphia.
She was born July 7, 1961, in Van Wert to Donald Klinger and Patricia A. Sherman. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Van Wert. She married
Robert D. "Bob" Stevens, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Mrs. Stevens had worked at National Group, now known as Tire Equipment Co., Cridersville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. She was a 1979 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School, Delphos. She loved and enjoyed being a wife, mother, sister and friend.
Survivors also include a son, Jamie A. Stevens at home; a brother, Michael A. "Mike" Ford of Indianapolis; a sister, Teresa L. (Brad) Weaver of Berne, Ind.; her father-in-law, Charles T. Stevens of Alger; several nieces and nephews, including Ashley Fraker of Berne, Ind.; and her stepmother, Sam Klinger of Delphos.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joel Robert Stevens; and her mother-in-law, Carolyn F. Stevens.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Jerry Wiles will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, near Uniopolis.
