VIOLET I. DECKER, 86, died at 8:55 p.m. Dec. 7, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Oct. 12, 1919, in Ottawa to Elmer and Mabel Tingle McGinnis, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 21, 1939, she married
Edmund F. Decker, who died May 7, 1994.
Mrs. Decker was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Church. She had been a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System. She was a 1937 graduate of Ottawa High School. She enjoyed children's work in the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia "Ginny" (Henry "Hank") Otto of Spencerville; a brother, Donald E. (Audrey) McGinnis of Ashland, Ky.; two sisters, Mildred Murphy of Lima and Betty Kinkley of Elida; and two grandchildren, Deborah R. (John W.) Sawvel of Dayton and Elizabeth A. (Jason L.) Gieseler of Fenton, Mich.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Alta Blume, Lucille Mullett and Mary Fosnaugh.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Mark Bayliff will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.

Spencer, Ind.
FRANK JUNIOR FEICHTER, 78, of Spencer, Ind., formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Dec. 8, 2005, at Bloomington Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Allen County, Indiana, to Charles F. and Ida May Young Feichter, who preceded him in death. His wife of 59 years, Maureen McBride Feichter, survives in Spencer, Ind.
Mr. Feichter had been a commercial roofer for C.L. Schust, Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors also include four daughters, Gloria (Ron) Beatty of Spencer, Ind., Sarah (Donald) Stevenson of Lima, Cheryl (John Ritzman) Turner of North Glenn, Colo., and Lynn (Tom) Baker of Hickory, N.C.; a son, Frank D. (Lisa) Feichter of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Frances Bell of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Eddie Getts Jr., Tricia Hogan, Ryan Feichter, Scott Feichter, Tasha Reinhart, Seth Reinhart, Cherlyn Riley, William Stevenson, Jenny Stevenson and Kiera Hansen; and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Feichter; three brothers, Richard "Dick", Edward and Robert "Pooch" Feichter; and a grandson, Benjamin Hansen.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chandler Funeral Home, Ellettsville, Ind.

Pandora
TREVA M. GEIGER, 80, died at 4:50 a.m. Dec. 9, 2005, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Riley Township, Putnam County, to Monroe and Anna Hofstetter Geiger, who preceded her in death.
Miss Geiger had been a missionary midwife and Bible school teacher with the Gospel Missionary Union in Mali from 1955 to 1995. She was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. She was a 1943 graduate of Pandora High School, a 1947 graduate of Grace Bible Institute, Omaha, Neb., and a graduate of the Swedish Covenant Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago, and the School of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium. She attended French language school in Neuchtel, Switzerland, in 1954 and the Frontier Midwifery School, Hyden, Ky.
Survivors include two brothers, Wallace (Wanda) Geiger and Mahlon (Anne) Geiger, both of Pandora; and two sisters, Lois (Peter) Voran of North Newton, Kan., and Wava (Harry) Wiens of Mount Lake, Minn.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora. The Revs. Rennie Burrus and Richard Tschetter will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Lima
CLARICE A. REYNOLDS, 66, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Lima, died Dec. 5, 2005, at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Fla.
She was born May 21, 1939, in Lima. Her husband of 48 years, James L. Reynolds, survives in Winter Haven, Fla.
Mrs. Reynolds had been a legal secretary for attorney Bob Balyeat for 30 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a member of the Cypresswood 18 Hole Ladies Golf Association, the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary and the Legal Secretaries Association.
Survivors also include two sons, James L. (Terrie) Reynolds of Lima and Timothy A. Reynolds of Sidney; a daughter, Jama L. (Michael) Boggs of Lima; a brother, Clair "Butch" (June) Leffler of Lima; and 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel M. Schmitt.
Memorial services will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 28 at Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima.

DOROTHY ANN SINGLETON, 79, died at 6:40 a.m. Dec. 8, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born April 25, 1926, in Lima to Lawrence Dickinsheets and Laura S. Gnagi, who preceded her in death. On May 25, 1947, she married
Jay Robert Singleton, who died July 3, 1996.
Mrs. Singleton worked in sales at Lazarus for 16 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a 1944 graduate of Lima Central High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Survivors include two sons, Chris A. (Sue) Singleton and Timothy J. Singleton, both of Lima; and a grandson, Seth Singleton of Lima.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lima
GEORGE UPSHAW Jr., 80, died at 2 a.m. Dec. 8, 2005, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
He was born April 27, 1925, in Springhill, Ala., to George and Lillie Bell Gordy Upshaw Sr., who preceded him in death. On May 23, 1960, he married
Leatha M. O'Neal, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Upshaw retired as a machinist from Teledyne Ohio Steel. He was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church, where he had served on the usher board.
Survivors include a brother, Johnnie Lee Upshaw of Detroit; a sister-in-law, Luella Doxie of Lima; two special nephews, John (Linda) Doxie and Charles Doxie, both of Lima; and two special nieces, Annie Tolbert of Lima and Kathy Anderson of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Joseph Upshaw.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. B. LaMont Monford Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Alger
DAVID D. ARNETT, 41, of Hayes, Va., formerly of Alger, died at 4:05 p.m. Jan. 4, 2006, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Gloucester, Va.
He was born Jan. 18, 1964, in Lima to Elwood Arnett and Onaville Daniels Kahler. His father and stepmother, Nancy Arnett, survive in Alger. His mother and stepfather, Donald Kahler, survive in Beaverdam.
Mr. Arnett was a tattoo artist. He was a veteran of the Ohio and Virginia National Guard, serving from 1981 to 1992.
Survivors also include a son, Jermey (Sheri) Cameron of Lima; a daughter, Shannon Denise Arnett of Newport News, Va.; five brothers, Darrell Arnett of Lima, Calvin (Tammie) Arnett of Alger and Donald Eugene Kahler, Donald Kahler and Gary Lee (Shirley) Kahler, all of Newport News, Va.; six sisters, Nellie Smith of Lima, Michelle (Kyle) LeMar of Lakeview, Shonda (Michael) Osborn and Chasity (Jason) Castle, both of Alger, Bonnita Stanford of New Castle, Ind., and Juanita Daniels of Kenton; six grandchildren; paternal grandfather, Bob Kash Arnett of Kenton; and his former wife, Kimberly Ann Arnett of Hayes, Va.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leslie and Bonnie Daniels; paternal grandmother, Nellie Arnett; and a niece, NiKencie Castle.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastor Robert Dye will officiate.
