Michael L. Hooker, 43, died at 5 a.m. May 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1970, in Lima to Harlan F. and Sharon L. Copperman Hooker Jr. His father and stepmother, Robin Hooker, survive in Lima. His mother and stepfather, James Michael Ogle, preceded him in death. He married
Charlotte Smith, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Hooker was a 1989 graduate of Shawnee High School. He worked at Honda of America, Anna. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and listening to music. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors also include three children, Alison Marie Hooker, Logan Michael Hooker and Rachel Lynn Hooker, all at home; two sisters, Cindy Furr and Denise Ogle, both of Lima; father-in-law, Charles Smith, of Lima; mother-in-law, Ruth Smith, of Bluffton, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Michael Yancey) Miller, of Bluffton, Ind., and Rita Loggins, of Lima; and five nieces and a nephew, Tawnie Furr, Ceara Furr, Tevin Newell, Ashley Smith, Emily Smith and Shayla Ogle; and several close freidns and extended family at Honda of America.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Marcus Allen Furr; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Nancy Stimmel and Harlan F. Hooker Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Larry and Betty Copperman.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Robert Pophal will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Bernice M. Reichenbach
June 29, 1924 - May 24, 2013

Bernice Marie Oberly Reichenbach, 88, died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Willow Ridge, Bluffton.
She was born in Putnam County, Ohio, on June 29, 1924, to Reno and Bertha Hochstettler Oberly, who preceded her in death. On December 17, 1944, she married
Fred Reichenbach, who died July 24, 1998.
Mrs. Reichenbach was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Cory High School. She worked at Electric Auto Lite in Toledo and at Millagers' Pharmacy in Bluffton.
She retired from Triplett Corp. in Bluffton, after working there more than 20 years.
Mrs. Reichenbach was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She had been a member of Garden Study Club. Some of her favorite pastimes included flower gardening, doing puzzles, reading and cooking.
Survivors include three children, a son, Norman (Linda) Reichenbach, of rural Ada; two daughters, Linda (Dave) Burkholder, of St. Marys; and Rhonda (Curt) PallasDowney, of Cottonwood, AZ; ten grandchildren, Gregory (Lubna) Reichenbach, Daryl (Nancy) Reichenbach, Chad (Angie) Reichenbach, Heather Smith, Timothy (Wendi) Burkholder, Sarah PallasDowney, Courtney Downey, Tonja Downey, Jenny Downey, and Adam (Vicki) Downey; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim and Wade (Carolyn) Oberly, both of Bluffton; and two sisters, Dorothy Porter of Findlay and Marilyn (Reldon) Schirch of Fountain Hills, AZ.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie (Margie) Davis; a sister-in-law, Betty Oberly; and two brothers-in-law, Frank (Smokie) Porter and Joe Davis.
Services will begin at 10:30 am Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor David Plant will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ or Mennonite Memorial Home.
Geraldine M. "Jerry" Hollar
February 18, 1928 - May 25, 2013

Geraldine M. "Jerry" Hollar, 85, died at 2:05 p.m. May 25, 2013, at Shawnee Manor.
She was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Ada to Alfred and Gladys Williams Neu, who preceded her in death. On May 28, 1955, she married
Herschel "Jim" Hollar, who survives.
Mrs. Hollar worked at Excello and was a homemaker. In her early life, she taught roller skating at the Dixie Roller Rink. She really enjoyed making and keeping a home for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a son, Randy (Ginger) Hollar, a daughter, Linda (Michael) Louck; four granddaughters, Amber Louck, Alicia (Dan) Schlieman, Angela (John) Thomas and Kyla Hollar; a grandson, Dru Hollar; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Hollar, Austin Schlieman, Brock Schlieman and Parker Thomas; a brother, Dallas (Doris) Neu; a sister, Katie Gerding; two sisters-in-law, Jo Neu and Joann Neu; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell, Scott, Bill and Carl Neu; a sister, Sharon Hollar; two sisters-in-law, Vondale Neu and Ethel Neu; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Hollar and Ken Gerding.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Mark Tisch will official. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ralph I. Reed

Ralph I. Reed, 76, died at 5:23 p.m. May 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 17, 1936, in Lima to Carl A. and Shirley H. Bender Reed, who preceded him in death. On April 28, 1983, he married
Marjorie Courtney Reed, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Reed retired after 42 years of work at Stedke Construction. He really enjoyed camping, fishing and watching the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved spending time with his family and his best buddy, Landon. Go Bucks!
Survivors include a daughter, Almeta Jones; a son, Randy (Karen) Reed; a daughter, Wanda Reed; a son-in-law, Garry Braun; a daughter, Dana (Scott Wemlinger) Reed;a daughter, Cathy (David) Jennings; a daughter, Lynnette (Gary) Essex; a son, David (Carol) Porter; a daughter, Shari (Jeff) Erb; a son, Tim (Laura) Porter; a brother, Carl (Sonny) Reed; a sister, Coleen White; 46 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a former wife, Carolyn Smith.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine; two daughters, Lisa Braun and Beverly Hatcher; and a son-in-law, Allen Jones.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Jim Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Ash Grove cemetery, Lima.

Dorothy M. Fedele

Dorothy M. Fedele, 81, died at 10:17 a.m. May 20, 2013, at Lost Creek Care Center.
She was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Auglaize County to Stanley and Vesta Plummer Shaw, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 5, 1948, she married
James F. Fedele, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Fedele enjoyed gardening and painting and was an excellent cook. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed.
Survivors also include three daughters, Sharon (Jim) Wellbaum, Priscilla (Archie) Connors and Carol (John "Rick") McDonald; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Arlie) Taylor.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Myron Shaw; six sisters, Helen White, Ruth Spencer, Kathryn "Kate" Downing, Wilma Jean Moneer, Donna Baber and Joann Good; and a son, Jim Fedele Jr.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pamela Spencer will officiate.
