WILLIAM DAVID TIMMONS,
75, died at 12:35 a.m. October 6, 2002, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
He was born February 1, 1927, in Waynesfield to William and Catherine “Cassie” Gossard Timmons, who preceded him in death. On March 29, 1952, he married
Isabelle Amstutz, who died July 14, 2002.
Mr. Timmons had worked as a maintenance technician at Vistron. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was an Army veteran serving from June 5, 1945, to November 24, 1946.
Survivors include a son, Stephen (Patricia) Timmons of Grayslake, Illinois, two daughters, Barbara J. Bame of Elida and Jenifer (Mark) Hahn of Deshler, a sister, Anna Mae (Frank) Hughes of Ormond, Florida, six grandchildren, Stephen (Lisa) Timmons of Cincinnati, Debra (Bob) Plant of Kansas City Kansas, Sharon (Mark) Neustadt of Madison, Wisconsin, Beth Anne (Erik) Kelley of Columbus, Timothy (Julie) Bame of Gomer, and Daniel Edwards of Deshler, three step grandchildren, Brian Hahn, Ashley Hahn and Justin Hahn, 10 great grandchildren, Drew Timmons, Kyle Timmons, Megan Plant, Caitlyn Plant, Sarah Plant and Erin Plant, Spencer Neustadt, Dexter Neustadt, Christian Bame and Hillarie Bame, a niece, Pam (Dan) McElderry of Swanton, a great niece, Carmen (Neil) Tedrow of Delta, and a great great nephew, Noah Tedrow of Delta.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Mel Hathaway will officiate. Burial will be in Salem cemetery, Elida, with military rites at 11 a.m. by VFW Post 1275.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a VFW memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.

LAURA WALTERS OSBORNE,
89, died at 2:12 a.m. October 8, 2002, at SCCI Hospital, Lima, Ohio.
She was born April 27, 1913, in Lima, to Harry E. and Katherine Hick Walters, who preceded her in death. On June 26, 1937, she married
James V. Osborne, who died in August of 1992.
Mrs. Osborne had taught vocal music at Lima South Junior High for nine years and had taught music and English for two years at Maple Heights, Cleveland. She was a life member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Homemakers Class, Hannah Circle and had directed several choirs. She was a member of Happy Hours Garden Club, PEO Sisterhood A S Chapter. She was a 1931 graduate of Central High School and had graduated cum laude in 1935 from Miami of Ohio with a degree in music education and fine arts. She and her husband had been married
for 55 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Wilson of Lima, four grandchildren, Tamara S. Rogers of Rhode Island, Gregg Rogers of Columbus, Natalie (John) McKenna of Coconut Creek, Florida, and Douglas L. Wilson of Lima, and a great-grandson, Jacob Q. Wilson.
A daughter, Suzanne Rogers, who died in December 1997 a brother, John S. Walters, and a grandson, James Rogers, preceded her in death.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Revs. George Pirtle and Greta Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

PAUL E. LINN,
82, died at 9:45 p.m. October 16, 2002, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born January 17, 1920, in Mercer county to Walter and Ollie Laudenbeck Linn, who preceded him in death. On April 13, 1946, he married
Helen Miller, who died June 11, 1967.
Mr. Linn was self-employed, owning and operating his own truck. He was a charter member of Peace (New Creation) Lutheran Church, where he served as a trustee. He was an Ohio State University sports fan and was also a fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, David Linn of Cleveland, Ohio, three daughters, Judy (Kim) Spyker of Massillon, Ohio and Jean Lasak and Debbie (Fred) Carmichael, both of Lima, three grandchildren, Scott (Tracy) Spyker, Brett (Shannon) Spyker and Melissa (Matt) Friesner, and four great-grandchildren, Sarah Spyker, Stephanie Spyker, Coral Friesner and Mia Spyker.
Two brothers, Robert and James Linn, preceded him in death.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Gust Wuorinen will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

ROSELAND MAE WHITE,
82 died at 5: 15 a.m. October 21, 2002, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Florida.
She was born November 27, 1919, in St. Mary’s, Ohio to Daniel and Clara Greiser Bates, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. White retired from the labor and delivery rooms at University Hospital, Columbus, and had worked for Dr. G.E. Jones, Lima, for 19 years. She was active in the Grace Community Church. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She loved to crochet, quilt, sew and travel. She adored her whole family, loving her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and their spouses and her great grand children.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Ken (Betty) White of Lima, two daughters, Jeanene Aukerman of Fairborn and Jackie Miller of Columbus, 10 grandchildren, Kimberly (Tom) Bigelow of Fairborn, Dr. Kevin (Jennifer) Aukerman, Kendra (Dr. Scott) Welton, Kraig (Terri) Aukerman, Dr. Jason (Heather) White and Sara White, all of Cincinnati, Dr. Erik (Kelly) White of Wooster, Shane Miller of Columbus, Brooke (Tom) Wedding of Powell and Melissa (Jeff) Yackley of Akron, and 10 great-grandchildren, Brian Bigelow, Kile Aukerman, Korey Aukerman, Riley Welton, Reece Welton, Hannah Rose Aukerman, Chase Miller, Katie Yackley, Hannah Yackley and Abby Yackley.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rex Aukerman, two brothers, David and Eugene, a sister, Martha and a grandchild, Christina Renee Bigelow.
Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. John Heyward will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

HAROLD D. ALLEMEIER,
81, died at 3:50 p.m. January 3, 2003, at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1921, in Delphos to Russell E. and Belva M. Richardson Allemeier, who preceded him in death. On March 14, 1977, he married
Florence Lavon Geckle Allemeier, who died September 20, 1978.
Mr. Allemeier retired from El Par Motors, Lima, where he worked as a mechanic and retired December 31, 1980. He was a World War II Veteran in the 2nd Armored Division from September 3, 1942, to November 16, 1945. He served his entire tour of duty under commanding General George Patton in the 3rd and 7th Armies of the European Theater, 195th Anti-Aircraft Battalion, and 702nd Armored Tank Regiment. He served in the Battle of the Bulge, Africa, and Casablanca, the invasion of Sicily, Berlin, Belgium, Holland and France. He was a past member of St John Lutheran Church, Fort Jennings.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth A. Robinson of Lima; two sister-in-law, Lucille Houenstein of Indian Lake and Freda Martin of Lima; three brothers-in-law, Robert Geckle of Indian Lake, Glen Geckle of Melbourne, Florida, and Lavern Geckle of Leipsic, and two cousins, Dan Erwin of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dr. Susan Erwin of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Byron Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.

ADA OZELLA MARTIN,
88, died at 3:15 p.m. January 4, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1914, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Hillery and Mollie Partin Mason, who preceded her in death. On July 24, 1933, in Kentucky, she married
Tony Martin, who died in 1998.
Mrs. Martin was a cosmetologist, owning a beauty shop in Buckland for several years and working at several shops in Lima. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Quartet “The Gospelettes for several years, was a youth director, Sunday School Teacher and played the piano. She enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald K. (Jewell) Martin, Sr. of Lima and Terry D. (Janet) Martin of Vickery; a daughter, Arleen (Robert) Jones of Tucson, Arizona; two brothers, Neal Mason of Florida and Larry (Kathy) Mason of Lima; six sisters, Joyce (Richard) Johnson and Ora Lee (Ubanus) Crites, both of Elida, Lauretta (Cecil) Evans of Florida, June (Levoy) Evans of Kentucky, Elizabeth Ackerman of Lima and Edna Sampson of Bluffton; seven grandchildren, Pamela Tornquist, James Queen, Tony Queen, Ronald Martin, Jr. Jill McCoy, Cory Martin, and Carrie Martin; 15 great-grandchildren, Andrew Tornquist, Brian Tornquist, Chris Queen, Sara Queen, Tabatha Queen, Ronald Martin III, Shannon O’Neal, Jeremy Martin, Kelsie Martin, John Brogan, Jewelie Brogan, Shannon McCoy, Stevie McCoy, Nikki McCoy and Tracey McCoy; a great-great- grandchild, Destiny O’Neal.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Velma Queen; three brothers, Leonard F. Willard and Hillery Mason, Jr. and two sisters, Edith Cawood and Helen Mason.
Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Revs. Terry Brock and Bryan Day will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

MARIE C. HEDRICK,
82, died at 7:45 a.m. January 7, 2003.
She was born March 3, 1920, in Lima to Edward and Jessie Harvey Hedrick, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Hedrick retired from Eagle Home and building Insulators and John R. Carnes Ind. After 38 years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima, and graduated from South High School in 1940. She was an avid bowler for many years and loved all sports.
Survivors include a sister, Genevieve Houtzer of Lima; her special canine friend, Heidi, a schnauzer; a nephew Rick (Eileen) Houtzer of Anaheim Hills, California; two nieces, Sandra (Marty) McCaslin of Lima and Susan Campbell of Ottawa; a niece-in-law, Jo Ellen Houtzer of Edina, Minnesota; seven great-nephews and nieces; four great-great-nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hedrick; a brother-in-law, Richard Houtzer; and a nephew, Terry Houtzer.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Christopher Vasko will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
