ROBERT D. FISSELL, 78, died at 10:55 a.m. Feb. 7, 2003, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
He was born March 12, 1914, to Grant and Catherine Toner Fissell, who preceded him in death. On April 16, 1954, he married
Ellanore Garrington, who survives.
Mr. Fissell was self-employed in a vending business.
Survivors also include a son, Quinton D. Fissell of New Baltimore, Mich.; two daughters, Jeanine "Kelly" (Mark) LeMar of Mentor and Denise (William) Guidera of Abilene, Texas; and five grandchildren, Nicholas Guidera, Amanda LeMar, Evan LeMar, Morgan Fissell and Nathan Fissell.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin, Reed and Grant Fissell; and a sister, Catherine Fissell.
Private family services will be held.

Kalida
JEFF L. HEITMEYER, 23, died at 11:34 p.m. Feb. 7, 2002, in Farwell, Mich.
He was born Feb. 11, 1979, in Sandusky to Ron and Sharon VonderEmbse Heitmeyer, who survive in Kalida.
Mr. Heitmeyer was a sophomore at Owens Community College, Findlay Campus. He was a 1997 graduate of Kalida High School.
Survivors also include a sister, Jennifer (Brian) Klausing of Perrysburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Viola VonderEmbse and Alphonse and Alma Heitmeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida. The Rev. Scott Kramer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael cemetery, Kalida.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

St. Marys
JULIA RENDA JAYNES, 75, died at 3:45 a.m. Feb. 7, 2003, at her residence.
There will be no services or visitation.

Ada
JO KINDLE, 66, died at 7:40 a.m., Feb. 8, 2003, at her residence.
She was born March 4, 1936, in Hardin County to Lee and Cora Wolfley Tressel, who preceded her in death. On June 30, 1956, she married
Clair W. Kindle, who died March 4, 1999.
Mrs. Kindle retired from The Ada Herald, where she had several positions, including editor. She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Ada. She worked on the farm with her husband. She was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. She was a former 4-H adviser for 13 years (Liberty Belles 4-H Club). She was a former member of the Ada Mother's Study Club and served on the Ada school board from 1980 to 1988.
Survivors include two daughters, Jodi (Jack) Witte of Rockton, Ill., and Kelly Murphy of Ada; and four grandchildren, Josh Murphy, Eric Witte, Alex Witte and Kimberly Witte.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene, Lee J. and Kenneth D. Tressel; and a son-in-law, Curtis Murphy.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. The Rev. Laura Raypholtz-Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lima
EDNA LUCILLE LOWE, 80, died at 9:32 p.m. Feb. 6, 2003, at SCCI Hospital, Lima.
She was born April 4, 1922, in Lima to Charles and Glenna Fickle Laing, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lowe worked as a district personnel manager for J.C. Penney Co. She was an avid volunteer with senior citizens. She traveled extensively and took up real-estate sales as a hobby after retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Harold (Shirley) Hughes of California and Langley (Diane) Hughes of Minnesota; two daughters, Nancy (Gvido) Grinbergs of California and Glenna Hughes of Lima; two brothers, Charles (Dorothy) Laing of Lima and Fred (Fairy) Edminston of Michigan; three sisters, Opal (William) Hinegardner of Ohio, Mildred Allen of Simi Valley, Calif., and Susie (Scotty) Stewart of Oregon; and 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Interment will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum, Long Beach, Calif.

Delphos
JOHN J. MILLER, 83, died at 4:50 a.m. Feb. 8, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Landeck to Adam and Loretta Etzkorn Miller, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 14, 1946, he married
Della Leist, who died Sept. 14, 2001.
Mr. Miller was a machinist at Ford Motor Co. and a farmer. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His hobbies included gardening and farming. He loved his grandchildren and baking pies for friends.
Survivors include a son, Tim (Kathleen) Miller of Delphos; two daughters, Jeanne R. (William) Gallaway of Kyle, Texas, and Lori A. (Mark) Bridges of Celina; two brothers, Alphonse Miller of Delphos and Paul Miller of Chandler, Ariz.; three sisters, Ann (Gene) Klausing and Mary Newmeyer, both of Delphos, and Luella Beard of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Christy Miller and Julie Miller, both of Delphos, Tami Gallaway of Tempe, Ariz., Troy Gallaway of Kyle, Texas, and Samantha Bridges of Celina; and a great-grandchild, Corran Gallaway of Kyle, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. The Rev. Vincent Hoying will officiate. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist cemetery, Landeck, with military rites by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
