DOROTHY J. GODFREY, 83, died at 9:11 a.m. Aug. 8, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Lima to Clifford L. and Helen Maisch Nichols, who preceded her in death.
On Aug. 1, 1970, she married
Harold Godfrey, who died Feb. 5, 2001.
Mrs. Godfrey was a dental assistant with several Lima dentists for 25 years, including Dr. Brown and Dr. Brunk. She was a member of Southside Christian Church; the American Association of Retired Persons; and the Wapakoneta Eagles Auxiliary 691.
Survivors include a son, Richard L. (Cindy) Godfrey of Lima; a sister, Maxine Danby of Lima; a son-in-law, Marion Ridenour of Lima; caregiver and granddaughter, Joette "Jody" Rapp of Cridersville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Ridenour, and two brothers, Donald and Richard Nichols.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home.

Elida
EARL E. GOOD, 75, of Pineville, La., formerly of Elida, died at 4:15 a.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Elida to Noah and Clara Good, who preceded him in death. He had been married
to Elsie Focht, who survives in Bellefontaine. On July 21, 1970, he married
Joanna Ackerman Contris, who survives.
Mr. Good owned Mid-City Service, Alexandria, La. He was a member of the Pat Robinson 700 Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving two years.
Survivors also include four sons, Carl R. (Debra) Good of Bellefontaine, Edwin L. Good of Lima, William E. (Joella) Good of Galion and Earl Dean (Mary) Good of Spencerville; two daughters, Marcie A. Humphreys of Elida and Robin L. Klapp of Lima; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. Burial will be in Pike Mennonite cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

LIMA
MARY CATHERINE KAVERMAN, 79, died at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Ottoville, to Isadore and Ida Brinkman Friemoth, who preceded her in death. On June 21, 1947, in Ohio she married
Paul Otto Kaverman, who died Sept. 17, 1995.
Mrs. Kaverman was a graduate of Ottoville High School. She did housework in Lima for years and then worked at Shenk's Store in Delphos for many years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its bereavement group. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She liked to sew, crochet, play cards and dance.
Survivors include a son, Richard "Dick" Kaverman of Toledo; five daughters, Kay (Dale) Hatch of New Madison, Margie Moyer of Galion, Susan "Sue" Kaverman and Mariann "Sam" Briggs, both of Lima, and Debbie (Dennis) Benson of Findlay; a brother, Jerome (Viola) Friemoth of Ottoville; 12 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Elida.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a Rosary service will be held at 8 p.m.

Van Wert
FRANCES ELIZABETH MCVAY, 88, died at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 8, 2003, at VanCrest Health Care Center.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert. The Rev. Edward W. Jillson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenville Union cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at her residence in Van Wert.

Lima
MARY REYNOLDS, 75, died at 1:02 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

LIMA
WARREN F. WESTBELD, 77, of Lima, died at 8:58 p.m., Aug. 8, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1926, in Kalida to Lawrence and Irene Zeller Westbeld Sr., who preceded him in death. On Jan. 31, 1948, he married
M. Irene Burns, who survives in Lima.
He was employed at Artkraft Industries, the Lima Army Tank Plant and retired from Airfoil Textron after 36 years.
He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 of St. Marys, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, West Central Ohio Gem and Mineral Society, Ohio Flint Ridge Runners, and the Deming, N.M., Gem & Mineral Society. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the 132nd Infantry Rainbow Division.
Survivors also include a son, Michael Westbeld of Tehacahapi, Calif.; three daughters, Karen (Peter) Sawchuk of Swanton, Becky French of Louisville, Ky., and Deb (Joe) Hauenstein of Lima; two brothers, Norman Westbeld of Louisville, Ohio, and Lawrence Westbeld Jr. of Kalida; three sisters, Dolores (Carl) Hoffman of Centerville, and Charlene (Harry) Routson and Kathy Karcher, both of Findlay; six grandchildren, Stacy (Greg) Whitt, Scott Oglesbee, Jeff Oglesbee, Josh French, Kirk Hauenstein and Zak Sawchuk; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Dylan Whitt.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gethsemani cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp-Straub Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be at 8 p.m.

MARGARET ELIZABETH "BETTE" YARGER, 77, died at 3:15 a.m. Feb. 14, 2004, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

RICHARD B. BOECKMAN, 82, died at 10:35 a.m. Feb. 14, 2004, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Father Ronald Wilker will officiate. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth cemetery, Coldwater.

Lima
GAYLORD LEWIS COTTERMAN, 77, died at 2 a.m. Feb. 13, 2004, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1926, in Melrose to Jim Lawrence and Harriet Crabtree Ostendorf Cotterman, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 9, 1945, he married
Waneta J. Jennings, who survives.
Mr. Cotterman was a laborer with Clark Equipment, Western Ohio Stone Co., and Buckeye Rubber, where he retired in 1990. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors also include two sons, Gary A. (Anne) Cotterman of Cridersville and G. Louis (Katie) Cotterman of Spencerville; two daughters, Joanna J. (Darrell) Smith of Lima and Vicki L. (Mike) Stantz of Ada; a brother, Darold (Lois) Cotterman of Columbia City, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Cotterman.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. The Rev. Mark Vernik will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee cemetery at a later date.
