Lima
HELEN L. HUENKE, 82, died at 2:50 p.m. April 21, 2007, at Vancrest Health Care Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Ada
JOAN REICHERT, 87, died at 11:55 a.m. April 21, 2007, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
She was born Sept. 3, 1919, in Ada to Fred and Nevada Travers Shaw, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 7, 1952, she married Vincent R. Reichert, who died July 19, 2002.
Mrs. Reichert was a homemaker. She also previously worked as a teacher and as a lab technician. She was a graduate of Ohio Northern University. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Twice Ten Arts Club and the Junior Civic League.
Survivors include two sons, Fred (Kristie) Reichert, of Ada, and Mark (Lori) Reichert, of Dearborn, Mich.; a daughter, Nancy Reichert, of Hudson, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Joan Reichert.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada. The Rev. David Young will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Columbus Grove
JOHN W. "JACK" STEELE, 86, died at 8:10 a.m. April 20, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Ottawa to William and Alta Stalter Steele, who preceded him in death. In September 1942, he married Geneva Everitt, who died Nov. 19, 1959. On Feb. 2, 1974, he married Ruth Dackin, who died July 4, 2003.
Mr. Steele retired from Pleasant Township. He was a member of St. John Methodist Church, Columbus Grove. He was a member of Lodge 364 Free & Accepted Masons, American Legion Post 516 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2772, all in Columbus Grove. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include a son, Bruce E. Steele, of Columbus Grove; a daughter, Donna J. McMillen, of Columbus Grove; a stepdaughter, Linda (Dave) Caton, of Lima; a sister, Louise M. Ruth, of Lima; and two grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, William D. Steele; and a sister, Doris Jean Kemmer.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Gary Ginter will officiate. Burial will be in Truro cemetery, Columbus Grove, with military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Lima
LENORA KATHERINE WILLIAMS, 92, died at 12:20 a.m. April 21, 2007, at Lima Convalescent Home.
Arrangements are incomplete at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Columbus
LAUSTER ADKINS, 81, died at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 27, 2002, at Minerva Park Place Nursing Home, Minerva Park.
He was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Pineville, Ky., to Patrick and Nellie Sizemore Adkins, who preceded him in death. His stepmother, Gladys Adkins, survives in Vaughnsville. On Jan. 23, 1952, he married LaBonna E. Baggs, who died March 31, 1979.
Mr. Adkins was a forklift operator at Fisher Cheese. He had also worked at Pride of Lima as a meat boner. He was a member of the Meat Cutters Union. He enjoyed gardening and loved his family and his old Kentucky home.
Survivors also include two sons, Lauster James (Vicki) Adkins Sr. of Lima and Luther H. (Michelle) Adkins of Columbus; four daughters, Connie (James) Sneary of Columbus, Octavia Lynn (Ken) Ross and Lenora E. (Steve) Jones, both of Lima, and Rowena (Steve) Fundum of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Bernard Adkins of Vaughnsville and Carl Adkins of Lima; three sisters, Kathleen Milazzo, Beverly (Wayne) Mason and Darlene Adkins, all of Lima; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by three brothers, Elbert, Donald and Charlie Adkins; and a sister, Evelyn Adkins.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Kossuth cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Leipsic
KATHERINE BUTLER, 84, died at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 29, 2002, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born June 10, 1918, in Cleveland to Herman and Bertha Kirk Martin, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 25, 1935, she married Alfred Butler, who died May 18, 1987.
Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and had worked at the former Butler Brothers Trucking, Leipsic. She was a member of First Christian Church, Leipsic. She was a member of the Leipsic American Legion Auxiliary and a life member of the Leipsic Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Dallas Butler of Jamaica; five daughters, Bonnie Brotherton of Fort Wayne, Ind., Mary Butler, Barbara Jo Dunston and Martha Butler, all of Houston, Texas, and Kathy (Pat) Mahoney of Leipsic; and 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Butler; and a grandchild.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic. The Rev Tim Eding will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Ottawa
WILLIAM E. CROY, 73, died at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 29, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Vaughnsville to Paul and Katheryn Blymyer Croy, who preceded him in death. On July 3, 1948, he married Mary Now, who survives.
Mr. Croy was an egg processor and the owner of Croy's Produce, Putnam Farms, Tri-State Eggs and Tri-State Recycling, all of Ottawa. He was the owner of Dutch Village, Glandorf, and founded the Putnam County Community Thrift Store in 1979. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, where he actively served on many committees and attended an Emmaus walk. He was a 1947 graduate of Ottawa Public High School, where he played football, basketball and ran track. He was a timer at high school basketball games for many years. He coached Little League baseball, received the United Way of Putnam County Volunteer of the Year Award in 1989 and received numerous other volunteer awards. He loved his family, sports, camping and helping people. He particularly enjoyed attending the activities of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include two sons, William E. (Dorothy) Croy Jr. of Columbus and Fred Croy of Continental; three daughters, Nancy S. Vogt of Indian Lake, Phyllis (Tim) Macke of Ottawa and Maria A. (Tom) Lydick of Findlay; two brothers, Jim (Sally) Croy of Waterville and Don "Pete" (Jean) Croy of Ottawa; three sisters, Dorothy Michel, Carol (Gary) Okuley and Pat (Ed) Ketner, all of Ottawa; a sister-in-law, Alice Croy of Perrysburg; and 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Croy; and a brother, Bob Croy.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. The Rev. Dan Huther will officiate. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Putnam County Thrift Store, Putnam County Home Health/Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.

Lima
EVELYN HELSER, 94, died at 6:28 a.m. Dec. 29, 2002, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
Arrangements are incomplete at Siferd Funeral Homes, Westwood Chapel.

Lima
STANLEY JACOBS, 91, died at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 29, 2002, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Mr. Jacobs lived at Pilgrim Place and was a member of Lifeline Fellowship.
He has no survivors.
There will be no services or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lifeline Fellowship, c/o Pastor Virgil White, 4956 Fort Shawnee Ave., Lima OH 45806.
Arrangements are by Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
