EARL E. GOOD, 75, of Pineville, La., formerly of Elida, died at 4:15 a.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Elida to Noah and Clara Good, who preceded him in death. He had been married
to Elsie Focht, who survives in Bellefontaine. On July 21, 1970, he married
Joanna Ackerman Contris, who survives.
Mr. Good owned Mid-City Service, Alexandria, La. He was a member of the Pat Robinson 700 Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving two years.
Survivors also include four sons, Carl R. (Debra) Good of Bellefontaine, Edwin L. Good of Lima, William E. (Joella) Good of Galion and Earl Dean (Mary) Good of Spencerville; two daughters, Marcie A. Humphreys of Elida and Robin L. Klapp of Lima; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. Burial will be in Sharon Mennonite cemetery.

Delphos
MARJORIE HARLAN, 60, died the early morning of Aug. 10, 2003.

Lima
JACK JUNIOR JOHNSON, 80, died at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 3, 1923, in Lima to Merle E. and Mable Marie Taylor Johnson, who preceded him in death. On May 5, 1946, he married
Dolly E. Marlatt, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Johnson retired from Lima State Hospital. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
Survivors also include two sons, Jack (Lori) Johnson and Randy Johnson, both of Lima; three daughters, Linda (Tom) Hollenbacher, Nancy (Barry) Flack and Cheryl (Tim) Naylor, all of Lima; two brothers, Norman (June) Johnson of Deltona, Fla., and Nelson (Sharon) Johnson of Lima; a sister, Virginia Dankirt of Lima; 11 grandchildren, Mike (Brenda) Hollenbacher, Michele (Cliff) Boyer, Laura (Gary) Dipnarine, Steve (Cris) Ramsey, Brad Johnson, Rob Johnson, Zachery Johnson, Shane Naylor, Jacab Naylor, Stephanie Johnson and Haylie Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, Hailee Kiene, Clayton Kiene, Ryan Boyer, Sara Dipnarine, Logan Dray, Caleb Johnson, Dalton Johnson and Dylan Johnson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Kenneth and Dewey Johnson; and three sisters, Genevieve Vorhees, Betty Gott and Mamie Kane.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Siferd Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Van Wert
REV. DAVID KUHTENIA, 69, died unexpectedly at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Apostolic Church, Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Church Building Fund or United Pentecostal Church International Russian Literature Fund.

Montezuma
JOHN C. LEWIS, 77, died at 9:05 a.m. Aug. 7, 2003, at his residence.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina, with military rites performed by the post. Burial will be at Dayton National cemetery.

Spencerville
MILDRED V. MCDERMITT, 87, died at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 10, 2003, at Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born April 29, 1916, in Auglaize County to Charles and Gertrude Colvin Howell, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 30, 1940, in Covington, Ky., she married
Freedus A. McDermitt, who survives.
Mrs. McDermitt was a farmer's wife and had worked as a cook at the Auglaize County Home. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church in rural St. Marys and its women's society. She enjoyed oil painting and china painting.
Survivors also include two sons, Charles Roy (Karen) McDermitt of Stockbridge, Ga., and Freedus (Deborah) McDermitt Jr. of St. Marys; four daughters, Ruth Ann (Garry) Schwartz of Spencerville, Mary (Robert) Howell of Wapakoneta, Judy (Richard) Howell of Yorktown, Ind., and Jean McDermitt of St. Marys; a sister, Mary Wilson of Wapakoneta; and 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Lee and Richard Howell.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. Donald Ricard will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.

Lima
MARY ETTA REYNOLDS, 75, died at 1:01 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born July 12, 1928, in Greenwood, Miss., to James and Josephine Washington Wall, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 3, 1949, she married
Harold L. Reynolds, who died July 5, 1995.
Mrs. Reynolds retired as a cashier from Pangle's Master Markets.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth L. (Tommie) Reynolds, Bobby A. (Doneline) Reynolds, Gregory Reynolds and Richard H. (Joyce) Reynolds, all of Lima, and Marcus K. (Tracy) of Toledo; a daughter, Valerie E. (Dennis) Payne of Lima.; three brothers, James (Pat) Wall Jr., Blevin Wall and George Wall Sr., all of Lima; two sisters, Ruth Pitts and Jessica (James) Bratton, both of Lima; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Easter Smith and Queen Esther James; and a granddaughter.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Earnest Stephens Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
McComb
HOWARD C. RINEHART, 84, of rural McComb, died at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 19, 1918, in Blanchard Township, Hancock County, to Howard B. and Mazelle Clapper Rinehart, who preceded him in death. On July 31, 1938, he married
Grace Roy, who survives. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Rinehart was a farmer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Findlay, and was a former Sunday school superintendent at McComb United Methodist Church. He was a 1936 graduate of McComb High School. He served as a Pleasant Township trustee and was on the Hancock County School Board and the Hancock County Soil Conservation Board. He was a former member of the McComb Rotary Club. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts.
Survivors also include two sons, James S. (Karen) Rinehart of Lexington, Ky., and Gary Lee Rinehart of McComb; a brother, Richard Rinehart of McComb; two granddaughters, Connie Rinehart of Pataskala and Debbie Rinehart of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two stepgrandchildren, Steve Hulbert of Hermitage, Tenn., and Kristina Tipton of Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Rinehart.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, with the Rev. Howard Mayne officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union cemetery.
