ARNOLD C. FORD, 89, died at 6:25 p.m. April 9, 2004, at Wapak Manor Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.
He was born March 15, 1915, in Delphos to Don and Florence Shuck Ford, who preceded him in death. He married
Margaret Turner, who died in January 1993.
Mr. Ford retired as a tool and jig expeditor at Warner & Swasey Co. Lima Division. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. He was a 53-year member and a past master of Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 205 in Lima, past commander of Shawnee Commandery 14 Knights Templar, High 12 Club 590, Lima Chapter 49 Royal Arch Masons, Lima Council 20 Royal and Select Masons, Lima Shrine Club, Honorary Sovereign Master Shawnee Council 355 Allied Masonic Degree, past president of the Lima Assembly of Rainbow Girls Board of Directors and was a 32nd degree mason. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Antioch Shrine Temple, Dayton.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty (Phil) McKean of Vancouver, Wash., Cathy (Scott) Willeke of Columbus Grove and Chris (Jerry) Seaman of Wapakoneta; a son, Gregory Ford of Lima; a brother, Don (Dorothy) Ford of Delphos; a sister, Martha McMullen of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Neal Bowen; and a sister, Helen Clinger.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. followed by a Scottish Rite Ring service.

Elida
KERMIT C. MAY, 66, died at 12:03 p.m. April 9, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born July 27, 1937, in Allen County to Gerald Nathaniel and Adda Mae Sawmiller May, who preceded him in death. On May 18, 1963, he married
Ruth Johns, who survives in Elida.
Mr. May retired from Ford Motor Co., Lima, after 38 years, and he was a lifelong farmer. He was a member and trustee of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church. He is a 1955 graduate of Elida High School. He enjoyed being outdoors, and he and his wife enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed gardening and helping others. He was a past member of the Elida Lions Club. He was a member of the Young Elida Farmers and an honorary member of the Elida FFA. He coached Midget football for 15 years. He loved to spend time at and be involved in the Allen County Fair.
Survivors also include eight children, Craig A. (Lora) May of Columbus Grove, Michael D. (Sue) May of Elida, Rebecca L. May of West Palm Beach, Fla., Greg Mason and Sheila Y. Mason, both of LaFollette, Tenn., Randall S. (Kelly) Mason of Elida, Kathryn E. Mason of Tennessee, and Timothy L. (Linda) Mason of Marysville; two brothers, L. Brooks (Jean) May of Delphos and Lyle May of Connecticut; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Christopher Page will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.

WARREN R. FESSLER, 100, died at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15, 2004, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
He was born March 5, 1904, in St. Johns to J. Fred and Livonia M. Taylor Fessler, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 21, 1932, he married
Beatrice I. Kern, who died Feb. 3, 1988.
Mr. Fessler retired as a civil engineer with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Lima. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, and sang in the church choir. He was a member and past president of Kiwanis, Ottawa, and a 60-year member and past Master of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 325, Ottawa. He attended Miami University in Ohio and Ohio Northern University in Ada.
Survivors include a son, Ronald (Carol) Fessler of Ottawa; a daughter, Janice (Daniel) Barber of Ottawa; a brother, Herbert Fessler of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two sisters, Lois Griffin of Philadelphia and Rachel Stern of Lebanon; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ira Fessler; and a granddaughter.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. The Rev. Robert Nida will officiate. Burial will be in Harman cemetery, Gilboa.

LAUREN EDGAR HART, 70, died at 10 a.m. Aug. 13, 2004, at his residence.

ELMER H. SCHROEDER, 79, died at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 14, 2004, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born July 8, 1925, in Leipsic to Julius and Agnes Niese Schroeder, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 30. 1945, he married
Patricia Stechschulte, who survives in Leipsic.
Mr. Schroeder retired from Libby's, Leipsic, in 1987. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society. He was an avid woodworker and loved growing roses.
Survivors also include four sons, Dean R. Schroeder of Leipsic, Allen J. (Joan) Schroeder of Rossford, Gary P. (Patricia) Schroeder of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Philip J. Schroeder of Goodyear, Ariz.; two daughters, Ann M. (James) Russell of Leipsic and Amy E. (Robert) Pettaway of Toledo; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Schroeder; and two sisters, Angeline Odenweller and Jeanette Stechschulte.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. Father George Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m.
