Van Wert
HAROLD D. SHEETS, 60, died at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 13, 2004, at the Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1944, in New Hampshire, Ohio, to Clayton N. and Avis L. Jacques Sheets, who preceded him in death. On June 19, 1966, he married
Josephine Hurley, who survives.
Mr. Sheets worked for the former Continental Can Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He also worked at Wal-Mart in Van Wert.
Survivors also include a son, David A. Sheets of Van Wert; a daughter, Kerry S. Sheets of Van Wert; two sisters, Esther (Robert) Hilton and Ethel Reynolds, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and a grandson, Joshua Joseph Mahon of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel Sheets, who died at birth; two sisters, Judy Sheets and Nancy Hilton; and a grandson, David Allen Sheets Jr.
Services will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.

Mount Victory
PAUL C. SHELLER, 80, died at 6:52 p.m. Nov. 13, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
Services will begin at noon Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastor Karen Rarey will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

St. Marys
HOWARD A. STROH, 80, died at 8:19 p.m. Nov. 13, 2004, at Shawnee Manor.
He was born May 10, 1924, in Wapakoneta to Albert and Nellie Hittepole Stroh, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Stroh was a retired meat inspector and supervisor for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 in St. Marys.
Survivors include a son, Wayne A. (Donna) Stroh of Cridersville; a daughter, Denise (Dennis) Reese of Lima; and three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
His body will be cremated and no public services or visiting hours will be held.
Memorial contributions may be give to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lima
GLORIA J. "GLO" BINKLEY TAYLOR, 72, died at 10:05 a.m. Nov. 12, 2004, at Cridersville Health Care Center.
She was born Dec. 25, 1931, in Lima to Samuel Irving and Ella Mae Reed Binkley, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Scott and Raymond Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and used to manage Elida Laundry. She was a member of American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include a son, George (Sharon) Scott of Beaverdam; a daughter, Cyndy (Tom) McGowan of Fritch, Texas; stepsons Leon Taylor, Mike Taylor, John Taylor, Bruce Taylor, Mark Taylor, Doug Taylor and Bradley Taylor; stepdaughters Chris Judjek, Mary Tolliver and Kathy Taylor; sisters Virginia Finch of Cridersville, Louine Smith of Lima and Janet (Chuck) Winings of Midland, Texas; grandchildren Jennifer (Clete) Reynolds, Karie (Joshua) Mitchell, Anna (Mike) Bowman and Charity (Brad) Dragoo; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Virgil and Harmon Binkley and three sisters, Jolly Maxwell, Betty Byers and Barbara Coolidge.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Larry Ayers will officiate. A private burial will take place.
No public viewing will be observed. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home where the American Legion will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville Health Care, the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Lima
MATTHEW DARNELL BANKS, 41, died at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 9, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born June 21, 1964, in Lima, to William and Mary E. Patton Banks, Jr., who survive in Lima. He was formerly married
to Sheila Liles, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Banks was a department manager at Old Barn Out Back. He was appointed corrections officer with the Lima Police Department in October 1987. In 1992, he was appointed a patrolman with the department and in 1994, received an award for bravery. He stepped down as a patrol officer in April 1998. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors also include three daughters, Shari M. Banks, Michelle N. Banks and Shareese D. Banks, all of Lima; a foster daughter, Shalonda R. Scott of Lima; two brothers, Roger (Sherry) Banks of Bowling Green and Christian E. (Linda) Banks of Turkey, N.C.; and two sisters, Sylvia D. Secession of Columbus and Joel S. (Wendell) McLellan of Jacksonville, Fla.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Lima. The Rev. Edward Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Dayton National cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church.

Gomer
JACOB WESLEY BOWMAN was stillborn at 6:25 p.m. Dec. 8, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Survivors include his parents, Wesley C. and Rachel R. Miller Bowman of Gomer; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Bowman of Gomer; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Eugene Miller of Gomer; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bowman of Elida and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lavy of New Carlisle; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller of Elida and Russell Eller of Camden; and paternal great-great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Lavy of Tipp City, Mr. and Mrs. Aretas Boone of Edensburg, Wash., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Layman of Elida.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Ash Grove cemetery.

JANICE M. BRANDS, 100, died Dec. 10, 2005, at Otterbein, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Rockford.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Leipsic
M. LOUISE DESGRANGE, 83, died at 8:42 a.m. Dec. 10, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Gilboa to Austin and Eva Hickey White, who preceded her in death. On May 15, 1947, she married
Raymond W. Desgrange, who died April 20, 1994.
Mrs. Desgrange was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church, Leipsic. She was an avid gardener who loved quilting, sewing and cooking for her family.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Debra) Desgrange of Cincinnati; three daughters, Fran (Loren) Rosebrook of Deshler, Julie (Robert) Delgado and Christine (Dennis) David, both of Leipsic; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Wilbur White; and three sisters, Magdelene Stout, W. Bernice Brecht and Joanne Kinder.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic. The Rev. George Zornow will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
