JOHN E. COOPER, 41, died at 1:25 a.m. April 20, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
He was born Sept. 13, 1965, in Martin, Ky., to Raburn D. and Rose M. Pierce Cooper, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 15, 1988, he married
Stacey Barbee Cooper, who survives in Jackson Center.
Mr. Cooper was a machinist at Reo Manufacturing, EMI, Sidney Tool & Die, and most recently, Peerless Machining, Sidney. He enjoyed trapshooting, fishing and all mud-related activities, including big trucks and four-wheeling.
Survivors also include a daughter, Alicia (friend Shawn) Cooper, of Jackson Center; two sons, Matthew Cooper, of Jackson Center, and Josh Brooks, of Sidney; five sisters, Anna Rickettes, of Bellefontaine, Susan (Don) Caudill and Dea Ellen Long, both of Louisiana, Kathy (Ray) Boggs, of Columbus, and Rayann (Jesse) Cooper, of Lakeview; two brothers, Dean (Ethel) Cooper, of Wapakoneta, and David Cooper, of Alabama; and 45 nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sanford Funeral Home, Jackson Center. The Rev. Don Garrison will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sidney
THOMAS W. FAULKNER, 100, died at 1:05 a.m. at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
He was born Nov. 15, 1906, in Pemberton to Harry and Stella Stiles Faulkner, who preceded him in death. On. Sept. 4, 1931, he married
Celeste A. Fischbach, who died in August 1967. On July 8, 1989, he married
Mildred J. Stump, who survives in Dayton.
Mr. Faulkner was a purchasing agent for Dunson Supply Co. He retired in 1971 after 25 years of service and he farmed for many years. He was a member of Sidney First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. During that time he sang in the church choir for many years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club and was the supervisor of the Shelby County Soil and Conservation District for 21 years. He was a board member of the Amos Public Library for 20 years and he was a 1924 graduate of Sidney High School. He graduated from Ohio Weslyan University in 1928 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity, Temperance Lodge 73 Free and Accepted Masons, Ancient Accepeted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton 32nd Degree Mason and he sang in the Scottish Rite Valley Choir for 35 years. He was a member of the Sidney Chapter 130 Royal Arch Masons, Sidney Council 20 Royal and Select Masons, Sidney 46 Knights Templar, Antioch Shrine Temple in Dayton, Pleiades Chapter 298 Order of the Eastern Star, Shelby County Shrine Club, past president of the Masonic Temple Association, and the Sidney Gateway High Twelve Club.
Survivors also include a son, Dr. Thomas P. Faulkner, of Lima; three stepchildren; two granddaughters, Karen E. Faulkner and Tracy A. Hagman; and four stepgranddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Faulkner; a sister, Margaret Faulkner; and a daughter-in-law Susan B. Faulkner, who was the coordinator for the gifted and talented of Shelby County School System.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney. The Rev. Barbara Staley will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Sidney.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will begin at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A ring ceremony by the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton will begin after the services Wednesday.
Lima
HELEN L. HUENKE, 85, died at 2:50 p.m. April 21, 2007, at Vancrest Health Care Center.
She was born April 25, 1924, in Youngstown to Harry and Edna Dettman Weldgen, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 6, 1945, she married
Theodore Huenke, who died Dec. 22, 1994.
Mrs. Huenke was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and was retired from the credit department at Sears. She was an avid reader and talented writer. She loved her family and church.
Survivors include eight sons, Gary Steven (Patty) Huenke, of Pensacola, Fla., Ted E. (Karen) Huenke, of Syosset, N.Y., Joseph (Anita) Huenke, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., James (Elaine) Huenke, of Columbus, Robert "Bo" Huenke, of Lima, Roger (Debbie) Huenke, of Providence, R.I., and Daniel (Katie) Huenke and Thomas Huenke, all of Columbus; two daughters, Connie Ritter, of Lima, and Mary Rose (Brian) Sohner, of Hilliard; three sisters, Sister Edna Mae Weldgen, of Milwaukee, Sister Barbara Weldgen, of Boston, and Sister Rose Martin (Alice) Weldgen, of Milwaukee; and 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Weldgen Siefker and JoAnna Weldgen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The Rev. William Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

LEO JIM "PAPPY" ETGEN, 69, of Bean Station, Tenn., formerly of Lima, died at 5:08 p.m. Jan. 3, 2003, at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn.
He was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Fort Jennings to Lewis and Ruth Etgen, who preceded him in death. On June 14, 1958, he married
Glenna Stoner, who survives.
Mr. Etgen farmed for his good friend, Brian Carpenter, in Bean Station, Tenn. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend to all where were close to him.
Survivors also include two sons, Lynn "T.G." (Theresa) Etgen of Mesa, Ariz., and Jim (Stacy) Etgen of Bean Station, Tenn.; three daughters, Kim (Neil) Stone of North Pole, Alaska, Terri (Frank) Gill of Bean Station, Tenn., and Susan (Ben) Deaton of Knoxville, Tenn.; and three brothers, three sisters, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at McNeil-Stubblefield Funeral Home, Mooresburg, Tenn. The Rev. Terry Winstead will officiate. Burial will be in Dalton cemetery.

Delphos
KENNETH W. FISHER, 74, died at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 5, 2003, at VanCrest of Delphos.
He was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Fort Jennings to Ralph G. and Margaret Von Sossan Fisher, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 17, 1949, in Fort Jennings, he married
Dorothy A. Gorman, who survives.
Mr. Fisher retired from I&K Distributors, after 23 years. He had also worked for Standard Oil for 20 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. He was a member of Delphos Optimist Club.
Survivors also include three sons, Joseph C. (Patty) Fisher and Charles E. Fisher, both of Fairfield, and Thomas A. Fisher of Delphos; three daughters, Marilyn R. Fisher, Anne P. (Carl) Maas and Margaret A. (Michael) Hedrick, all of Delphos; two sisters, Rita (Robert) Weber of Delphos and Marianne (William) McNamara of Lima; and 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Fisher; and a sister, Eileen Briggs.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service at 8:45 p.m.

Lima
C. EUGENE "GENE" GRIFFITH, 82, died Jan. 3, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 23, 1920, in Cairo to Joseph T. and Dexa M. May Griffiths, who preceded him in death. On July 15, 1945, he married
Margaret H. "Peg" Grigsby, who survives.
Mr. Griffith had been an employee of the Hoover Cleaner Co., a group leader at Westinghouse Corp. in Lima, and at the Standard Oil of Ohio refinery. He was also a real estate agent for Griffith Realty and was a self-employed homebuilder of several homes in and around Lima. He was a partner with his brother, Francis, in Griffith Rentals. He retired from Eagle Lumber Dealer's Supply Co. in 1982, where he was a sales representative for 30 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was treasurer of the Alumni Committee for his class reunion. He was an honorary 55-year member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and a member of Eagles Aerie 370. He was a 1938 graduate of Lima Central High School. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed keeping up with financial news and investments and national and local politics.
Survivors also include a daughter, Kimberly Anne (Richard) Griffith Smith of Pocatello, Idaho; a son-in-law, William Fung of Lima; a brother, Francis "Frank" Griffiths of Lima; three close nephews, Lloyd Davis of Chattanooga, Tenn., Donald Davis of Dayton and Joseph F. Griffiths of Chicago; and two close nieces, Kaylene Griffiths of Lima and Mary Lou Griffiths of Westerville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Jean Griffith Fung; a brother, Gail Griffith; two sisters, Lois Davis Shenk and Helen Squires.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Jack Chalk will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Run cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
