Columbus Grove
LYMAN V. BASINGER, 87, died at 10 p.m. April 20, 2003, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
He was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Columbus Grove to Clarence and Cora Lora Basinger, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Basinger was a farmer.
Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Basinger and Jay Basinger, both of Columbus Grove.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Aldus Basinger; and two sisters, Mary and Ernestine Basinger.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton Chapel. The Rev. Robert Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Reformed Mennonite cemetery, Bluffton.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lima
ROSA ETHEL VANDEVIER BOWSHER, 100, died at 3:15 p.m. April 19, 2003, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 18, 1902, in Putnam County to Andrew and Minnie B. Salisbury Vandevier, who preceded her in death. She married
Leo Bowsher, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bowsher was a homemaker. She was a very generous and kind person who was always giving something away to those who visited her.
Survivors include a son, William R. Bowsher of Lima; a stepson, Leo Bowsher Jr. of Celina; and a sister, Jean (Donald) Moritz of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick Zimmer; four sisters, Iva Ball, Ruth Kinstle, Dorothy Moser and Lucille Bowsher; and a grandson, Blake Bowsher.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. today at Siferd Funeral Homes, Westwood Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Wilde will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew cemetery, near Cridersville.
Friends may call from noon until time of services today at the funeral home.

Delphos
PHILLIP D. DUDGEON, 18 months, died the morning of April 20, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 25, 2001, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., to Brian and Jennifer Mullen Dudgeon, who survive in Delphos.
Phillip had chubby little cheeks and an ornery grin. He loved to play with his tools.
Survivors also include a brother, Corey Dudgeon at home; paternal grandmother, Linda Hartsock of Delphos; maternal grandparents, Dan and Diana Mullen of Delphos; paternal great-grandparents, Ruth and Don Hartsock of Delphos; maternal great-grandmothers, Wanda VanMeter and Mary Mullen, both of Delphos; four uncles, Aaron (Kim) Mullen, Brad (Kelly) Dudgeon, Kevin (Kathy) Dudgeon and Travis Dudgeon, all of Delphos; and seven cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Phillip Dudgeon; and maternal great-grandfathers, Dale VanMeter and James Mullen.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. The Rev. Dave Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
Lakeview
JOHN E. EARLY Sr., 85, died at 10:55 a.m. April 18, 2003, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born Jan. 23, 1918, in Lima to Samuel and Harriet Miller Early, who preceded him in death. He married
Helen Slagle, who died in 1941. He then married
Edith Miller, who died in 1999. He then married
Mary Chapman, who survives in Lakeview.
Mr. Early retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima, after 30 years, and had owned/operated Early's TV & Repair, Lakeview. He has now gone to the big fishing hole in the sky.
Survivors also include two sons, Donald R. Early of Lakeview and John E. (Carol J.) Early Jr. of Bellefontaine; two daughters, Patricia Yocum of Lewistown and Linda Timms of Lancaster; a daughter-in-law, Ann Early of Robbins, N.C.; and 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, James M. Early; and three sisters.
Memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Van Horn Funeral Home, Lakeview. The body has been cremated.
Toledo
HELEN BERNICE "BEE" KOLTZ GILGENBACH, 76, died April 20, 2003, at Foundation Park Care Center, Toledo.
She was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Toledo to Charles E. and Eva Alberta Donaldson Koltz, who preceded her in death. On June 26, 1954, she married
Gerald W. "Jerry" Gilgenbach, her loving husband, who survives in Toledo.
Mrs. Gilgenbach had worked as a quality controller at Craftmaster, for 29 years, where she had served as union president. She had also worked at Lasalle & Koch Department Stores, Propeller Plant and in the big shell department at Jeep. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 606 Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 52, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1788, Sylvania, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 197. She was her husband's right hand and was often referred to as the social director. She gladly assisted and traveled with her husband to various veterans organizations throughout the United States.
Survivors also include a sister, Mary Koltz of Toledo; several nephews and nieces; and 10 godchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons; a brother, Charles Koltz; and a sister, Alberta Heir.
Services will begin at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Blanchard Brothers Funeral Home, Toledo, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. The Rev. John F. Stites will officiate. Burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a VFW Auxiliary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. and a rosary service at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Uplink Program, which provides calling cards free to our servicemen, or the Ohio VFW Cancer Fund, which assists Ohio families.

Dunkirk
BOBBY RAY NUTT KIDWELL, 47, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Dunkirk and Lima, died April 18, 2003, in Wyandot County.
He was born April 28, 1955, in Lima to Robert and Millie Overmyer Nutt, who survive in Dunkirk. On Dec. 15, 2000, in Lima, he married
De Anna K. Kidwell, who survives.
Mr. Kidwell was co-owner of Concept Catering, Jacksonville, Fla., and also worked as a subcontractor carpenter for Lowe's.
Survivors also include a stepdaughter, Jennifer Kidwell of Norton; two brothers, Steve Nutt and Jeremy (Ashley) Nutt, both of Kenton; two sisters, Deborah Rumple of Kokomo, Ind., and Diane (Craig) Beavers of Temple, Texas; and three stepgrandchildren, Ashley Nicole Kidwell, Stevie Joseph Hudson Jr. and Clifford Eugene Smith Jr., all of Norton.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Nutt.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Lima.

Leipsic
DOROTHY E. KLUMP LEWIS, 86, died at 10:45 a.m. April 20, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Ogden Township, Mich., to Valentine and Anna Iffland Klump, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 12, 1940, she married
Elmer E. Lewis, who died April 6, 2002.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker. She was a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church and a former member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Blissfield, Mich.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Sandy) Lewis; two brothers, Ralph (Ruby) Klump and Gordon (Evelyn) Klump; and three grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Ezra, Lester, Wesley, Theodore, Nelson, Norman and Arthur Klump; and a sister, Mildred Herriman.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Leipsic United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mary Bushong will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
