HELEN M. WARNER, 92, died at 10:25 a.m. Oct. 23, 2005, at the St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen. The Rev. John Tostrick and the Rev. Todd Warner will officiate. Burial will be in the Evangelical Protestant cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Wapakoneta
GAROLD A. WINEMILLER, 95, died at 12:36 a.m. Oct. 23, 2005, at Cridersville Health Care Center, Cridersville.
He was born March 24, 1910, in Wapakoneta to Raymond and Nellie DeCoursey Winemiller, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 30, 1948, he married
Georgia F. Reinhart, who died June 13, 1985.
Mr. Winemiller retired in 1978, from the small motor division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima, after 32 years. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. He was a 1928 graduate of Blume High School, Wapakoneta. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and shooting.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (William) Evans of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Marsha (Bruce) Mortimer of Cridersville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Winemiller of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Finch; and his stepmother, Louella Red Winemiller.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor Tom Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Bluffton
EVAN R. BURKHOLDER, 81, died at 4:50 p.m. Nov. 23, 2005, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
He was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Bluffton to Otis and Rhoda Amstutz Burkholder. On June 24, 1944, he married
Frances I. Hitchcock, who survives.
Mr. Burkholder owned the Imperial Discount Grocery in Bluffton and Lakeview. He was an auctioneer for Producer's Livestock in Wapakoneta, Marysville and Mount Vernon; Lugbill auction in Columbus Grove; Kenton Livestock Market; and for 22 years at the Allen County Fair junior livestock sale. He also owned harness racehorses for more than 50 years. He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora; Rufus Putnam Masonic Lodge 364, Columbus Grove; American Legion Post 516, Columbus Grove; and the U.S. Trotting Association. He was on the speed committee of the Allen County Fair for 15 years. He was a 1942 graduate of Bluffton High School and the College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors also include two daughters, Sondra Braun of Bluffton and Kathy (Larry) Lehman of Pandora; a brother, Allen Burkholder of Columbus Grove; two sisters, Mabel (Ed) Howard of Lima and Barbara Ann (Eugene) Wehrly of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Greg (Deb) Braun, Paul (Lisa) Lehman, David Lehman, Lori (Tim) Traxler, Tina (Kevin) Sandler and Angie (Ed) Morris; and nine great-grandchildren, Heather Batten, Josh Batten, Austin Braun, Tyler Morris, Kaileigh Morris, Zane Traxler, Peyton Traxler, Avery Traxler and Nicholas Sandler.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Sylvan Burkholder.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. The Revs. Jon Dey and David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery, Pandora.

VIOLET LOUISE DAVIS, 86, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Lima, died Nov. 20, 2005, at Porter Hospital, Middlebury, Vt.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

St. Marys
MILDRED M. FREEWALT, 85, died at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 23, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born May 11, 1920, in Waynesfield to Dennis and Blanche Edmondscon Dudgeon, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 18, 1937, in Newport, Ky., she married
Robert L. Freewalt, who died in 1993.
Mrs. Freewalt was a homemaker and dedicated farm wife to her husband Robert. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys, after 30 years as a punch press operator. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church and the Auglaize County Council on Aging. She was a graduate of the former Mendon High School. She was known as a terrific cook and a friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed listening to music, especially country and western, and devoted much time and energy to the lives of her grandchildren.
Surivors include four sons, Ronald L. Freewalt of Fredricksburg, Wayne (Sandy) Freewalt, Gerald "Oscar" Freewalt and Gregory B. (Chris) Freewalt, all of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Chloe Butler of Wapakoneta; and a brother, Donald (Joann) Dudgeon of Mendon.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Freewalt; a sister, Flo Dudgeon; a daughter-in-law, Mary Freewalt; and a brother-in-law, Glen Butler.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys. The Revs. Ed Groff and Mary Kay Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.

Columbus Grove
NOE HERNANDEZ, 54, died at 10:36 a.m. Nov. 23, 2005, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1951, in Luckney, Texas, to Victor G. and Alveza Alafa Hernandez. His father preceded him in death; his mother survives in Tupelo, Miss. On Jan. 29, 1972, he married
Karen Matson, who survives in Columbus Grove.
Mr. Hernandez formerly worked at General Motors, Defiance, and was a former restaurant manager for Hernandez Posada. He was an avid Bengals and OSU fan.
Survivors also include two sons, Noe Lee (Lesley) Hernandez of Leipsic and Eddie Hernandez of Columbus Grove; six grandsons; his mother-in-law, Margaret Matson of Columbus Grove; two brothers, Victor (Sara) Hernandez of Leipsic and Efrains (Lynn) Hernandez of Holgate; three sisters, Filomena (Thom) Gorman of Tupelo, Miss., Diane (David) Randazzo of Guntown, Miss., and Melinda (Eric) Dufford of Baldwyn, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Arthur E. Matson.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic. The Rev. Jose Zamora will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery, Leipsic.

RICHARD J. RIGALI Jr., 56, died at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 22, 2005, at SCCI Hospital, Lima.
He was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Lima to Richard J. Rigali Sr. and Norma Wiemer Rigali. His father survives; his mother preceded him in death. On Oct. 13, 2001, he married
Linda Smith, who survives.
Mr. Rigali worked at St. Rita's Medical Center in the maintenance department. He was a 1967 graduate of Lima Central Catholic. He was a member of American Legion Post 96 and Orioles Nest 173, both of Lima, and the Chained Eagles. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and AMVETS Post 1. He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the Navy from April 1, 1969, to Jan. 30, 1973.
Survivors also include a son, Nicholas Rigali of Lima; a daughter, Emily Rigali of Lima; a stepdaughter, Melissa Rimes of Lima; a stepson, Eric Hanes of Lima; three brothers, Renato "Tony" (Peggy) Rigali, Raymond (Darlene) Rigali and Robert "Rob" (Beth Bickel) Rigali, all of Lima; a sister, Regina (Jesse) Harrod of Lima; and two stepgrandchildren, Travis Rimes Jr. and Kacey Rimes.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Love will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Lima.

CATHIE A. MEIER AHMED, 50, died at 2:05 p.m. Nov. 24, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born July 12, 1955, in Lima to Leroy and Jeanne Mack Meier, and both survive in Lima. She was formerly married
to Javed Ahmed, and he died in June 2004.
Mrs. Ahmed was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She worked for the city of Lima in code enforcement and property maintenance for the past eight years. She was a 1973 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. She was a graduate of Northwestern Business School and earned her associate degree in office administration. She loved her grandchildren, cooking, reading, crafts and shopping on eBay.
Survivors also include a daughter, Annelise "Lise" Hopkins of Cincinnati; two sisters, Karen (Clarence) Neeper of Lima, and Robin (Pete) White of Lima; a grandson, Cameron Hopkins of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Chiara Meier of Cincinnati, four nephews, Mike, Jon, Kurt and Zach; four nieces, Marta, Brittany, Ashley and Katie; and four great-nephews, Jordan, Christian, Ethan and Brayden.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Meier; her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Katherine Mack; and her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Florence Meier.
Service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Yeiser will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery, Lima.
