JOHNNIE JOHNSON, 82, died at 5:10 p.m. April 20, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Rutherford, Ala., to Cleveland Johnson and Ola Jordan, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 12, 1944, he married
Alberta Franklin, who survives.
Mr. Johnson retired as a retinner from Metal Coatings. He was a member of New Life Christian Ministries.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Life Christian Ministries. Elder Edward L. Tibbs will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
St. Marys
G. JOAN KNATZ, 77, died at 12:27 a.m. April 24, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. The Rev. Bill Maki will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery, St. Marys.

Lima
CLEDITH A. McNAMARA Sr., 86, died at 4:30 a.m. April 23, 2006, at Plus Health Care Center.
He was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Lima to Edward and Viola E. Pugh McNamara, who preceded him in death. On April 21, 1941, he married
Ethel L. Stroud, who died June 13, 1976.
Mr. McNamara retired in 1986 as an electrician from Lima Armature Works, after 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with General George S. Patton Jr. at the Battle of the Bulge, in Rhineland and in the Ardennes. He was awarded two purple hearts, the Europe/Africa/Middle East Campaign Ribbon, three battle stars and a Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include a son, Cledith A. (Joetta) McNamara Jr. of Lima; three daughters, Ardenia Dunlap and Kathleen (Randall) Schaefer, both of Lima, and Rebecca (William) Hullenkremer of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, Clyde Alan Dunlap, Lenore Myers, Karen Giambattista, Randall Schaefer Jr., Susan Schaefer, Patricia Nelson and Rachel Hullenkremer; eight great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Ronald and Kenneth McNamara; two sisters, Irene Hoffman and Violet Morris; and a son-in-law, Clyde Dunlap.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel. The Rev. Forest Edward Jarrell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and Lafayette-Jackson Veterans Organization.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Van Wert
REBECCA ANN "BECKY" REICHERT, 53, of Payne, formerly of Van Wert, died at 10:16 p.m. April 23, 2006, at her residence.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Joseph Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Lima
ROBERT LEWIS SAUER, 78, died at 4:10 p.m. April 22, 2006, at his residence, with all his loved ones near.
He was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Lima to Joseph B. and Ruby Hoffman Sauer, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 22, 1945, he married
Louise Reilly, who survives. They were a loving couple for more than 61 years.
Mr. Sauer retired from Sauer Brothers Window Cleaning & Birdaway Pest Control after 40 years. He established the window cleaning business in 1948, Sauer Enterprise Inc. in 1972 and the Pony Keg in 1975. He had owned Deckers Fishing Resort & Cabins, Deckers, Colo. He was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee. He had been a volunteer for the Shawnee Fire Department, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen for nine years and Habitat for Humanity. He had been a Cub Scout leader and coached Little League baseball for several years. He had been a member of the Lima Sertoma Club. He was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 310 and American Legion Post 96. He had served as mayor of Deckers, Colo. He had served in the Merchant Marines. He was an avid traveler, camper, hunter and square dancer. He was a great man to be with.
Survivors also include three sons, Steve Sauer of Worthington and Dirk (Margaret) Sauer and Greg Sauer, both of Lima; two daughters, Sharon (Greg) Zupan and Robin (Dennis) Goodwin, both of Lima; eight grandchildren, Brett Frymyer, Jarrett Gibbs, Eric Schreves, Brandon Sauer, Lyndsey Dally, Zachary Dally, Abbie Sauer and Luke Taschler; seven great-grandchildren, Gage, Collen, Isaac, Sophia, Elias, Naomi and Emma; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Sauer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel O. Sauer; three brothers, Richard, Mervin "Bud" and Lee Sauer; and a sister, Shirley Bishop.
A celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Shawnee United Methodist Church. Dr. Joseph Bishman will officiate. Burial will be private in Shawnee cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice or Shawnee United Methodist Church.

McGuffey
LINDA SPRADLIN, 40, died at 12:15 a.m. April 23, 2006, from injuries suffered in an auto accident south of McGuffey.
She was born July 30, 1965, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Arnold and Mable Shepherd Moore. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Foraker. She married
Jim Spradlin, who preceded her in death. She lived with Joe Gentry for 12 years, and he survives.
Mrs. Spradlin worked on the clean-up crew at Rudolph Foods, Westminster.
Survivors also include two daughters, Jessica Spradlin and Brianna Gentry, both of McGuffey; a brother, Danny Moore of Foraker; a sister, Barb Harpel of McGuffey; and a grandson, Adrian Gross.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Carol and Tonya Moore.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McGuffey Church of Christ. Pastor Scot Caley will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Bluffton
L. MARIE URTON, 94, died at 3:50 p.m. April 23, 2006, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Aug. 9, 1911, in Ada to Ross and Hazel Shuster Baker, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 22, 1984, she married
Jack Urton, who died Aug. 16, 1987.
Mrs. Urton retired as a timekeeper from Corning Glass Works, Albian, Mich. She had also been a caregiver and had worked for 10 years at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima. She was a member of County Line Church of the Brethren, Ada. She was a member of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Auxiliary, Lima.
Survivors include a sister, Mary (Daryl) Leatherbury of Tekonsha, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Katie Baker of Bluffton and Edith Baker of Lima; a stepson, Jeff Parks; three stepdaughters, Judy Owens, Jo Jean Parks and Jennifer Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Jack H. and Richard Baker; and a sister, Annabelle Dunahay.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at County Line Church of the Brethren, Ada. Pastors David Thompson and Thomas Dearth will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette cemetery, Lafayette.

MABLE BOOP, 80, of Chipley, Fla., formerly of Lima, died April 29, 2006, in Panama City, Fla.
She was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Lafayette to Gaylord and Etta Marie Plikerd Bellinger, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Boop was a member of Sunnyhills Baptist Church. She moved to Tampa, Fla., in 1979, and lived the last seven years in Chipley, Fla.
Survivors include a son, Danny (Linda) Boop of Chipley, Fla.; three daughters, Sandra Sue (George) Stebelton and Marcella "Marcy" Fisher, both of Lima, and Gloria J. (Charles L.) Burden of Bourbon, Mo.; a sister, Faye Blosser of Delphos; and 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Chipley, Fla. Deacon Tim Long and Pastor Erik Williams will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Garden of Memories, Tampa, Fla.
