JERRY DARLENE CHRISTMAN, 69, died at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, while in the company of family members at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center's Intensive Care Unit.
Mrs. Christman was born in Findlay on Aug. 6, 1937, to Pascal and Geraldine Parker Brenner, who preceded her in death. She was married
on Dec. 24, 1956, in Angola, Ind., to Robert Christman, who preceded her in death. They enjoyed 44 years together.
She was a member of First United Brethren Church, Findlay. She spent her life loving her husband and raising her children. In her free time she enjoyed dancing with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Kim) Christman of Scottsdale, Ariz., Roger (Cindy) Christman of North Baltimore, Mark Christman of Findlay, and Gregory (Wendy) Christman of Findlay; three sisters, Donna (Maurice) Naus of Fostoria, Sandra (Walt) Altenberger of Lima, and Linda (Ivan) Thomas of Findlay; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at noon Wednesday at Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay. Pastor Darwin Dutton will officiate. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

AVERY WILLIAM CUNNINGHAM, 71/2 weeks, died at 7:16 a.m. Sept. 4, 2006, in the emergency room of St. Rita's Medical Center.

SANDRA J. GRIFFIN, 60, died at 12:33 a.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at Van Wert County Hospital.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

JUDITH ANN HARNER, 65, died at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Lima, to Howard Lyle and Sarah Marie Heinrich Courtney, who preceded her in death. She was married
Dec. 31, 1985, to Elden K. Harner, who died March 8, 2002.
She retired as a licensed practical nurse at Villa at Baton Rouge. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima Auxiliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother, "G-G," sister, friend to many and spiritual guide. She died in the home of her loving daughter whose care and compassion filled her days with love, joy and laughter. She was surrounded by the love of her family, which fulfilled her wish. Her warm and generous spirit, her love of animals and especially her faith in God touched the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her. Our lives are forever changed by her love.
Survivors include three sons, Mike (Robin) Protsman of Fairfield, Calif., Thomas "Tap" (Julie) Protsman of Columbus, and Marc Protsman of Columbus; two daughters, Jeanna (Zaryl Stanford) Protsman of Lima, and Sarah Harner of Columbus; three brothers, Howard (Betty) Courtney of Las Vegas, Jack Courtney of Lima, and Barrie (Mary) Courtney of Lima; six grandchildren, Christy (Dave) Brunner, Jennifer (Anthony) Matricia, Eric Protsman, Andrew Protsman, Erin Protsman and Christopher Protsman; and three great-grandchildren, Caden Brunner, Madeline Brunner, Anthony Matricia.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Protsman.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. John Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Lima.

DONALD R. "DON" HAUSERMAN, 87, died at 1:47 a.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1919, in Mansfield, to Tracy Glen and Clara Louise Them Hauserman, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 20, 1947, he married
Koleta Kepner Hauserman who died Aug. 2, 1954. On Dec. 29, 1955, he married
Carol E. Pankell, who survives.
He worked as an insulator/painter in the maintenance department at The Standard Oil Refinery, retiring Aug. 1, 1983, after 34 years. He was a 63-year member of Fort Amanda Lodge 706 Free & Accepted Masons, a member of Lima Chapter 49 Royal Arch Masons, Lima Council 20 Royal and Select Masons and Shawnee Commandry 14. Mr. Hauserman was a 32nd degree Mason of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He participated for many years with Habitat for Humanity. He loved the Lord and was committed to God's work.
Survivors also include a son, Timothy L. Hauserman of Lima; a daughter, Rebecca Sue (Dan Casey) Hauserman of Pandora; and two grandchildren, Aaron Casey and Adam Casey.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tracy Hauserman and Harvey Hauserman.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel. Pastor Barbara Dafler will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m.

MARY J. DEARTH McCARTNEY, 86, died at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at Richland Manor, Bluffton.
She was born June 12, 1920, in Allen County to Donald Earl and Flossie Marie Miller Reed, who preceded her in death. She was raised from birth by her grandparents, Charles and Lula Johnson, because of the death of her mother. She was married
to Ed Dearth and they were divorced. He preceded her in death. She later married
Robert McCartney, who died in February 1969.
Mrs. McCartney was a homemaker and had previously worked for Tripplett Corp. of Bluffton and also for Allied Rubber Plant in Ada. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald "Ponch" (Linda) Dearth of Ada, Ronald "Pud" Dearth of Ada, and Danny (Yvonne) Dearth of Roosevelt, Utah; a daughter, Ruth Ann (Dennis) Shaw of Lima; a niece, Jill (Henry) Rice of Lima; 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Reed; a sister, Maxine George; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Dearth; and a great-great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Dearth.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor Thomas Dearth will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.

DELORES J. MYERS, 71, of Ottawa and formerly of Leipsic, died at 10:29 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic. The Rev. George Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

JACQUELINE J. "JACKIE" VOLBERT, 78, died at 11:03 a.m. Sept. 2, 2006, at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Lima to Enos and Gladys M. Martin Hickey, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 9, 1946, she married
Robert A. Volbert, who died Jan. 9, 1991.
Mrs. Volbert was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Michael D. (Tanya) Volbert of Lakeview and Ronald V. (Janet) Volbert of Lima; two daughters Karen S. "Susie" (David P.) Slechter and Colleen J. Austin, both of Lima; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a brother-in-law, Charles Gross of Lima.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Richard, Eugene, Clarence, Joseph, Dwight, Ronald and Pete Hickey; and a sister, Kathleen Gross.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel. Pastor J. Randy Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
