ERNEST JUNIOR RHOADES, 85, died at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 4, 2003, at Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Hardin County to Ernie and Elsie Opperman Rhoades, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 3, 1939, he married
Lucille Kruse, who died Nov. 23, 1999.
Mr. Rhoades was in business with J.R. Rhoades Motor sales for 50 years. He also ran H&L Auto Parts in Bellefontaine and Lakeview with his brother, Howard. He was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, James (Beverly) Rhoades of Kenton and Jerry Rhoades of Lakeview; a daughter, Jo Jean Emans of Kenton; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton. The Rev. Dr. Phillip Harner will officiate. Burial will be in Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

KATHRYN ELIZABETH BAUGHMAN, 84, died Oct. 6, 2003.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, Jackson Center. The Rev. Dennis R. King will officiate. Burial will be in Pearl cemetery, Swanders.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Van Horn Funeral Home, Jackson Center, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

H. RICHARD "RICK" BECKNER, 35, died Oct. 6, 2003, at his residence.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Timothy Burden will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.

MAURICE E. "RED" DOWLER, 71, died at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 6, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Van Wert. The Revs. Lance O'Donnell and William Barlow will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery, Convoy.

Delphos
LOUISE FAIR, 79, died at 10:30 a.m. Oct.7, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Bluffton, Ind., to Howard and Lavina Baber Hoover, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 25, 1943, she married
Ivan "Tucker" Fair, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Fair retired from Van Dyne Crotty and had worked at Meyers Cleaners. She was a volunteer at the Inter-faith Thrift Shop. She was a 44-year member of Delphos Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing and sewing.
Survivors also include a son, Kenneth (Sherry) Fair of Delphos; a brother, Mel (Val) Hoover of Marietta; a sister, Katie (Robert) White of Middle Point; and three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ben, Howard and Milton Hoover.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. The Rev. Wayne Prater will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.

DORIS M. HARMON, 91, formerly of Glenmore, died at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 6, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Lee Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ohio City.

JUDY MARIE KINCAID HOMAN, 45, died at 10:54 a.m. Oct. 6, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

Lima
FRANCIS D. LACKEY, 85, died at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 6, 2003, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Lima to Waldo and Low Beatrice Freet Lackey, who preceded him in death. He married
Della Mae Scott, who died March 17, 1977. On Nov. 10, 1978, he married
Phyllis Hageman Brautigam, who survives.
Mr. Lackey retired as an electronic engineer in the Los Angeles area.
Survivors also include two daughters, Sharon Lackey of Sidney and Sue Howell of Henryetta, Okla.; three stepsons, David (Saundra) Brautigam of Anna, Paul (Cyndi) Brautigam of St. Marys and Keith (Cheryl) Brautigam of Bellefontaine; two stepdaughters, Barbara (Ken) Chorba of Findlay and Karen (Steve) Ott of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Wayne Lackey and Howard (Irene) Lackey, both of Lima; a half brother, Raymond (Rosemary) Lackey of Lima; two stepbrothers, Frank (Jean) Winegardner of Lima and Myron Winegardner of Florida; a sister, Edith Yant of Ottawa; and eight grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bluelick cemetery. Gary Lackey and Marti Richardson will officiate.

Delphos
ESTHER B. LAUSE, 85, died the afternoon of Oct. 6, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Van Wert County to Lewis G. and Mary B. Vogt Lause, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 2, 1937, she married
Ralph C. Lause, who died Jan. 1, 1986.
Mrs. Lause was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Delphos, and its Ruth Circle.
Survivors include three sons, James (Darlene) Lause of Ottoville, Lewis (Susan) Lause of Marion and Alan (Debbora) Lause of Belmont, Calif.; a sister, Isabell Cattell of Canton; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene E. and W. Lewis Vogt; and her stepfather, William Henry Vogt.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Delphos. The Rev. Harry Tolhurst will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos.
