GEORGE E. NOLAN Jr., 67, of Cadiz, Ky., formerly of Lima, died at 1:49 a.m. April 12, 2004, at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, Ky.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. today at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ky. The Rev. Kerry Lambert will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. today in Fairmont cemetery, Henderson, Ky., with military rites by American Legion Post 40.

Ada
CORDT F. OTTEN, 48, of Maumee, formerly of Ada, died at 8 p.m. April 12, 2004, at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1955, in Bellefontaine to Donald F. and Mary Triplett Otten. His father preceded him in death. His mother and stepfather, Mary and Louis Kipker, survive in Ada. He had been married
to Jackie Richard, who survives in Branch, La.
Mr. Otten was a material handler at the Ford Motor Co. Maumee Stamping Plant. He was a 1973 graduate of Ada High School.
Survivors also include a daughter, Cordtney Danielle Otten of Branch, La.; a brother, Daniel (Sylvia) Otten of Lima; two sisters, Stephanie (Jerome) Doute of Wapakoneta and Sydney Otten of Vero Beach, Fla.; three stepbrothers, Louis (Pat) Kipker Jr. and Ron (Judy) Kipker, both of Ada, and Eric (Linda) Kipker of Holland, Mich.; three stepsisters, Barbara Calondis of West Carrollton, Patti (Danny) Linck of Peoria, Ariz., and Sondra (Harvey) Stanley of Alger; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. The Rev. Wayne Albertson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

AFFIE L. PITTS, 88, formerly of Alger and Kenton, died at 9:25 p.m. April 12, 2004, at Corinthian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Eugene Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

DON "CURLY" THWAITS, 86, died April 12, 2004, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Donald I. Ramsey will officiate. Burial will be in Swamp College cemetery, Celina.

Lima
DANNY E. DEAL, 55, died at 10:25 a.m. Aug. 17, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 20, 1948, in Lima to Rex E. and Marjorie F. Worrell Deal, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Deal attended Liberty Chapel Church. He attended Marimor and Robin Rogers Cerebral Palsy Crafts Class. He bowled in the Elks Cerebral Palsy League at Westgate Lanes. He was an avid bingo player. Danny's family would like to express their gratitude to Lost Creek Care Center for the loving care they provided him for the past 15 years.
Survivors include three brothers, Thomas Deal and James (Melissa) Deal, both of Wapakoneta, and Greg Meyer of Elida; and five nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Meyer; and a nephew, David A. Deal.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Chapel cemetery, Lafayette.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

McGuffey
SHIRLEY TEMPLE MARSHALL DUNSON, 64, died at 10:17 a.m. Aug. 17, 2004, at her residence.
She was born July 23, 1940, in Kentucky to Thomas and Zora Ann Robinson Marshall, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 1, 1960, in Marion, she married
Gary E. Dunson, who died Oct. 3, 1999.
Mrs. Dunson had worked in the cafeteria at Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant and had been a nurses aide at Loving Care Nursing Home.
Survivors include a son, John (Trina) Dunson of Elida; a daughter, Evelyn (Timothy) Bailey of McGuffey; a son-in-law, Paul Bailey of McGuffey; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Wynona Josphine Morgson of Michigan, Katie Cottle of Kenton, Kathy Risner of Lima and Julie Marshall of Florida; and a brother, Johnie Marshall of Florida.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Zora Ann Bailey; two sons, Gary Eugene Jr. and Ralph Edmond Marshall; three sisters, Melinda Sue Marshall, Betty Frazier and Helen Patton.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.

Bluffton
MARY L. FRICK, 94, died at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 17, 2004, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Sept. 7, 1909, in Allen County to Isaac and Rhoda Snider Mowery, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 4, 1928, she married
George Frick, who died Oct. 26, 1976.
Mrs. Frick was a homemaker. She was a member of Bluffton Presbyterian Church and a former member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Lima. She was a member of the Lima Senior Citizens and the Blue Star Mothers Club. She was a 1928 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School. She was an excellent cook and loved to sew and crochet.
Survivors include two sons, Karl Frick of Davenport, Fla., and George E. (Joan) Frick of New Concord; two daughters, Jean Ann (Dwight) Nichols of Bluffton and Mary Lynn Morscheck; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Frick; two brothers, Jess and Dewey Mowery; and five sisters, Ada Mowery, Ivy Motter, Clarrisa Huwer, Edna Conkle and Irene Long.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. Chaplain William Herr will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Lima.

Cridersville
RAYMOND E. "SLICK" FURR, 77, died at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 15, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in McGuffey to Isaac and Elizabeth Hoover Furr, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 7, 1950, in Kenton, he married
Virginia Plaugher, who survives in Cridersville. They had been married
for 54 years.
Mr. Furr was owner of A1 Plastering Co. and had worked in construction for several area companies, including Campnell, Keiffer Construction and Norm Stewart & Sons. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima. He enjoyed all his grandchildren. He loved baseball, boxing, fishing, gardening, mowing and playing cards. He loved his dog Chip.
Survivors also include four sons, Robert "Rob" (Marlene) Furr of Cridersville, Dan Furr of Lima, Don (Sabrina) Furr of Cridersville and Rick Furr of Lima; a daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Pitts of Lima; two brothers, Walter (Sylvia) Furr of Kenton and Jack (Carol) Furr of Lima; a sister, Ada Chiles of Lima; and 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Marcus Furr; and six brothers, Sherman, James, Roy, Charles, Franklin and Homer Furr.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Daniel H. Messner will officiate. Burial will be in Preston cemetery, Alger.
