DOROTHY L. "DOTTIE" COOVER, 84, died at 5:55 p.m. Jan. 9, 2005, at Wyngate Senior Living Community.
She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Amanda Township to Paul C. and Helen J. Roberts Early, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 25, 1936, she married
Homer L. Coover, who died Oct. 8, 2001.
Mrs. Coover was a homemaker. She had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1956. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes.
Survivors include a son, Robert D. (Bonnie) Coover, Ph.D., of Delaware, Ohio; a daughter, Susan J. (Ron Kohlrieser) Kuzel-Rogge of Cridersville; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Grady.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Richard Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lewis Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Delphos
VIRGINIA M. FOUST, 80, died at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 10, 2005, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Delphos.
She was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Continental to Edward and Nina Elliot Morris, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 21, 1944, she married
Robert Foust, who survives.
Mrs. Foust was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Delphos. She had been a member and had served as president of the Ohio Child Conservation League. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and photography. She was very active with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Barbara) Foust Jr. of Findlay; a daughter, Maxine (Greg) Brooks of Spencerville; two sisters, Ruth Kaskel and Nancy (Skip) Will, both of Delphos; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Vasquez.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before services at the funeral home.

Lima
DONALD W. GORDON, 83, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Lima, died Dec. 24, 2004, in Peoria, Ariz.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1921, in Continental to Rollie B. and Myrtle Spangler Gordon, who preceded him in death. His wife, Aileen Gordon, survives.
Mr. Gordon had worked at Ex-Cell-O Corp. for 25 years. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Franklin) Santagate of Peoria, Ariz., and Jane (Thomas) Denver of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; two sisters, Shirley (Melvin) Schroeder of Wapakoneta and Doris (Richard) Sanderson of Plainwell, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Gordon.
Graveside services were held Dec. 30, 2004, in National Memorial cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, with military rites.

Spencerville
ALEXIS MARY HALE was stillborn at 10:47 a.m., Jan. 7, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Her mother, Charlene Hale, survives in Spencerville.
Survivors also include her mother's companion, Brian Armstead of Spencerville; a sister, Jalyn Picklesimer at home; a brother, Drew Armstead at home; maternal grandparents, Paula and Bob Hale of Spencerville; maternal great-grandfather, Forest Hale of Lima; three aunts, Tracy Custer and Betty Hale, both of Spencerville, and Bobbie Ramirez of Lima; and an uncle Jason Hale of Lima.
She was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Paul E. and Betty Custer and Charlene Hale.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Siferd Funeral Homes, Westwood Chapel. Burial will be in Cairo West cemetery, Cairo.

Wapakoneta
REUBEN E. HIBNER, 84, died the morning of Jan. 9, 2005, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Clay Township, Auglaize County to Frank and Flora Walti Hibner, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 4, 1942, he married
Almeda D. Fisher, who survives.
Mr. Hibner was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta, where he had served on the church council, had been a Sunday school teacher and a youth fellowship leader. He was a member of Gideon's International and was instrumental in starting a ministry at the Auglaize County Jail. He had served on the Auglaize County Fair Board for more than 20 years and had served on the steering committee for the new Auglaize County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of the Holstein Association and the Dairy Service Association. He had attended Blume High School.
Survivors also include three sons, Dale F. (Joyce) Hibner of West Jefferson, James F. Hibner of Rockbridge and David L. (Chris) Hibner of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Doris J. Hibner of New York City and Janice K. (Richard) Valentine of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Eric (Amber) Hibner, Adrienne Valentine, Amanda Valentine, Kelly (Donnie) Kalb, Emily (Jon) Sharp and Todd Hibner; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Gabriel and Aaron Micah Hibner; and two sisters, Esther Graham of San Bernardino, Calif., and Mabel Beech of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a son, Reuben Paul Hibner; a brother, Richard Hibner; and three sisters, Cora Helmlinger, Goldie Hughes and Joan Norum.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta. Dr. Alex Gondola and Pastor Elaine Mikesell will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Wapakoneta.

WILLIAM L. "BILL" HIGHLAND, 60, died at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 11, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

Lima
EUNICE M. ROSEMEIER, 76, died at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 10, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Ada to C. Robert and Agnes Laura Walter Spencer, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 9, 1952, she married
Louis C. Rosemeier, who died Oct. 16, 1984.
Mrs. Rosemeier retired in November 1991 from The Farmers Table, Spencerville, and had been a laborer for R.G. Dunn Cigar Factory for 30 years.
Survivors include a brother, James (Virginia) Spencer of Lima; and two sisters, Betty Borges of Lima and Delma Newland of Parkersburg, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Marion, Charles and Virgil Spencer; and a sister, Shirley Grant.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Wapakoneta
THE REV. LEONARD A. SPACHT, 88, died at 11:04 p.m. Jan. 10, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Hancock County to the Rev. Mark B. and Hulda Bame Spacht, who preceded him in death. On March 9, 1938, he married
Jennie Florence Bowersock, who survives in Wapakoneta.
The Rev. Spacht had been a minister for West Newton Baptist Church, West Newton; Hartford Christian Church, Spencerville; Garden City Christian Union Church, Lima; Vaughnsville Christian Union Church, Vaughnsville; and several others in the local area. He attended Bethlehem Christian Union Church. He and his wife enjoyed a tremendous visitation ministry and he spoke at several revivals.
Survivors also include three children, Maurice Lee Spacht of Phoenix, Nancy Lou Tompkins of Green Valley, Ariz., and Randall Mark (Linda) Spacht of Whiteland, Ind.; a brother, Wesley (Ilene) Spacht of Defiance; and nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Kimble and Eunice Lamb.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Christian Union Church, near Buckland. Pastor Jeff Phail will officiate. Burial will be in Buckland cemetery.
