ANDREA L. "ANDI" SMITH, 60, died at 4:05 p.m. April 25, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Lima to Kenneth D. and Imogene A. Worrell Jerew. Her father preceded her in death. Her mothers survives. On Feb. 19, 1977, she married
John W. Smith, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Smith retired from OSU-Lima. She had also worked as an assistant personnel director at First Federal Bank and as a legal secretary for Joe DePore. She enjoyed boating on Lake Erie. She also enjoyed and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes - Go Bucks!
Survivors also include two stepsons, John "Duke" (Cass) Smith and Shaun (Janna) Smith, both of Cincinnati; a sister, Kathleen A. Jerew of Lima; a brother, Craig A. Jerew of Lima; a grandson, William Smith of Cincinnati; two nieces, Danielle N. (David) Langan and Ashley Jerew; and a great-nephew and two great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alyse J. Jerew.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Ferrell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Bluffton
HARVEY K. ANDERSON Sr., 52, died at 7:55 p.m. May 1, 2006, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. The Rev. Keith DuVernay will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mendon
MAURICE "MIKE" BAUER, 90, died at 8:45 a.m. May 2, 2006, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born March 14, 1916, in Auglaize County to Henry and Sara Bowersock Bauer, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 10, 1940, he married
Violet L. Wilkins, who survives.
Mr. Bauer had been a farmer and had retired from National Seal Co., Van Wert, after 26 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed traveling following his retirement.
Survivors also include four children, Loretta (Jerry) Stanley of Rockford, LaDonna (John) Williams of Springfield, Harold (Monna Lu) Bauer of Lexington, Ky., and Gerald (Kathleen) Bauer of Celina; seven grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; four stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Wolford of Bellefontaine.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Bristol and Mary Core; and a brother, Carl Bauer.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. Ronald L. Shifley will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville cemetery.

TERESA R. COTRELL, 76, died at 8:10 p.m. May 1, 2006, at her residence.
She was born March 31, 1930, in Lima to Edward and Therisa Brockert Brown, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 13, 1955, she married
the Rev. Richard A. Cotrell Sr., who survives.
Mrs. Cotrell was a homemaker. She was a member of Miracle Temple.
Survivors also include four sons, Gilbert E. Cotrell, Thomas E. (Carolsue) Cotrell, Richard A. (Tammy) Cotrell and Bruce A. Cotrell, all of Lima; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence, Bernard, Edward, Leonard and Donald Brown; and four sisters, Agnes Hughes, Mary Thompson, Alice Thompson and Helen Morris.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Miracle Temple. The Rev. Ernest Cotrell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

WILMA R. COX, 93, died at 10:35 p.m. May 1, 2006, at Convoy Care Center.

MADALINE ESTELLE SMITH GRIFFITH, 86, died at 8:03 p.m. May 1, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Weston, W.Va., to Bert and Nellie Bussie Smith, who preceded her in death. On June 27, 1936, in Logan, she married
Charles Melvin Griffith, who died June 10, 1989.
Mrs. Griffith was a homemaker. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and was secretary of the league for 25 years. She was the Big Buck's "Cookie Lady."
Survivors include five children, Charles M. (Maria) Griffith of Lima, Daniel L. (Linda) Griffith of Sidney, Beverly A. (Hugh) Gault of Asheville, N.C., Gregory A. (Sharon) Griffith of Lima and Margie L. (Ronald) Rutledge of Wapakoneta; 15 grandchildren, Maria, Charles, Brenda, Susan, Nancy, Julie, Amy, Daniel, Marc, Todd, Ryan, Christopher, Brandon, Megan and Amber; 15 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cory, Sydney, Ty, Ben, Alex, Sydney, Alexandria, Samantha, Corbin, Aaron, Hannah, Megan, Vada and Tyler; and three siblings, Jean Smith Carnes of Chula Vista, Calif., Archie Smith of Denver and Max Smith of Tomball, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Griffith; two sons, Donald Roy and Rodney Bernard Griffith; two sisters, her twin Mildred Smith Hendrix and Ernestine Smith Griffith; and two brothers, Bert and Glen Smith.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Siferd Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery Mausoleum.

Glandorf
FRANCIS H. "SHORTY" HANNEMAN, 84, died peacefully at noon May 1, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Glandorf to Frank and Clara Birkemeier Hanneman, who preceded him in death. On June 27, 1950, he married
Mary Ann Gerten, who survives in Glandorf.
Mr. Hanneman was a lifelong farmer and had worked at Buckeye Sugars, Ottawa, and as a carpenter. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, and its Men's Society. He was a member of the Kalida Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2234, Ottawa. He was a life member of the Farmer's Union.
Survivors also include three sons, Jerry (Mary) Hanneman of Glandorf, Larry (Linda) Hanneman of Norwalk and Dan (Pat) Hanneman of Glandorf; two daughters, Mary Ellen (Dan) Klear of Glandorf and Doris (Jay) Schroeder of Ottawa; 18 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Tom Hanneman and Bob (Jane) Hanneman, both of Glandorf; and two sisters, Mary (Neil) Balbaugh of Miller City and Norie (Bill) Schnipke of Kalida.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sylvester, Ignatius and Joe Hanneman; and two sisters, Rita Gerten and Agnes Hoehn.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Father Harold Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a K. of C. and Men's Society rosary service will be held at 7 p.m.

FREDA E. MARTIN, 80, died at 8:43 p.m. May 1, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 30, 1926, in Kalida to Joseph and Angelina Schamber Geckle, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 29, 1952, at St. John Lutheran Church, Fort Jennings, she married
Noble L. Martin Jr., who died March 7, 1989.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. She loved to play cards and enjoyed gardening. She was loved by everyone. She really loved her family.
Survivors include three sons, Noble L. (Mary) Martin III of DeMossville, Ky., Marty J. (Cindy) Martin of Crawford, Neb., and Morris J. (Doreen) Martin of Lima; three daughters, Ann M. (Michael) Nalley and Janet R. (Michael) Meeker, both of Lima, and Pamela (Rick) Snyder of Florida; two brothers, Robert Geckle of Indian Lake and Glen Geckle of Melbourne, Fla.; a sister, Lucille (Dwight) Hauenstein of Indian Lake; three sisters-in-law, Gert Geckle of Elida, Ann Geckle of Leipsic and Virginia Lewis of Florence, Ky.; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by twin sons, David W. and Daniel G. Martin; four brothers, Lavern, Ray, Albert and William Geckle; three sisters, Lavon Allemeir, Helen Odenweller and Ella Geckle; and a stepdaughter, Elaine Bowers.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Preacher Mike Flynn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew cemetery, near Cridersville.
