LETART FALLS -- Florence Mae Adams, 85, of Letart Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at her residence.
Born Sept. 7, 1917. in Letart Falls, she was daughter of the late Samuel and Arminta Pounds Norris. She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis O'Brien.
Funeral services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine. Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
William Graham
Died: Saturday, January 18, 2003
Age: 67
WAYNE -- William "Bill" Graham, 67, of Wayne, died Saturday evening, Jan. 18, 2003, at Wood County Nursing Home, Bowling Green.
Born Oct. 24, 1935, in Athens, he was the son of the lateOrland Ray and Mildred Nellie Rife Graham. He is survived by six sons, William Edward Graham of Wayne, Kenneth Ray Graham and Thomas Alan Graham of Bradner, Bruce Gene Graham of Wellston, Todd Daniel Graham and Steven Earl Graham of Fostoria; a daughter, Nancy Sharon Carpenter of Wellston; a brother, Frank Graham of Wayne; two sisters, Mildred Garber of Bradner and Lola Wilson of Custar; two half brothers, John Junior Hatcher of Mermill and Marvin H. Rife of Tontogany; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Graham.
Mr. Graham was a retired professional driver for Steven's Van Lines in Sylvania for more than 40 years. He was a member of Albert Bowe American Legion Post 338 of Bradner.
Services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Barndt Funeral Home, 121 W. South St., Wayne. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation or Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Bowling Green.
Brian Dale Hayes

MIDDLEPORT -- Brian Dale Hayes, 36, Middleport, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Middleport.
Born Feb. 3, 1966, in Pomeroy, he was son of William Keith Hayes of Rutland and Nancy Jeffers Hurlow of Clifton, W.Va.
There will be private services for the family, with burial in Zerkle Cemetery in Hartford, W.Va.

Paul H. Levering
Died: Saturday, January 18, 2003
Age: 78
NELSONVILLE -- Paul H. Levering, 78, of Winter Haven, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Grace Health Care, Lakeland, Fla.
Born March 30, 1924, in Nelsonville, he served in the Army for 22 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3467 of Nelsonville and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Jean, and a stepson, John Hallett.
He is survived by his wife, Freda of Winter Haven; sons Paul (Faith) of Charlotte, N.C., William (Pam) of Nelsonville, James (Kelly) of Fort Meade, Md., and Andrew (Nicia) of Charlotte; daughters Nora Coakley of Nelsonville, Marsha (Gary) Beam of Logan and Sandra (Dexter) Presley; stepdaughters Joan Johnson of Columbus, Judith Whitmore of Nelsonville and Candice Jackson (John Hallett) of Haines City, Fla.; a brother, Reginald; a sister, Donna Giffin of Nelsonville; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, 11 a.m., at Nelsonville Church of the Epiphany, 193 Jefferson St. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.
Friends may call at the church on Sunday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Epiphany.
Lela Pearl McAllister
Died: Saturday, January 18, 2003
Age: 97
THE PLAINS -- Lela Pearl McAllister, 97, a lifetime resident of The Plains, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003. She was surrounded by her family caregivers at Overbrook Center, 333 Page St., Middleport, where she resided for the past 13 years. She was the daughter of Jesse and Luella Potts Coon.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Patricia (Howard) McLaughlin; a son, John (Sandy) Shrieves; a stepbrother, Jesse Coon Jr.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert O. Shrieves; her second husband, John W. McAllister; a daughter, Fauna K. Moore; two sons, Hubert I. and Richard D. Shrieves; a son-in-law, Robert Moore; and a daughter-in-law, Jo Shrieves.
She retired from Athens City Schools, where she is well remembered for her cooking skills. She also enjoyed and participated in Senior Citizens, volunteering at the nursing homes and churches. She attended New Life Assembly of God in Athens. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, ceramics, baking, cooking, crocheting, study of the Bible, reading and listening to gospel music.
She will long be remembered at Overbrook Center for her sense of humor. She was a devoted Christian mother and housewife, grandmother, friend and role model. She will always live in our hearts. Looking forward to meeting her in Heaven.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Philip Foster officiating. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

RACINE -- Wilda W. Scarberry Snyder, 76, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Racine, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Wintersong Place Nursing Home in Delaware.
Born Aug. 18, 1925, in Coolville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Twila Pullins Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Snyder; a daughter, Barbara Fisher; and two sons, Neil and Robert Cowdery.
Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Cremeens Funeral Home in Racine. Burial will be in Plants Cemetery, Letart Twp., Meigs County.

Roger Snyder
Died: Monday, February 4, 2002
CHESHIRE -- Roger Snyder, 54, of Cheshire, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Born Jan. 7, 1948, in Hobson, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Janet Mason Snyder.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jean Rupe Snyder of Cheshire; daughters Lisa Durst and Debra Edwards; and a son, Roger Snyder.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Joyce Stanley
Died: Monday, February 4, 2002
NELSONVILLE -- Joyce Ann Stanley, 57, of Nelsonville, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at her residence.
She was born in Logan on Oct. 7, 1945, daughter of Zelda Smith-Clark of Columbus and the late Kenneth Smith Sr.
A homemaker, she was a member of Windows of Heaven Church of Nelsonville.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Rhonda Smith of Nelsonville, with whom she made her home; sons Charles (Sheila) Stanley of Columbus, Lee (Gerry) Stanley of Nelsonville, and James (Shelley) Stanley of Nelsonville; a daughter, Cathy Stanley of The Plains; many grandchildren, aunts and uncles; brothers Lloyd Loring of Logan and John (Debbie) Smith of Nelsonville; and special friends Ann Hiles of Chauncey, James Ronk of Alabama, and Don and Dee Miller of Guysville.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles E. Stanley, who passed away on Dec. 3, 2000; a brother, Paul Artis Smith; a sister, Bobbie K. Black; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Henry; and grandparents Raymond and Freda Smith.
