Donna Chambers
Died: Wednesday, March 6, 2002
McARTHUR -- Donna Mae Chambers, 70, of Westerville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
Born July 24, 1931, in Vinton County, she was the daughter of the late Alva Reeves and Della Mae Payne McKibben. She was a member of Westerville Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by children Merrill Molihan of Florida, John R. (Ruth) Molihan of Mount Vernon, Lanny Molihan, Ginger Molihan and Connie (Tom) Bainum, all of Westerville; and brothers Jerry (Jo) Reeves of Zaleski and Fred Reeves of Arkansas.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Chambers; a daughter, Mary Lou Chambers; a sister, Eleanor McKibben; and brothers Bill, Herald and Gerald Reeves.
Services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., at Garrett Funeral Home in McArthur, with the Rev. Ferrell Rood officiating. Burial will be in Madison Freewill Baptist Church.

Brenda Courtney
Died: Tuesday, March 5, 2002
GLOUSTER -- Brenda Courtney, 41, of Glouster, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Morgan County Care Center in McConnelsville.
Born April 19, 1960, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Betty May Bowersock Sanchez of St. Joe, Calif., and the late Leroy Courtney.
Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home in Glouster, with John Wright officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Eugene Dilcher
Died: Tuesday, March 5, 2002
ALBANY -- Eugene Dilcher, 85, of Rossetter Road, Albany, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens.
Born Sept. 20, 1916, in Pageville, he was the son of the late Earl and Emma Reeves Dilcher. He was a retired nursing supervisor for Athens Mental Health Center, an Army veteran of World War II, a life member of Albany VFW Post 9893 and attended Black Oak Church in Vales Mill.
He is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Anderson of The Plains; a grandson, Master Sgt. Kevin (Suzanne) Dean of Yorktown, Va.; a granddaughter, Kim Zaksek of Grove City; four great-grandchildren, Ron and James Dean of Yorktown, and Karen and Kristen Riley of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Counts Dilcher in 1997; a daughter, Annette Dilcher, in 1956; a granddaughter, Kelly Riley, in 1993; a son-in-law, Jerry Anderson in 1994; a grandson-in-law, Max Zaksek, in 2001; a sister, Jessie Reeves; brothers Lawrence and Clyde; and an infant brother.
Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home in Albany, with the Rev. Marvin Markin officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery, with military graveside services performed by Albany VFW Post 9893.

GALLIPOLIS -- Chelsae Sue Ervin, three-month-old daughter of Ryan and Jennifer Jerzak Ervin of 700 East 15th St., Wellston, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002. She was born Nov. 18, 2001, in Gallipolis.
Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at J.P. Rogers Funeral Home in Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Carlie Glenn
Died: Tuesday, March 5, 2002
NELSONVILLE -- Carlie M. Glenn, 87, of Nelsonville, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains.
Born Jan. 28, 1915, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Libby Griffith Kelley. She was the widow of Paul Glenn. She was a member of Nelsonville First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Hugh and Griffith Kelley; and four sisters, Louise Ellis, Vandella Balas, Marjorie Adkins and Sue Marquis.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home in Nelsonville.

Dorothy Nutter

LOGAN -- Dorothy L. Nutter, 84, of Logan, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at her residence.
Born Sept. 7, 1917, in Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Esther Riffle Milgate.
She is survived by daughters Sandra Starner and Lona Graham.
Services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Billy Schonborn
Died: Monday, March 4, 2002
ATHENS -- Billy L. Schonborn, 67, of Athens, died Monday evening, March 4, 2002, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains.
Born April 6, 1934, in Hollister, he was the son of the late Ernest and Goldie Williams Schonborn. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was retired from the Athens County Sheriff's Department, with 15 years of service. He was a member and past commander of Athens VFW Post 3477, a life member of Chauncey AMVETS Post 53, and a member of Athens DAV Post 37, Athens American Legion Post 21, Redmen Mohawk Tribe 174, New Carlisle Masonic Lodge and Athens Shrine Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana Malone of Crestview, Fla.; a son, Darrell Schonborn of Nelsonville; five grandchildren, Nicole, D.J., Curtis, Crystal and Courtney; a great-grandson, Jayden; a sister, Elizabeth Faust of Fostoria; two brothers, Ernest Schonborn Jr. of Hollister and Herbert Schonborn of New Lexington.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Millie; a son-in-law, Robert Malone; a sister, Marie Schonborn; and two brothers, Henry and Guy Schonborn.
Services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens, with the Rev. David Roach officiating. Military services will be conducted at the funeral home by the American Legion and Athens VFW.
Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, in Enon, on Saturday at 2 p.m., where personnel from Wright Patterson Air Force Base will conduct military rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m., where Masonic services will be conducted at 7 by the Trimble Lodge.
Alice Waite

CHESTERHILL -- Alice Faye Perry Waite, 69, of Stockport, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Born March 16, 1932, in Stockport, she was the daughter of the late Rolla and Bessie Zumbro Perry.
She is survived by her husband, William Waite; four sons, Billy, Sam, Joe and Steve Waite; and a daughter, Sharon Hinton.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

LOGAN - James L. Taulbee Sr., 80, of Logan, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Logan.
Born April 29, 2003, in Jeff, Ky., he was the son of the late James Thomas and Paulina Burchman Taulbee.
He is survived by his wife, Mae E. Beougher Taulbee; a daughter, Janice Taulbee; sons, James Sr., Robert, Mark and Sam Taulbee.
Services will be held Sunday, 11 a.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Fairview Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Veterans Organizations of Hocking County.

Elizabeth Matheny

Age: 97
NELSONVILLE - Elizabeth Matheny, 97, of Nelsonville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center of Nelsonville.
Born Nov. 10, 1906, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret Kanty Stedem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Matheny.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Ed (Beverly) Matheny of Buchtel; a grandson, Rob (Missy) Matheny of Glouster; and four great-grandchildren, Angel and Christian Matheny of Phoenix, Ariz., Kristen and Andrew Boysen of Woodstock, Ga.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral liturgy with mass will be held today, noon, at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Buchtel, with Fr. John Mucha officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call at the church today, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
