Jenette Evelive Morrison

ATHENS -- Jenette Evelive Morrison, 96, went to heaven Friday, May 23, 2003, at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Athens.
She was born Dec. 13, 1906, in Coalton, the daughter of the late Frank and Belle Norman. She was the widow of Leo Morrison Sr., whom she married in March of 1924.
Jenette was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
She was a member of Redtown United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Ohio University as a pastry cook.
She is survived by one daughter, Lola June Hibbard of Athens; one son, Leo Morrison Jr. of Trimble; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her family at Kimes.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Pearl Morrison; two daughters, Jean Landon and Tresa Burris; nine brothers and sisters, a great-grandson and a step-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster, with the Rev. Mark Dupler officiating.

Stephen R. Pullen

GALLIPOLIS -- Stephen R. Pullen, 54, of Mason, W.Va., died at his residence Friday, May 23, 2003.
Born March 5, 1949, in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late James Pullen and Beth Arnold Pullen-Cowan.
He is survived by his spouse, Rita Nicewander Pullen; and two daughters, Amber Pullen of Mason,, and Heather Pullen of Florida.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tyler Wayne Willis

Age: 6
RACINE -- Tyler Wayne Willis, 6, of Racine, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy William Willis of Syracuse and Debbie Dowell Willis of Pomeroy.
Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Paul Eugene LaFollette Jr.
Died: Thursday, May 22, 2003

NELSONVILLE -- Paul Eugene LaFollette Jr., 52, of Columbus, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at his residence.
He was head cashier for the Franklin County Treasurer's Office. He attended Christian Assembly Church and played in its band, and was a member of the Columbus Concert Band and ODOT Band. He was an accomplished ham radio operator, and a graduate of Franklin University.
Mr. LaFollette was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. LaFollette Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy M. LaFollette of Gahanna; a sister and brother-in-law, Annette M. and Thomas L. Bentley of Nelsonville; nieces and nephew, Michelle and Jason Andrews and Christopher Schultz, all of Nelsonville, and Jeromy Schultz of Grove City, Pa.; and great-nephews Isaiah, Isaac and Noah.
Friends may call Monday, 4-7 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Pastor David Juve officiating.
Interment will be Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.
Clyde James

HAYDENVILLE -- Clyde "Jesse" James, 56, of Haydenville, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville.
Born Aug. 6, 1946, in Logan, he was the son of the late Theodore and Marguerite Thompson James. He is survived by his girlfriend, Sandy Miller of Hayden.
Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Frankie W. Sackett

Age: 91
NELSONVILLE -- Frankie W. Sackett, 91, of Nelsonville, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Logan Health Care Center.
Born Nov. 14, 1911, in Greenup, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Luella Ward Wardcq. She was the co-owner of Kutt Kurl Beauty Salon.
She is survived by sisters Eula Horvath and Roberta (Paul) Daugherty of Nelsonville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Beverly Brooker of Carbon Hill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Sackett, and by seven brothers and a sister.
Services will be today, 1 p.m., at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Gary Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.

Stephen Efaw

ATHENS -- Stephen "Speedo" Efaw, 50, of Athens, died early Thursday morning, May 22, 2003, at his residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1953, in Athens, he was the son of Francis "Cocky/Whitey" and Lotus "Lodie" Elkins Efaw of Athens. He was a 1972 graduate of Athens High School, a former owner and operator of Lake Hope Asphalt, and was the caretaker of Hocking Valley Sportsman Association farm club. He was a member of Constitution Lodge 426 New Marshfield Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio and Sons of Athens AMVETS, and a honorary member of The Plains VFW Post 7174.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a special friend, Trinny Williams of Athens; a sister, Peggy (Donald) Everetts of Nelsonville; a brother, Richard (Betsy) Efaw of The Plains; nieces Amy Gunn of Canal Winchester, Laura Jackson of Hide-Away Hills, Wendy Gambill of Logan and Erin Ryan of Athens; a great-nephew and great-niece, Mike and Emily Gunn of Canal Winchester; and a special friend, Ozzie Polrich of Athens.
Services will be held Sunday, 1 p.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where Constitution Lodge will hold Masonic services at 7.

Dorotha Gale Mulpas

Age: 79
GLOUSTER -- Dorotha Gale Mulpas, 79, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at her home in Centerburg.
Born April 16, 1924, in Glouster, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Anna Reick Mohring. She was a longtime loving wife and mother, and a member of Sunbury Christian Church where she played the organ and piano. She loved her Lord and family, enjoyed farming, gardening and outdoor activities.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Wilford Jr. "Bill" and Janet, Craig and Darlene, and Doug and Beth, all of Centerburg, and Ken and Carolyn of Lancaster; nine grandchildren, Theresa Fodor, Lori Midkiff, Pam Ray, and Joe, John, Chris, Jeff, Shane and Grace Mulpas; six great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Wilford R. Mulpas Sr., on April 10, 2003; sisters Martha Brown, Lucy Landis and Grace Hayhurst; and brothers Bill, Henry and Floyd Mohring.
Services will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Sunbury Christian Church. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus.

Betty Jean Baronick

POMEROY -- Betty Jean Baronick, 79, of Pomeroy, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
Born July 12, 1923, in Chelyan, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Wheeler and Violet Withrow Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Baronick.
A memorial service will be Sunday, 3 p.m., at Fisher Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Her ashes will be buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pomeroy.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to the service.
