Age: 93
NEW MARSHFIELD -- Reba A. Withers, 93, of New Marshfield, died Friday evening, May 30, 2003, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.
Daughter of the late Oscar E. and Gertrude M. Linton Andrews, she was born Jan. 8, 1910, at Hocking in Waterloo Twp.
A lifelong resident of New Marshfield, she was a 1928 graduate of New Marshfield High School and was recently recognized by the Alumni Association for her service to the association, PTA, 4-H and the New Marshfield community. Mrs. Withers was a member of the New Marshfield Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 346 and Rebekkah Lodge. She retired from Ohio University Food Service, having worked at Jefferson Dining Hall.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Fauna and Billy Neal of Nelsonville, Peggy and Jerry Jagers of Athens, Carolyn and Boyd "Bud" Bobo of Athens and Linda and Jude Hedrick of Heath; a son-in-law, Russell Flint of New Albany, Ind.; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Brooks of New Marshfield and JoAnn Pulfer of Athens; three sisters-in-law, Alice Andrews, Nora Andrews and Eileen Withers; a special cousin, Adrienne "Peg" Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bernard J. Withers, in 1990; a daughter, Nancy Flint; sisters Cathern Collins, Lena Lightfritz, Beuhlah Herwick and Nell Gilham; and brothers Denver, James and Robert Andrews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home by Pastor David Cogar, with burial in New Marshfield cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Clella E. Stephens
Died: Friday, May 30, 2003
Age: 87
ATHENS -- Clella E. Stephens, 87, of Athens, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Kimes Convalescent Center.
A strong, spirited, woman, Clella was employed as a real estate complex manager in Florida for many years. Clella served as a member of the board for the United Seniors of Athens County and was an active volunteer for many organizations in Athens, including O'Bleness Hospital and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. She was a past noble grand of the Rebekkah Lodge and was president of the Women's Business and Professional Organization in Miami, Oklahoma.
Born Aug. 18, 1915, in Granby, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Eula E. Taylor Lewis and Burton S. Lewis. She is survived by two sisters, Laverne Munson (Todd) and Maxine Brewster (Jake); a brother, Burton Lewis Jr.; a son, Lowell Chambers (Bernice); a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Chambers Gilmore (Donald); and son-in-law, Lloyd Brown (Mary); granddaughters Christine Chambers Hart (Raphael), Karen Chambers Hill (Tom) and Carla E. Brown; a grandson, Mark Coker (Sheila); and her caring friends at Kimes Convalescent Center.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Stephens; sons Carl D. Chambers and Norman Seth Chambers; a daughter, Norma Beth Brown; a sister, Clytia Walker (John); and brothers, John Wesley Lewis and Gilbert Taylor.
Graveside services will be held in Miami, Oklahoma. She will be remembered at the Albany Methodist Church service today during the worship service.

Madis N. Mollohan

COOLVILLE -- Madis N. Mollohan, 84, of Coolville, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her residence.
Born March 25, 1919, in Webster Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Edward and Eudora Bledsoe Hamrick.
She is survived by her husband, Jennings; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill Mollohan of Belpre, and Pete and Teresa, and David and Jennie Mollohan, all of Coolville; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Paul Daggett of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Friend and Velma Douglas, both of Ivydale, W.Va.; and a brother, Roy Hamrick of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, 11 a.m., at Coolville Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Daggett officiating. Arrangements are by White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville.

Carl Roger Hubbard

Age: 60
RACINE -- Carl Roger Hubbard, 60, of Racine, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in Racine.
Born Sept. 25, 1942, in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Carl Leslie and Adrienne Whitlock Hubbard. He was a millwright and construction boilermaker. Mr. Hubbard was a member and commander of Racine American Legion Post 602, a member of Shade River Lodge 453 F&AM and Tuppers Plains VFW Post 9053.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Eichinger Hubbard; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. and Sandy Hubbard of Syracuse; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracie R. and Butch Stein of Trimble; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sheila Hubbard of Lancaster, Larry and Edie Hubbard of Racine; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Ronnie Ransom of Racine; sisters-in-law, Delores Whitlock of Syracuse, Mary Jane Gibbs and Linda E. Collins of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a brother-in-law, John Eichinger of Gainesville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a special companion, Zeke.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Ronnie, and a sister, Nancy.
Services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va., with the Rev. William Hoback officiating. Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by Racine American Post 602 and Tuppers Plains VFW Post 9053.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m., with Masonic services provided by Shade River Lodge 453 F&AM at 7;30 p.m.

CHESTERHILL -- Erma G. Crippen Mayle, 86, of Chesterhill, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Born June 10, 1916, in Stewart, she was the daughter of the late Zean and Inez Woody Crippen. She is survived by sons Russell, Danny, Robert, James and John; and daughters Shirley Carnes, Karen Robinson and Sharon Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Mayle.
Services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Mount Hermon Church, Amesville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LOGAN -- Marjorie A. Watters, 89, of Logan, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in Logan.
She was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Hocking County, daughter of the late Benjamin Sr. and Lula Herzog Cooper. She is survived by daughters Mary Lou North and Jody Hill.
Services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

CARBONDALE -- Florida Marie Mash-Sisson, 73, of Carbondale, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her residence.
Born Aug. 5, 1929, in Whitepost, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Floyd Calvin and Rebecca Jane Vyers Stepp. She attended Windows of Heaven Church, Nelsonville.
She is survived by her husband, James Sisson; sons James Ronnie (Delores) Stepp of Albion, Mich., Clarence Eugene Mash Jr., Tim Lee Mash, Edward Glenn (Theresa) Mash and Floyd William (Lynn) Mash, all of Nelsonville; daughters Bonnie (Gene) Blosser of Nelsonville and Connie Sue (Charles) Pettit of Logan; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Emmons (Ruth) Stepp, and a sister, Lucy Blackburn, both of Oceana, W.Va.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Mash, who passed away on Nov. 30, 1990; daughters Ruth Ann Wise and Ellen Jane Blosser; a son, Ted Allan Mash; several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Curt Ward officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery.

Born Feb. 29, 1928, in Sugar Creek, Athens County, he was the son of the late William and Freda C. Giffin Sycks. He is survived by his wife, F. Jean Sycks; a son, David D. Sycks; and a daughter, Linda McManaway.
