COLUMBUS - Barbara L. Horvath Hamilton, 58, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 suddenly in an auto accident on Route 33 near Haydenville.
She was employed as a legal records clerk with Wendy’s International main office. She was a very active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Elizabethan Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Horvath; stepmother Margaret Horvath; her husband, Thomas Hamilton; and a brother, Raymond “Tom” Horvath. She is survived by two daughters Angela Hamilton of Columbus, and Audrey and husband Dr. Paul Carey of Athens; granddaughters Vanessa, Gabrielle and Baelyn Carey; a sister, JoAnne (Chuck) Parish of Illinois; a brother, Eugene (Loretta) Horvath of Williamsburg, Ohio; aunts Agnes Greer and Doris Horvath; brothers-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hamilton, Raymond Jander and William Price; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Maeder-Quint-Tiberi Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio (614) 444-1185. Rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m. today.
Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Iris M. Williams
Died: Friday, November 21, 2003
Age: 81
POMEROY - Iris M. Williams, 81, of Pomeroy died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at her residence.
Born July 7, 1922, in Middleport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel Long Winebrenner.
She was married to William Ray Williams who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Connee Enslen, Pennee Knapp and Rocky and Mark Williams.
Services will be Monday, 1 p.m., at Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Doris Randolph Colyer
Died: Friday, November 21, 2003
Age: 87
COOLVILLE - Another Angel entered into the arms of the Lord at the home of her daughter and son-in-law surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003.
Doris was 87; she was born on Nov. 22, 1915, in Kenna, W.Va. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Slaughter Raines, she was married to Rufus Randolph for 46 years and to Rev. David Colyer for two years. They preceded her in death.
Doris is survived by her son Rev. Curtis (Ada) Randolph of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Irene Randolph of Selah, Wash.; daughters, Justine (Phil) Wildermuth of Baltimore, Ohio, Janice Wright and Nancy (Charles) Hupp of The Plains, and Donna Bennett and friend Ron Adkins of Raceland, Ky.
She was loved and adored by her 18 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and three brothers.
Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Carroll Randolph; her grandson, Brian Aeiker; her granddaughter, Diana Wright; and three brothers and four sisters.
She was a homemaker and also a mothers’ helper for the Barney Greanbaum family for nine years.
Friends may call at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lynda Kuhn officiating and burial will follow in the Basil Memorial Cemetery in Baltimore.
Robert Reed Sr.
Died: Friday, November 21, 2003
Age: 81
MCARTHUR - Rev. Robert Reed Sr., 81, of McArthur died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan after an extended illness.
Born Saturday Aug. 19, 1922, in Deer Creek Twp., in Madison County, he was the son of the late Wilkie Lumbard Reed and Ethel Malina (Little) Reed-Smalley and stepfather, Clarence Smalley.
Rev. Reed was a farmer and served as a clergyman for 40 years. He was a former member of the Ohio National Guard and also participated in the CCC Camp during President Roosevelt’s New Deal.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Mary) Reed Jr. of Nelsonville and Mike Reed of Bloomingburg; three daughters, Naomi (Danny) Chandler of Logan, Beverly Shinkle and companion Mark of Washington Courthouse, and Carolyn (Dean) Chandler of McArthur; three brothers, Cecil and Dave Smalley both of London and Ted Smalley of Logan; two sisters, Virginia Reed of Springfield and Christine Wood of Washington Courthouse; sixteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and step-father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Reed (1993); a brother, William Smalley; a daughter, Ruthie Wood, a son, Phillip Reed; and two grandsons, Harry Dean Chandler Jr. and Frederick Wood.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan with the Rev. Michael Cole officiating.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., in Washington Cemetery, Washington Courthouse.

Clara Irene Brunk

Age: 82
CARBON HILL - Clara Irene Brunk, 82, of Carbon Hill, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003.
Born June 26, 1921, in Elida, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Powell Hartman. She was married Dec. 2, 1945, to Norman H. Brunk, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1987.
She is survived by her children, Nolan (Barbara) Brunk of Parsonsburg, Md., Sharon (William) Renno of Danville, Pa., Wesley (Nancy) Brunk of Carbon Hill, Wendall (Janet) Brunk of Delmar, Del., Patricia (Titus) Miller of Chimaltenango, Guatemala, and Elaine Brunk of Carbon Hill, with whom she made her home; 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin (Annie) Hartman of Lima and Robert (Rhoda) Hartman of Kidron; a brother-in-law, Chester Good, and a sister-in-law, Mildred Hartman, of Elida; a sister-in-law, Martha Brunk Showalter of Harrisonburg, Va.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Brunk, in 1965; an infant son; a brother, Edwin Hartman; and a sister, Ruby Good.
She was a member of Carbon Hill Mennonite Church, where her husband served as deacon until his death.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 a.m., at Nelsonville United Pentecostal Church, 785 Jackson St., with John Brunk, Larry Showalter and William Bear officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home in Logan today, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.; and at the church on Monday, one hour prior to the service.

Robert H. Hawk
Died: Thursday, November 20, 2003
Age: 79
STEWART - Robert H. Hawk, 79, of Stewart, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville.
Born Aug. 31, 1924, in Shade, he was the son of the late Guy and Grace Buck Hawk. Robert was a World War II veteran and was retired from General Telephone Co. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Robert (Carolyn) Hawk of Guysville; a daughter, Jan Hawk of Guysville; and two grandchildren, Robin (Scott) Frazer of Miamisburg, and Travis Norton and fiancé Jerri Brown of Stewart.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Clifton Hawk, and a granddaughter, Karen Hawk.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens.

Donald Vaun Bell Sr.
Died: Thursday, November 20, 2003
Age: 75
WELLSTON - Donald Vaun Bell Sr., 75, of Wellston, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Kettering Memorial Hospital.
Born May 28, 1928, in Wellston, he was the son of the late Donald V. and Blanche Jenkins Bell. He was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Steadman Bell; a daughter, Lisa Adkins; and a son, Donald V. Bell II.
Services will be Sunday, 1 p.m., at McWilliams Funeral Home, Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m., where Masonic services will be held at 7:30.
