Age: 77

McARTHUR - Grace Inboden, 77, of McArthur, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at Twin Maples Nursing Home, McArthur.

She was the daughter of the late Clem and Naomi Harden Inboden.

She is survived by her children, Larry and Vera Belle Inboden.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley E. Inboden.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur. Graveside funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.

Ruth Ann Hill
Died: Thursday, June 12, 2003
Age: 71

RACINE - Ruth Ann Hill, 71, of Racine, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Born April 20, 1932, in Minersville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph R. and Dorothy D. Hysell Badgley. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Trammell, and sons Billy C. Hill Jr., Jeffrey Hill, Timothy Hill and Christopher Hill.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine, with burial in Letart Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.

Contributions may be made to Racine United Methodist Church, Elm Street, Racine 45771.

Roland Reynolds
Died: Thursday, June 12, 2003
Age: 77

ALBANY - Roland Reynolds, 77, of Reynolds Road, Albany, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.

Born Jan. 19, 1926, in Ligon, Ky., he was the son of the late Millford and Mary Isaac Reynolds. He was an Army veteran of Korea and a life member of Albany VFW Post 9893. He was a retired union plumber and pipefitter with Local 577, Portsmouth.

He is survived by daughters Wilma (Roy) Coleman of Grove City and Blinda (Howard) Easterling of Murray City; sons Garland (Barbara) Reynolds of Trimble and Derek Reynolds of Albany; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Aaron Reynolds of Gallipolis; and a sister, Liz McGinnis of Rio Grande.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annalene Henson Reynolds, in 1998; two brothers, Earl and Rufus Reynolds; and two sisters, Ethel Reynolds and Mary Alice Ray.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens, where Albany VFW Post 9893 will conduct military graveside services.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mary Elizabeth Wolfe
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Age: 84

ASHTABULA - Mary Elizabeth Wolfe, 84, of Ashtabula, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.

Born June 12, 1918, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Frank Cyrus and Minnie Myrtle Cone Rose. She was a homemaker, a member of the Grottoettes and First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Ellen Thayer of Stuart, Fla., Marianne (Hiram) Cannon of Tucson, Ariz., and Libby Jane (Maurice) Fryer of Ashtabula; nine grandchildren, Christopher Jay Ketchum, Scott Dayton Ketchum, Kimberly Ann Nappi, Natalie Jean Thayer, Kevin Dale Thayer, John Edward Mooney, Erin Elizabeth Mooney, Katherine Ann Ketchum and Joshua Charles Fryer; and three great-grandchildren, Nina Deniellecq Nappi, Aaron Michael Cole and Angela Mornay Cole.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lee Wolfe; two brothers, Wendell Otis Rose and Willis Cone Rose; two sisters, Dorothy Cone Atkins and Helen Beatrice Rapp; a son-in-law, Vincent Thayer; and a special friend, Harry Siam.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Edward Brown officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are by Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany.

Dorothy M. Gaskins
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Age: 85

COOLVILLE - Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dorothy M. Gaskins, 85, of Coolville, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va.

Born Sept. 7, 1917, in Torch, she was the daughter of the late Glenna P. and Verona Estelle Clark Russell.

Dorothy and her second husband, Jack White, were the former owners of White Funeral Home in Coolville. She also started Dorothy’s Beauty Shop in 1960. Dorothy was a member of Coolville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, a member of Coolville Senior Citizens and a former member of Rebecca Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Gaskins; a son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Brenda Day; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Leon “Doc” Gillian, and Nancy and Alex Couladis; three stepdaughers and their husbands, Susan and Jim Pietro, Christine and Dan Miklos, and Nancy and Kent Russell; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jay and Michele Ethridge, Jill Ethridge, Pat and Carla Gillian, Mitch and Lauren Gillian, Chris Day, Traci and Jack Fox; stepgrandchildren Joe and Barbara Pietro, Tracy Pietro, Morgan Russell, Heather Russell, Melissa Russell, Sara and Curt Gold, Jake and Ryan Nichols; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Denver Day; her second husband, Jack White; a daughter, Jeri Lynn; a stepson, Lee Ethridge; three brothers and a sister.

Services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Coolville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wesley Thatcher officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery, Belpre.

Friends may call at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coolville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 125, Coolville 45723.

Jerry Dean Hill
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Age: 26

WELLSTON - Jerry Dean Hill, 26, of Wellston, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Hutington.

Born Sept. 10, 1976, in Elkhart, Ind., he was the son of Gary D. Hill of Wellston and the late Ramona Rankin Hill.

Services will be Sunday, 2 p.m., at Jenkins Funeral Home, Wellston. Burial will be in Pattonsville Community Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 11 a.m.

Kathryn J. Wood
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Age: 89

NELSONVILLE - Kathryn J. Wood, 89, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 22, 1914, in Sabina, she was the daughter of the late Carey and Pearl Lucas Arehart. She is survived by her husband, Fred Wood; a daughter, Shirley McVey; a son, Bobby Wilson of Nelsonville; and stepchildren Thomas Wood and Brenda Wood. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Wilson.

Service were today at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, with burial in Sabina Cemetery.

Marguerite Scott
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003

ALBANY - Marguerite Scott, of Swart Road, Albany, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 11, 2003, in the emergency room at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital.

Born April 26, 1916, in Columbia Twp., Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late John Kenneth and Georgiana Peck Crabtree. She was a homemaker and a 1934 graduate of Columbia High School. She was a lifelong member of Temple United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, a 73-year member of Albany Grange 1611 and a member of the Carrie Hall Club.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Dale and Helen Scott of Albany; grandchildren Debbie (Jeff) Arnold of Albany, Dalelene (David) Stafford of Bremen and Denise (Steve) McCauley of Bedford; great-grandchildren Rebecca Arnold of Bedford, Christina Arnold of Albany, Timothy Sedlock, Trisha Sedlock and Lexi Stafford, all of Bremen; a brother, Arthur Crabtree of Albany; nephews Carl, Kenneth and Donald Crabtree; several cousins, including Max Crabtree and Madge Dye; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith and Lucille Scott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Scott; a brother, Rolland Crabtree; a niece, Laura Crabtree; and two sisters-in-law, Beulah and Westina Crabtree.

Services will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m., at Temple United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in Temple Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, where Albany Grange 1611 will hold memorial Grange services at 7.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations can be made to Temple United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Sue Peck, treasurer, Scott Lot Road, Albany, Ohio 45710.

Carl Edward hoback
Died: Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Age: 63

RACINE - Carl Edward Hoback, 63, of Laurel Bloomery, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at his home.

Born Sept. 8, 1939, in Racine, he was the son of Charles Edward and Irene Theiss Hoback of Syacuse. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Freeman, and a son, Michael Edward Miller.

Services will be Saturday, 1 p.m., at Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
