Eula Waldron
McARTHUR - Eula G. Waldron, 86, formerly of McArthur, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Huston Nursing Home, Hamden.
She was born Feb. 4, 1914, in Wellston, daughter of the late Hilas and Ida Iona Spires Ward. She was a homemaker and a member of McArthur Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by two daughters, Alyce (Omer) Seitz of McArthur and Helen Pierce of Wellston; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James S. Waldron; sons James D., Lewis P. and James E. Waldron; a son-in-law, Kenneth Pierce; two brothers, five sisters, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur, with the Rev. William H. Roth officiating. Burial will be in Elk Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m.
Earnest Barrows
ATHENS - Earnest G. Barrows Jr., 67, of Athens, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
Born April 15, 1933, in Athens, he was the son of the late Earnest G. Sr. and Irene Jewell Barrows.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Barrows; two daughters, Pam Oney and Christina Biggins; and a son, Earnest G. Barrows III.
Services will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with burial in Alexander Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, 6 to 8 p.m.

Darlie Pritchard
NELSONVILLE - Darlie Kathleen Pritchard, 83, of Columbus, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at her home. She was born in Buchtel.
She is survived by children Ben Pritchard, Charmaine Garey and Theron Pritchard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Pritchard.
Services will be held Friday, noon, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Shoedinger North Chapel, Columbus.

Charles Self
NEW STRAITSVILLE - Charles Louis Self II, 66, of New Straitsville, died Saturday Sept. 30, 2000, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
He was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Shawnee, son of the late Charles Louis and Ella Mae Slatzer Self.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, with burial in New Straitsville Cemetery.

Ruler Champe
GLOUSTER - Ruler M. Champe, 76, of Glouster, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000.
He was born May 10, 1924, in Charleston, W.Va., the son of the late Ruler M. and Chloe Black Champe.
Mr. Champe was a retired coal miner and an Army veteran of World War II. He served in Gen. Patton's Third Tank Division and the 274th Field Artillery. He was a member of the Glouster Masonic Lodge, the Glouster American Legion, The Plains VFW, and the United Mine Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene White Champe; daughters Romona Young of Charleston, W.Va., Arvil Diana Miller, of Glouster, Jacalyn (Bill) Patton, of Dayton, Cathy Morris of Jacksonville, Martha (Dave) Dolan, of Glouster;, Cynthia Thompson of Athens; a son, James (Nina) Andrews, of Nelsonville; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Champe of Charleston, W.Va.; and a sister, Mary Champe Hall of Nelsonville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda June Champe.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with James Osborn and Don Seevers officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.
Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., where Masonic services will be held at 7 :30 p.m.
Thomas Holter
RACINE - Thomas E. Holter, 80, of Racine, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
Born April 18, 1920, in Sutton Twp., he was the son of the late Thomas and Belle Birch Holter.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Holter of Racine; and children Karen Werry, Roger Holter, Ronald Holter, Sharon Card and Kevin Holter.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with cremation to follow.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Tayllor Ann Williams
GUYSVILLE - Tayllor Ann Williams, infant daughter of Cambridge V. Williams and Amber M. Gager, came and then went Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000.
Memorial services will be today at 2 p.m. at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the service.
Marie Ackley
ATHENS - Marie Ackley of Columbus died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Sadie Morris Ackley; a brother, Carl Ackley; and a sister, Esta Ackley Bryson.
She is survived by a son, George Douglas; grandchildren Susan Gatewood, Denise Burkhard and David Wayne Douglas; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; sisters Irene Sickles of Athens and Dorothy Strawser of Columbus; and brothers Clarence Ackley of Nelsonville, Ernest Ackley and Pearl Ackley of Columbus, and Vern Ackley and Robert Ackley of Portsmouth.
There will be no funeral services. Arrangements are by Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State St., Columbus.
Shirley Ables
RACINE - Shirley M. Ables, 65, of 22700 Riverfront Road, Racine, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born April 26, 1935, in Letart Falls, Meigs County, daughter of the late Henry and Alice Beaver Balser.
She is survived by sons, Lawrence W., Ronald Lee and Paul D. Ables.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Ables.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Cremeens Funeral Home in Racine. Burial will be in Letart Falls Cemetery.

Shawn McAlpin
ATHENS - Shawn Allen McAlpin, 23, of Ada, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Arthur James Cancer Center, Columbus.
He was born June 16, 1977, in Athens, son of James D. and Diana S. Simerly McAlpin of Ada. Mr. McAlpin worked with the House Doctor in Wapakoneta, and was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 330 in Wapakoneta.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Jessica Douglas of Wapakoneta; a son, Austin Allen McAlpin of Wapakoneta; a sister, Shanna L. Campbell of Ada; his maternal grandmother, Thelma Simerly of Glouster; his fiancee's parents, Robbie and Vicki Douglas of Wapakoneta; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Ruth Carr
POMEROY - Ruth Elizabeth Carr, 76, of Pomeroy, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
She was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of the late Jesse and Gladys Klingensmith Downey. She was a homemaker and a member of Pomeroy Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte Coleman of Mason, W.Va., and Nancy and Mike Griffith of Pomeroy; a son, Ronald Carr of Pomeroy; a brother, James L. Downey of Benton City, Wash.; and 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Boone Carr, on Feb. 29, 1992; a daughter, Rita Yeauger; four grandchildren and a great-grandson; a sister, Virginia Linderman; and a brother, Jesse L. Downey Jr.
Services will be held Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, 226 Jackson Ave., Point Pleasant, W.Va., with Pastor Mark Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Ruby Crawford
CHESTERHILL - Ruby Mae Crawford, 82, of Chesterhill, formerly of Vinton, died today, Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Morgan County Care Center, McConnelsville.
She was born July 16, 1918, in Calhoun County, W.Va., daughter of the late M.D. Parsons and Dora Keith Parsons.
She is survived by three children, Phyllis Taylor, Max W. Crawford and John W. Crawford.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest "Pete" Crawford.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton. Burial will be in Vinton Memorial Park.
