ALBANY – Richard P. Bagley, 66, of Albany, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at his home.
Born Nov. 23, 1936 in Alverda, Pa., he was the son of the late James and Cora Flemming Bagley.
He is survived by three children, Cindy (Robert) Meek of The Plains, Richard (Sherri) Bagley of New Marshfield and Vicki (Chris) Rosser of Albany; eight grandchildren, Jamie and Heather Meek, Richard, Russell, Ryan and Robert Bagley, Linda Bagley and Breanna Rosser; a great-granddaughter, Alexis; and three brothers, Mervin Bagley of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Carl Bagley of Clymer, Pa., and David Bagley of Indiana, Pa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janette Bagley in 1996, and a grandson, James Bagley.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by Athens VFW Post 3477 and Athens American Legion Post 21.

Delbert L. Crum Sr.

Age: 60
GUYSVILLE - Delbert L. Crum Sr., 60, of Guysville, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan.
Born Jan. 2, 1943, he was the son of the late George and Rinda Steppe Crum.
Delbert was a union concrete finisher in the Athens area for many years and a former member of the Big Run Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Stover Crum; five children, Debbie (Edward) Bowers of Athens, Dorothy Jean (Harold) Young of Guysville, Delbert Jr. “Bub” (Mary) Crum of Cutler, Barbara Crum and fiancé Mike Robinson of Athens, and Nancy (Robert) Carpenter of Coolville; two brothers, Dick Crum of Vermillion and Joe Crum of Martin County, Ky.; four sisters, Clora Thacker of Columbus, Allie Watkins of Athens, Doris Preece of Martin County, Ky., and Nannie Johnson of Athens; 14 grandchildren, including Delbert Crum III; and two great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Nola May Adams and Imjean Preece; a brother, Flem Crum; and a nephew, Ralph Stover III.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will be at Mount Liberty Cemetery.

Bessie Marie Lewis

AMESVILLE - Bessie Marie Lewis, 93, of Amesville, died Thursday evening, Oct. 9, 2003, at Mark Rest Center, McConnelsville.
Born Feb. 9, 1910, in Fleming, she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Jessie Milton Lewis. She was a teacher and administrator who retired from Lexington Avenue School in Columbus. She was a member of Amesville Presbyterian Church and the national society of Phi Delta Kappa.
She is survived by two brothers, Elmer “Posey” Lewis of Chesterhill and George Lewis of Burson, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Norris of Sacramento, Calif., Zelica Smith of Amesville and Evelyn Robinson of Chesterhill; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim, Clyde, Charles and Harvey; and a sister, Leona Fischer.
Services will be held Monday, 11 a.m., at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home, Chesterhill, with the Rev. Terry Newman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.

WELLSTON - Darrell Ray Jones Jr., 22, of Wellston, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, in a non-military incident while serving with the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf.
Born June 28, 1981, in Killeen, Texas, he was the son of Darrell R. Jones of Hamden and Karen S. Vaughn of Alabama. He also is survived by his wife, Felicia Marie Vetter Jones.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at World Outreach Ministries, Wellston. Burial with full military honors by the U.S. Navy will be in Hamden Cemetery.

ATHENS - Gael A. Dudding, 79, of Mason, W.Va., died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Born June 9, 1923, in Logan, W.Va., he was the son of the late Dennis L. and Nellie Luikard Dudding. He was a retired master sergeant for the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was former commander of Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 of Mason, a member of Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 of New Haven, W.Va., and DAV Chapter 52 of Pomeroy.
He issurvived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Dudding of Mason; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sharon Dudding, and Dennis and Libby Dudding, all of Athens; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Arthur Romero of South Elgin, Ill.; grandchildren Jennifer (Jason) Dodson, David M. Dudding, Teresa (Paul) Bird, Andrea Dudding, Jonathan Dudding, Christopher Dudding and Alison Dudding; two stepgrandchildren Matthew Romero and Jeremy Romero; two great-grandchildren, Aaron Dodson and Garrett Dodson; a brother, Willis Dudding of Flagler Beach, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Dudding of Mason; a sister, Juanita Dudding of New Haven; and a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Elmer McFarland of New Haven.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Marie Dudding.

ATHENS - Henri C. Seibert, 88, of West Grove, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Paoli Hospital. He was the husband of Alice White Seibert, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Caen Normandy France, he was a son of the late George K. and Louise Cleret Seibert. He was a professor emeritus of zoology and biomedical sciences at Ohio University and chairman of the Zoology Department for many years. He was a past international president of the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles. His lifelong interest and enthusiasm in birds and butterflies kept him active, especially in his retirement years. In recent years, he also was a volunteer at both the OU and University of Delaware Libraries.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter K. and Marjorie Seibert of Wellesley Hills, Mass., Michael W. and Diantha Seibert of Cuyahoga Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth C. and Richard Purcell of Malvern, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
A service will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Foulk Funeral Home Inc., 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove, Pa. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.

ALBANY - Maxine E. Jones, 77, of Albany, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003.
Born July 9, 1926, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Worthy and Etta Hall Spring. She was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church and Temple United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, the Rev. Edward C. Jones; sons David (Linda) Jones of Stephensville, Texas, and John (Debe) Jones of Coolville; grandchildren Scott (Krishna) Jones of Dallas, Texas, Jennifer (Collier) Albright of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Jones of Hico, Texas, Travis Jones of Coolville and Casey Jones of Athens; and great-grandchildren Rilee and Dempsey Jones of Dallas.
Services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, with the Revs. Roger L. Grace and Bill O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.

ATHENS - Sheila Ann Williams, 63, of Athens, died early Tuesday morning, Oct. 7, 2003, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains.
Born Feb. 23, 1940, in Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late Vastine and Louise Colley Tower. She was a 1957 graduate of Athens High and retired from Ohio University, where she was a housekeeping supervisor. She was a member of Richland Avenue Methodist Church and Ohio Order of Eastern Star Albany Chapter 558, a former member and steward of AFSCME Union, Athens Emblem Club and Pocahontas of the Redman.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn (Roger) Conroy of Athens; a son, Mike Williams of Athens; grandsons, Brett Conroy and Michael Williams, both of Athens; a brother, Robert Rathburn of Newark; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Anita Bails of Athens.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melinda Dawn Conroy, in 1989.

NEW PLYMOUTH -- Fern Belle Holley, 82, of New Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.
Born Sept. 8, 1920, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Flora Penrod Stump. She was married to Garland J. Holley of New Plymouth for 64 years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sons, Larry (Ella) Holley of New Marshfield, Rodney (Rebecca) Holley of Athens and Jeffrey (Sharon) Holley of New Plymouth; three daughters, Judy (Jack) Brooks of Cleveland, Angela (Jan) Nilsen of Albany and Evelyn (Richard) Sheets of Millfield; a daughter-in-law, Phillis Holley of Athens; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Garland Kenneth Holley; two sons, Randy and Danny Holley; a sister and five brothers.

Charles David Hamilton
Died: Friday, October 25, 2002
Age: 72
SYRACUSE -- Charles David Hamilton, 72, of Syracuse, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, after an extended illness.
Born May 31, 1930, in Maysville, Ky., he was the son of the late Charles David Hamilton Sr. and Lucy K. Nichols Hamilton Davis. He was a graduate of Wellston High School, production manager for the former Royal Crown Cola Bottling Co. in Middleport and a former agent for Prudential Life Insurance.
He was a member of Forest Run United Methodist Church, and attended and was a caretaker for Asbury United Methodist Church in Syracuse. He excelled in baseball and played for the minor league Muncy Reds team, which was based in Muncy, Ind. He was an umpire for high school and college baseball and coached American Legion baseball. He was an avid Ohio University basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Emmogene Edwards Hamilton of Syracuse; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian D. and Regina Hamilton of Syracuse; a daughter and son-in-law, Sam and Tom Hawley of Racine and stepchildren, Diana Mills of Syracuse, Teresa and Danny Talbott of Logan. He was the loving grandfather of Jessica Frechette, Ashley Hamilton, Sarah Hawley and Alex Hawley. He also is survived by a great-granddaughter, Lilliann Frechette, six stepgrandchildren and two step-greatgrandchildren; a special cousin, Dorothy Kirk of Flatwoods, Ky., and many other cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Pete Davis.
Services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Fisher Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with the Revs. Mark Morrow and Bob Robinson officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston, with the Rev. Junior Malloy officiating.

MILLFIELD -- Cindy Lou Coey, 45, of Millfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville.
Born March 15, 1957, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Russell L. and Kathryn Mingus Trainer. She was a member of Athens Women of the Moose and, before her illness, was employed by Ambassador Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Athens.
She is survived by her fiance, Danny McIntosh; two sons, Terry Coey of Millfield and Tyler McIntosh of the home; a daughter, Brandi Coey of Millfield; a stepdaughter, Alesha McIntosh of Taylor Ridge; two brothers, Bill (Carolyn McIntire) Trainer of Malta, and Alan (Denise) Trainer of Albany; three sisters, Sharon (John) Smith of Glouster, Missy (Jerry) Scott of Pennsville, and Michelle (Lee) Raines of Albany; and a special friend and caretaker, Sue McIntosh.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster. Interment will be in Mountville Cemetery, Morgan County.
