NELSONVILLE - Fannie D. Stough, 85, of Mount Victory, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1917, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Pearl R. and Clara Burford Glenn.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Streets.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Stough.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Price Funeral Home in Mount Victory. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Victory United Methodist Church or Ridgemont Public Library.
Beverly Jean Byard Miller Lapp
Died: Sunday, August 03, 2003
Age: 59
COLUMBUS - Beverly Jean Byard Miller Lapp, 59, of Columbus, left this earth Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, to go home to her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was a graduate of Shade High School in Athens County and of Columbus Business University. She was a former employee of Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus and of Frigidaire in Dublin, and was employed with Allied Mineral Products Inc. in Columbus. She was a member of Hilltop Christian Church and also attended Broad Street Christian and Northwest Christian Churches. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 206.
Known for her love of all God’s creations - especially Southern Ohio, the trees and hills, mountains, waterfalls, sunsets, animals and children - she also was a lover of photography, horses, smooth jazz music and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Glenn Byard, in 1961; and her fiancé, Donald C. Slivka Sr., in 2001.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Jason E. (Robin) Miller of St. Louis, Mo., and Michael G. (Jeri) Miller of Columbus; a daughter, Brandy J. Lapp of Columbus; five wonderful grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Jaden, Jacey and Rainevan; her mother, Gloria Byard; sisters, Elaine (Rocky) Sanborn of Athens and Rita (John) McBrayer of Grove City; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, with Dr. LaTaunya Bynum officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A private interment will follow for the family at Athens Memory Gardens.

Alan Dale Robinson

MILLFIELD - Alan Dale Robinson, 43, of Millfield, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at his residence.
Born Feb. 27, 1960, in Athens, he was the son of Grace Ann Crabtree Robinson of The Plains and the late Vernon Robinson. He was a member of the Ohio Surveyor’s Association and AOPA.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Alan D. Robinson Jr. of Chauncey and Ryder Lee Lenigar of the home; a daughter, Ann Marie Robinson of Chauncey; sisters, Brenda Tancayo and Karen Robinson, both of The Plains, and Rebecca (Rus) Hodges of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Kenneth Robinson of The Plains; nephews Gary Calles of Kansas and Stephen Koska of The Plains; and nieces Adrianna Hodges of Kansas and Sarah Koska of The Plains.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn New Addition, Nelsonville, with graveside military services conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.

JACKSON - Ira L. Combs, 78, of Four Winds Nursing Facility, Jackson, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center of Jackson.
Born Jan. 7, 1925, in Dwarf, Ky., he was the son of the late Lee and Samantha Fugate Combs.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Sindledecker Combs.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 11:15 a.m., at Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston. Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Paul V. Cheatwood

WELLSTON - Paul V. “Peau” Cheatwood, 91, of Wellston, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at his home.
Born July 23, 1912, he was the son of the late Ammazi “Fatty” and Elizabeth Cheatwood. He was a World War II military veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Virgene Jayjohn.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Hudson Cheatwood; and a stepson, Bob Hudson.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at J.P. Rogers Funeral Home in Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by American Legion Post 371.

June Clark

NEW MARSHFIELD - June Clark, 75, of New Marshfield, passed away late Saturday evening, Aug. 2, 2003.
Born Dec. 28, 1927, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Reese S. and Ruth Llewellyn Dinsmoor. She retired from the Athens County Board of Elections, was a 1945 graduate of Waterloo High School and a graduate of Bliss Business College in Columbus.
Mrs. Clark was a member of K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Athens County Democratic Party, New Marshfield VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Athens County Historical Society.
She is survived by daughters Rhonda Moore and her partner Kelly Norman of Athens, and Michele and her husband Roger Williams of New Marshfield; a son, Jeffrey Clark and his wife Jo Ricks of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren Chad and his wife Kelly Markins of New Marshfield, Eric and his wife Jessie Markins of Albany, Jenna Williams of New Marshfield and Jordan Williams of New Marshfield; great-grandchildren Riley Markins of New Marshfield, Brayden Reese Markins of New Marshfield, Hunter Markins of Albany, Lucas Markins of Albany; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Matheny of New Marshfield; and special friends Kerry Wright and Brenda Brown of New Marshfield.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Clark, in 1994, and a brother, Robert Dinsmoor.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, by minister Willard Love. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery.

LOGAN - Timothy F. Morgan Sr., 51, of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at his residence.
Born Sept. 20, 1951, in Columbus, he was the son of the late Marion Francis Morgan Jr. and Rachael Mae Yates Morgan-Green.
He is survived by a son, Timothy F. Morgan Jr. of Columbus; two daughters, Angela A. (Michael) Bailey of Warren, Mich., and Tammy Morgan of Galloway; and grandchildren Madison Bailey, Faith Morgan and Justin Harris.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan.

McCONNELSVILLE - Aiden J. Short, 2-week-old son of John and Erica “Kati” Short of McConnelsville, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Children’s Hospital, Columbus. He was born July 18, 2003, at University Hospital, Columbus.
Graveside services were held this morning at McConnelsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Matheney Funeral Home, McConnelsville.
Betty R. DeWitt Harbour

Age: 77
GALLIPOLIS - Betty R. DeWitt Harbour, 77, of Gallipolis, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Gallia County to the late Riley J. and Effie L. White DeWitt. She was a nursing associate for the state of Ohio at Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Chapter 283 of Gallipolis.
Survivors include her husband, W. Dale Harbour of Gallipolis; a daughter, Daleen K. (Bob) Dotson of Albany; sons Edwin E. (Barbara) Harbour of Brooksville, Fla., and Roger D. (Sandra) Harbour of Prophetstown, Ill.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virgie Roberts, and a brother, Horace DeWitt.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Willis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 1 to 3 p.m.
Pallbearers will be David Harbour, Mike Harbour, Brent Harbour, Wess Whitmore, Eugene Jordon and Bob Dotson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Rogers, Richard Brown and Lee Burcham.
There will be an Eastern Star service at the funeral home today at 3 p.m., conducted by the Eastern Star Chapter 283.
