MILLFIELD -- Michael Paul "Smiley" Williams, 18, of Millfield, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, as the result of an auto accident.
Born Nov. 27, 1984, in Athens, he was the son of Paul Williams of Gore and Bobbie Burchfield Williams of Millfield. He was a senior at Tri-County Vocational School.
Besides his parents, he is survived by sisters Amy Moran, Michele Williams and April Schrader, all of Logan; stepsisters Trinda Hook and Rebecca Moody of Glouster, and Lorena Dotson of Logan; stepbrothers Larry Hook of Trimble, Robert Hook of Glouster and James Hook of Lancaster; his stepfather, Larry Hook Sr. of Millfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He died with a special friend, Kyle Anthony Sadlowski.
Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Scott Heskett officiating. Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Dolorees Dutoit
Died: Sunday, April 27, 2003
Age: 95
NELSONVILLE -- Dolorees Dutoit, 95, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Country Club Center, Mount Vernon.
Born Feb. 2, 1908, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Bernard L. and Venice Cook Inman. She was a 60-year employee of the John W. Galbreath Co.
She is survived by a sister, Edith Foster of Mount Vernon; a niece, Teresa (Richard) York of Mount Vernon; and a nephew Darrel (Ann) Inman of Columbus.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Dutoit, in 1998; and two brothers, Marcel and Albert Inman.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at St. John Cemetery, Mount Vernon, with the Rev. Paul Merki officiating. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by North-Dilley Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
Joyce M. Bailey

LOGAN -- Joyce M. Bailey, 67, of Logan, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Logan.
Born Aug. 1, 1935, in Betsy Lane, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James H. and Mable King Johns. She is survived by her huband, Marion O. Bailey, and a son, Jim Bailey.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at New Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan.
Mary Champe Hall

GLOUSTER -- Mary Champe Hall, 82, of Glouster, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
Born May 25, 1920, in Charleston, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ruler M. Champe and Chloe M. Black. She was a graduate of Charleston High School and was employed by General Telephone for 37 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Sondra C. Risk) Handa of Glouster; grandchildren Wayne Shuttleworth (Collene) of Longview, Wash., Mary "Mimi" Shuttleworth and husband, Glen Burchfield, of Glouster, and Sheri Shuttleworth of Tampa, Fla; two great-grandchildren, Sondra and Alex Shuttleworth; a brother, Charles Champe of Charleston, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ramona Champe Young of Glouster.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Shuttleworth, and a brother, Wilbur "R.M." Champe.
A private service will be held. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Murray City.
Thomas Allen Tennihill

ATHENS -- Thomas Allen Tennihill, 45, of Athens, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, in Athens.
Born Jan. 1, 1958, in Nelsonville, he was the son of Charlotte Rose Decker Tennihill and the late Floyd Thomas Tennihill. He was a machinist for Mike Shell Machine Shop and had been an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Ouida Tennihill; a daughter, Sabrina Tennihill, and a son, Jason Tennihill, both of Portland, Mich.; a stepson, David (Teresa) Harris, and a stepdaughter, Tonia Harris, both of Waverly; three stepgrandchildren; a grandmother, Margurite Decker of Nelsonville; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
Besides his father, who passed away in 1989, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Charlotte Rose Tennihill.
Services were held today at Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Conner Cemetery, Buchtel. Arrangements were handled by Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville.

WELLSTON -- Hazel Avonell Eby, 89, of Wellston, has died.

Born Jan. 1, 1958 in Nelsonville, he was the son of Charlotte Rose Decker Tennihill of Nelsonville and the late Floyd Thomas Tennihill. He is survived by his wife, Quida Tennihill.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Nelsonville Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Conner Cemetery, Buchtel.

ATHENS -- Doras G. Morrow, 74, of Athens, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Starlin Morrow; three sons, Robert and Sheldon Plaugher and Richard Morrow; and three daughters, Julie Hughlett, Doris Plaugher and Patricia Carvell.
Services will be Monday, 1 p.m., at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta. Burial will be in Veto Cemetery.

WELLSTON -- George L. Cundiff, 63, of Wellston, died Friday, April 25, 2003.
He was born May 22, 1939, son of the late George and Irene Riffle Cundiff. He is survived by his wife, Sandra.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at J.P. Rogers Funeral Home, Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Milton Lawrence Savage

Age: 55
CHAUNCEY -- Milton Lawrence Savage, 55, of Chauncey, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at VA Medical Center, Cincinnati.
The son of Estella Marie Methany Savage of Jacksonville and the late Walter T. Savage, he was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Cleveland.
Milton was the owner and operator of Walt's Place in Chauncey. He was a 1965 graduate of Elyria High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion, VFW Post 3477, Past Commander AMVETS Post 53, DAV Chapter 39 and vice president of the Athens Area Browns Backers.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Christopher Falcone of Westerville; grandchildren Cristina, Christopher and Joshua; sisters Donna Martin of Holiday, Fla., and Maureen Savage of The Plains; brothers Terry (Nancy) Savage of Athens and David (Kaye) Savage of Athens; a special friend, Christy Holdcroft; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Owens Savage, in 1993.
Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the social hall of The Plains VFW Post 7174, 12 Pine St., The Plains.
Arrangements are by Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
