GUYSVILLE -- Leonard L. Frost, 60, of Guysville, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born March 12, 1942, at Frost, Ohio. He was the son of Clarence and the late Leida Linton Frost. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of the Bass Club and served in the Army Airborne.
Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Karen Boyer Frost; a son, Eric (Cindy); a daughter, Angie Slay; two grandsons, Justis Slay and Seth Frost; one brother, Ralph; one sister, Mary Frost; a brother-in-law, Jack (Betty) Rosser; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Jack and Wanda Richardson and numerous other friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Junie Rosser; and a sister-in-law, Faye Frost.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, with Pastor Jim Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Butts Cemetery, Frost, with military services.

Randall E. Storts
Died: Thursday, January 2, 2003
Age: 42
CORNING -- Randall E. "Randy" Storts, 42, of Groveport, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at his residence.
Born Nov. 22, 1960, in New Lexington, he was a 1979 graduate of Miller High School and received a BS degree from Ohio University in 1983. He was employed by Columbia Gas.
He is survived by his wife, Shayna; his father, Gene Storts of Corning; his mother, Delores Storts of Nelsonville; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Trisha Storts of Corning; a niece, Kaylie Storts; and his grandfather, Kenneth Storts of Somerset.
Services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m., at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home and Crematory, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Sunday one hour prior to services.

Floyd Thomas

Age: 89
LITHOPOLIS -- Floyd Thomas, 89, of Lithopolis, died early Thursday morning, Jan. 2, 2003, at Wesley Ridge, Reynoldsburg.
Born Oct. 1, 1913, in Trimble, he was the son of the late George B. and Annie Jane Antle Thomas. Mr. Thomas retired from Rockwell Corp., where he was a production planning engineer. He was a 1933 graduate of South High School in Columbus and a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Canal Winchester.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ravenscroft Thomas; a daughter, Kay (Kent) Holley of Bexley; a son, Floyd Pat (Sharon) Thomas of Columbus; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Erma Jagers and Wilma Austin, and a brother, Ernest Thomas.
Services will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at Dwayne Spence Funeral Home, Canal Winchester, conducted by the Rev. Nena Bauman. Burial will be in Lithopolis Cemetery.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
James B. Waite
Died: Thursday, January 2, 2003
Age: 59
NELSONVILLE -- James B. Waite, 59, of Nelsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at his home.
Born Feb. 17, 1943, in Caldwell, he was the son of the late James and Lura Davis Waite. He retired as the Barlett postmaster and also had worked for the postal service in Zanesville. He was a former member of Stockport Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of Web Lodge of Stockport and Aladdin Temple Shrine.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Flora K. Waite; daughters Erin, Bonnie, Marsha and Lisa; a son, Jason Waite of Columbus; another daughter, Melissa (Scott) Atkinson of Spencer, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Carolyn) Waite of Zanesville; his mother-in-law, Viola E. Blackstone of Zanesville; and a special friend, Bernard North of the home.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Bonnie Roberts and Patricia Dille.
Services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. David Cogar officiating.

Ida Belle Waulke Brisker

COALTON -- Ida Belle Waulke Brisker, 83, of Coalton, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston.
Born April 29, 1919, in Carter County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James Waulke and Rosa Goheen Waulke Fout. She is survived by children Larry W. Brooks, Ivy L. Roche and Jane Hanson.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home, Wellston, with burial in Coalton Cemetery.

Donald L. Adams

Age: 68
LOGAN -- Donald L. Adams, 68, of Columbus, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2003, in Columbus.
Born Aug. 26, 1934, in Kingston, he was the son of the late Ira and Lucille Blankenship Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie M. Shifflit Adams; sons Shane, Jeff and Brian Adams; and daughters Linda Hinnegardt, Cindy Walsh, Debbra DeLoss and Kelley Rome.
Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan. Burial will be in New Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Robert Everett Giffin
Died: Wednesday, January 1, 2003
Age: 88
WAUSEON -- Robert Everett Giffin, 88, of Bailey Island, Maine, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, in the home of his son, James, near Wauseon.
Prior to his retirement in 1979, he had been a surveyor for Ohio Edison in Akron.
Mr. Giffin was born in Rock Hill, Ohio, on Oct. 11, 1914, to Everett J. and Grace A. Colman Giffin. On Sept. 25, 1948, he married Mary E. Ball, who survives. He was a member of Bishopville Church of Christ, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and VFW, and enjoyed many activities including bowling, reading, woodworking and rug hooking.
Surviving besides his wife, Mary, are a son, James Giffin of Wauseon; four daughters, Anne (Dale) Fry of Cuyahoga Falls, Mary Ellen (Russell) Bogue of Glouster, Marcia Giffin of Gahanna and Ruth (Mark) Matthews of Wauseon; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Isabelle Greenlee of St. Clairsville and Jean Mallernee of Cadiz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold, Ohio, with Pastor Ron Guengerich officiating. There will be no visitation. Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold, is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Church of Christ in Brunswick, Maine, or Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
Robert Lowery
Died: Thursday, December 26, 2002
Age: 66
GLOUSTER -- Robert "Bob" Lowery, 66, of 1420 Illinois St., Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Glouster, died of heart failure on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his home.
Born Dec. 25, 1936, in Glouster, he had lived in Frostproof for seven years. He retired from the U.S. Navy, serving from 1954 to 1974. He graduated from Glouster High School in 1954. He was a Protestant.
Bob had many hobbies, such as working with clay, making flags and playing golf. He was active in the history of the Civil War and was a member of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, re-enacting battles and making replica supplies for the re-enactors.
Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret Lowery, at home; a daughter, Darlene Lea Reagan of Covington, Ky.; sons, William Robert Lowery of Glouster and Michael Wade Lowery of Covington, Ky.; his mother, Bernice Lowery Hodgson of Jacksonville; brothers, Wayne Lowery of Jacksonville, Allen Dale Lowery of Pensacola, Fla., and Norman S. Lowery Jr. of Bishopville; a sister, Sally Hines of Belpre; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father, Norman S. Lowery Sr.
Services were held Dec. 30 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Frostproof, officiated by the Rev. R.L. Polk. Burial was in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
