Everett Saunders Sr.

Age: 74
MARION -- Everett Saunders Sr., 74, of Palm Springs, Calif., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2002.
Born Feb. 4, 1928, in Marion, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Omega Coon Saunders. He is survived by two sons, Robert and Everett Jr.
A memorial service was held Thursday in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
Flossie Nelson
Died: Saturday, May 26, 2001
POMEROY -- Flossie Mae Kapple Nelson, 88, of Pomeroy, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Holzer Hospital.
Born Feb. 2, 1913, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Ina Fay Frost Kapple.
She is survived by children Johnny and Eddie Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with burial in Miles Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
James Pope
Died: Saturday, May 26, 2001
NELSONVILLE -- James M. Pope, 60, of Nelsonville, died Saturday, May 26, 2001 at his residence.
Born Dec. 2, 1940, in Washington Court House, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Pope. He was a Navy veteran and a 1958 graduate of Nelsonville High School.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Kennard Pope, whom he married on March 7, 1964; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Angie Pope of Londonderry; his daughter, Stephanie Pope of Nelsonville; his grandchildren, Jessie and Madison Pope of Londonderry; his sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Bill Lucas of Washington Court House; and his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Shirley Pope of Washington Court House.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Pope.
A private burial will be at a later date.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville.
Larry Potter
Died: Saturday, May 26, 2001
WELLSTON -- Larry E. Potter, 60, of Wellston, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Born Jan. 3, 1941, in Newark, he was the son of the late Wilbur E. and Goldie L. Brawley Potter.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brown Potter; a son, Bradley; and a daughter, Lynne C. Thompson.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wellston First Presbyterian Church, 18 S. Pennsylvania Ave.
Florence Reynolds
Died: Saturday, May 26, 2001
LOGAN -- Florence R. Reynolds, 61, of Logan, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born Sept. 22, 1939, in Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey W. and Bessie Eggleston Beougher.
She is survived by her husband, Earl J. Reynolds.
Services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m.
James Hazelton VI
Died: Friday, May 25, 2001
POMEROY -- James Albert Hazelton VI, 89, of Pomeroy, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center in Pomeroy.
Born Nov. 23, 1911, in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late James Albert V and Minnie Mae Schneider Hazelton.
He is survived by his spouse, Vada Paulsen Hazelton; three sons, Michael, Timothy and Jim Hazelton; and two daughters, Jane Hazelton and Cynthia Sanders.
He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. at Hemlock Grove Christian Church. Burial will be in Hemlock Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours at Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mary Yeauger
Died: Friday, May 25, 2001
CHESHIRE -- Mary Kathryn Yeauger, 85, of Cheshire, died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Cheshire.
Born Dec. 8, 1915, in Cheshire, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Alice (Rupe) Rupe.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Roban and Janice Crouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Yeauger.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fisher-Acree Funeral Home in Middleport. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Herbert Junod

ATHENS -- Herbert D. Junod, 78, of Huron, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Firelands Community Hospital in Sandusky after a brief illness.
He was born in Athens on Nov. 13, 1922.
He is survived by his wife, Claribel Eckardt Junod; and a son, Charles Junod.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Edna Frost Junod.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Scott Cemetery in Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron Rescue Squad, 413 Main Street, Huron, 44839.

POMEROY -- David W. Landaker, 79, of Pomeroy, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Veterans Memorial Extended Care in Pomeroy.
Born Dec. 12, 1921, in Meigs County, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Mabel Landaker.
Mr. Landaker is survived by his wife, Eileen Lee Landaker; seven daughters, Sharon Harvey, Sandy Herdman, Pam Moore, Wanda Rutter, Patty Laudermilt, Shirley Friend and Addie Reitmire; and three sons, Roland, John and David Landaker.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Rocksprings Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
