Emma was known for her excellent cooking, and she took delight in preparing many Hungarian dishes for her family.
Emma's parents emigrated from Hungary in the early 1900s. They came to America during economic hard times, and Emma, the second eldest of the family, always was a hard worker during her growing-up days. Her father could speak seven languages when he came to America, but English was not one of them.
Emma was a great lover of flowers and planted them in every home in which she ever lived. She was a Cub Scout dean leader, leading the pack on five-mile hikes. Walking was one of her favorite pastimes, and she continued daily walks until she broke her hip and was confined to a wheelchair.
Emma will be remembered for her generosity to others, her hard work outside the home, and for her wonderful cooking. She was an immaculate housekeeper, always deriving pleasure from her home, no matter where home was.
