MIDDLEPORT -- George David Lemley Jr., 46, of Middleport, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
Born Feb. 5, 1955, in Mason, W.Va., he was the son of the late George David Sr. and Helen M. Lynch Lemley.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy L. Blankenship Lemley; and children April Starcher and Sarah and Andrew Blankenship.
Services will be today at 8 p.m. at Fisher-Acree Funeral Home, Middleport, where friends may call beginning at 6 p.m.
Robert Randall
Died: Sunday, July 1, 2001
LOGAN -- Robert S. Randall, 80, of Logan, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at his residence.
Born Dec. 26, 1920, in Lima, he was the son of the late Eugene C. and Goldie E. Snyder Randall.
He is survived by his wife, Flossie M. Waltie Randall; sons Robert C., John K. and Thomas J. Randall; and daughters Barbara Spencer, Betsy Hicks and Jane Burnworth.
Services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Perry County.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Joseph Sayre
Died: Sunday, July 1, 2001
RACINE -- Joseph Sayre, 59, of Racine, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 1, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 22, 1941, son of Laura Mullins Sayre of Clendenin, W.Va., and the late Jesse B. Sayre.
He was retired from AEP, where he was a training coordinator and also was a shift engineer with AEP in Columbus. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pomeroy.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dixie Circle Sayre; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Hope Sayre of Florida; two stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Lab of Florida; three brothers, James Sayre, Basil Sayre and Randel Sayre, all of Ohio; and four sisters, Garnet Taylor, Mary Jones and Wanda Walden of Clendenin, and Mavis Posa of Akron.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Matthers Sayre; a son, Jeff Sayre; and three brothers, Ohley, David and Clark.
Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pomeroy, with Father Hines officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Cemetery, Reedsville.

Dorothy Swiger
Died: Sunday, July 1, 2001
COOLVILLE -- Dorothy A. Swiger, 59, died Sunday, July 1, 2001. She was born May 11, 1942, in Boston, Mass.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Rivera; her husband, Donald; a son, Brian Swiger; and four daughters, Deborah and Christine Swiger, Tammy Butler and Julie Herod.
Services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., at White-Moquin Funeral Home, Coolville. Burial will be in Torch Cemetery.

Eileen Zinn

RAY -- Eileen V. Clary Zinn, 72, of Ray, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
Born March 28, 1929, in Londonderry, she was the daughter of the late Sidney E. and Olivia Ratcliff Clary.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow E. Zinn; children Barbara Hartsough, Irene Albright, Marsha Thacker, Susan Albright, and Roger and Gerald Hartsough.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Garrett Funeral Home in McArthur. Burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery.

Edna Duncan
Died: Saturday, June 30, 2001
GLOUSTER -- Edna M. Duncan, 76, of Glouster, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville.
Born Sept. 23, 1924, in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Lillie Spears Koon.
She is survived by sons Cloyd Koon and Allen Duncan; and daughters Deloris Landon, Audrey Bobo and Janice Tompkins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Duncan.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Glouster. Burial will be in Glouster Cemetery.

ATHENS -- Perry Hill, 66, of Athens, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, W.Va.
Born March 9, 1935, in Guernsey County, he was the son of the late John B. and Alice Ora Fulton Hill.

Kenneth Reynolds

HOCKINGPORT -- Kenneth Reynolds, 62, of Hockingport, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
He was born Aug. 22, 1938, son of Pearl Everson Reynolds and the late George Reynolds.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Milford Kimes Reynolds; two daughters, Kelly Dusky and Lisa Vogelsong; and a son, Kevin Reynolds.
Services will be Friday, 1 p.m., at Eden United Brethren Church, Reedsville.

Herbert Sudlow

LOGAN -- Herbert E. Sudlow, 87, of Logan, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in Clinton, Conn.
Born Aug. 18, 1913, in Haydenville, he was the son of the late Homer K. and Laura E. Patton Sudlow.
He is survived by sons Timothy B., Herbert R. and David N. Sudlow; and a daughter, Shirley Maureen Plant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Jackson Sudlow.
Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at New Life Christian Center, Lancaster. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.
Sam Butcher
Died: Monday, July 2, 2001
ATHENS -- William Samuel Butcher, 70, of Athens, a former resident of Stewart Route 1, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
Born July 16, 1930, in Athens County, he was the son of the late the Rev. Lewis and Elsie Tabler Butcher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Floyd Butcher.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lela Parsons Butcher of Athens; three sons, Mike (Rebecca) Butcher of Port Clinton, Joe (Rosemary) Butcher of Athens and Christopher Butcher of Lancaster; two grandsons, Ian and Tyler; three granddaughters, Gillian, Katelyn and Iris; two brothers, John Butcher of Zanesville and Mark Butcher of Guysville; and four sisters, Alice Curtis of Athens, Irene Lucas of Guysville, Madge Stewart of Athens and Zelma Hill of Guysville.
He retired in 1985 from the U.S. Department of Agriculgure Soil Conservation Service, served on the Federal Hocking Local School Board for 17 years, was a member of Lathrope Mission in Sharpsburg, and was a graduate of Rome-Canaan High School.
Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Monty Hurst officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
