LONG BOTTOM -- Jack R. Carroll, 75, of Long Bottom, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at his residence.
Born Feb. 27, 1927, in Ashland, Ky., he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Arthur Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Mary Carroll, and a son, Robin Carroll.
Services will be Friday, 1 p.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville. Burial will be in South Point Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Betty Marie Goodall
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 76
MIDDLEPORT -- Betty Marie Goodall, 76, of Middleport, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
Born June 20, 1926, in Hobson, she was the daughter of the late Otto Mulford and Phyllis Kennedy Mulford.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Goodall; and children, Janice Neutzling and Rebecca Matthew.
Services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Julia H. Kroner
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 92
YOUNGSTOWN -- Julia H. Kroner, 92, of Youngstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.,
Mrs. Kroner was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Hubbard. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Stavisisak Kovach.
She is survived by three sons, Dr. John Kroner of Athens, and Charles and James Kroner. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Kroner.
Services will be Saturday, at 9:15 a.m., at Wasko Funeral Home, Campbell, and at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

LOGAN -- Donald Ray Lytle, 75, of Logan, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in Columbus.
Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Hocking County, he was the son of the late Lester and Goldie E. Tigner Lytle.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Irene Durant Lytle; sons Carl Edward Sr., Bruce Allan and William Scott Lytle; and daughters Sue Ellen Sparks, Carla Riches and Mary Anne Copenhaver.
Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan. Burial will be in New Fairview Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Norman O. Weber
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 80
COOLVILLE -- Norman O. Weber, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, W.Va.
Born June 9, 1922, in Keno, he was the son of the late Peter and Vida Myers Weber. He was a union operator, a superintendent for the Meigs County Department of Transportation, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the CCC, Operating Engineers Union, Shade River Lodge, Athens County Shrine Club, Hickory Hills Church of Christ and Tuppers Plains VFW. He was an avid ham radio operator.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Larkins Weber; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Judy Weber of Tuppers Plains, and Keith and Marcella Weber of Chester; a daughter and son-in-law, Vida and Doug Johnson of South Charleston, W.Va.; three sisters, Doris Koenig of Pomeroy, Wilma Haught of Leesburg, Fla., and Barbara Sargent of Pomeroy; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Weber.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Long Bottom, with Mike Moore officiating.
Friends may call at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where Masonic services will be conducted at 6.

Shirley Ann West
Died: Tuesday, February 11, 2003
Age: 76
LOGAN -- Shirley Ann West, 76, of Logan, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Logan Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Johnstown, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, James William West.
Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Logan First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery.

Patricia Clark Snow
Died: Tuesday, February 4, 2003
McARTHUR -- Patricia Clark Snow died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Windsong Care Center in Akron. She was 76 and had Alzheimer's disease.
Mrs. Snow was the wife of Kenneth Snow of Akron. She was a graduate of the former McArthur High School, class of 1945, and received her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University, class of 1949. She also completed a program in gerontology at Akron University, which led her to a position of director of patient activities at Wadsworth Health Care Center in Wadsworth for several years. Mrs. Snow was a life member of the University of Akron Chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, the national gerontology society.
She was active in several civic organizations in Akron. She was a volunteer tutor for Copley-Fairlawn City Schools. She volunteered at Summit County Hospice Care Center and the Village at St. Edward. She was a member of the League of Women Voters. While residing with her family in Luxembourg in the 1960s, she was a member of the American Women's Club there, and served a term as president. As a tireless defender of environmental and land-conservation causes, Mrs. Snow frequently addressed zoning issues at municipal meetings and in letters to the editor. She was a member of the Southern Ohio Forestland Association. She also was a member of the Goodyear Camping Club. During World War II, she served as a civilian observer for the U.S. Army Air Force.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Snow of Columbus and Eric Snow of Akron; a daughter, Bridget Gershman of Warwick, R.I.; and a granddaughter, Tamar Snow Gershman.
Thomas James Quick
Died: Wednesday, February 13, 2002
Age: 91
COLUMBUS -- Thomas James Quick, 91, of Westminster-Thurber, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2002.
Born in Athens County, he resided in Columbus and Stuart, Fla., most of his life. He was a member, elder and trustee of Brookwood Presbyterian Church in Columbus and an associate member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart.
He had bachelors and masters degrees in education from Ohio University, and an honorary doctorate of education from Rio Grande University. He was a former assistant state superintendent of Ohio schools, former president of Rio Grande University and past president of Ohio School Administrators, National Rural Education Association and National County and Regional Superintendents.
He is survived by his wife of more than 68 years, Irene (nee McVay) Quick; children Donald James Quick of Gahanna and Anita Ann Wesney of Greenwich, Conn.; grandchildren Leanne Quick Smith of Pewaukee, Wisc., Leslie Quick Tanchevski of New Albany, Douglas Wesney of Essex, Conn., and Thomas Wesney of Greenwich, Conn.; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gene Paul Quick; parents James S. and Lizzie Jackson Quick; and sisters Margaret Cottrill and Mildred Chapman.
Friends may call today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, where services will be Monday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Thomas J. Mori officiating. Interment will be in Glen Rest Cemetery, Reynoldsburg.
