ATHENS -- Harold Drumm, 45, of Athens, died Feb. 14, 2003, at Arcadia Nursing Home, Coolville.
Born Oct. 8, 1957, in Athens, he was the son of Edna Mae Karnes.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Drumm of Albany and Rhonda Drumm of Athens; a son, Jason Drumm of Athens; two grandchildren, William Glover and Marshall Douglas; and two sisters, Tammy of Athens and Judy of The Plains.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Hudnell; a niece, Tina Hudnell; and a nephew, Randy Hudnell.
Services will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens, with Dwight Umbel officiating. Burial will be in Hanning Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Earl Junior Lego
Died: Friday, February 14, 2003
Age: 63
McARTHUR -- Earl Junior Lego, 63, of Route 683 McArthur, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at his home.
Born June 23, 1938, in Jackson, he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle Lego. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans of Jackson and Air National Guard.
He is survived by brothers, David Newman of Coalton and John Lego of Pomeroy; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Howel.
Services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at J.P. Rogers Funeral Home in Wellston, with minister Leon Mays officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Mary Ellen Mingus
Died: Friday, February 14, 2003
Age: 82
NELSONVILLE -- Mary Ellen Mingus, 82, of Nelsonville, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville.
Born July 24, 1920, in Athens County, she was a daughter of the late Delbert and Helen Davis Ogg. She was a 1938 graduate of Amesville High School, and a member of Nelsonville First United Methodist Church, Emblem Club 97 and O.E.S. 72 for over 60 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Bailey of Nelsonville, Ruth Ellen (Kenneth) Pinney of Logan, Phyllis Ann Pepin of Santa Fe, N.M., and Helen (Greg) Frank of Nelsonville; a son, Joe Mingus of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren Joe Bailey, Tony Mingus, Derek Pepin, Scott (Katie) Frank, Christine (John) Conyer, Rebecca Jane Bailey and friend Jimmie Warren, Kimberly Pinney and Danielle Frank; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Dorothy (Richard) Hoffman of Hastings, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William J. Mingus; a brother, Charles; and a sister, Catherine Ogg.
No services will be held, and no calling hours will be observed. The family will meet and greet people for a social time together at a later date. Mrs. Mingus' cremains will be interred in Alaska.

Hubert F. Nye
Died: Friday, February 14, 2003
Age: 88
TRUETOWN -- Hubert F. Nye, 88, of Truetown, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 23, 1914, in Chauncey, he was the son of the late George W. and Alice M. France Nye.
He is survived by his wife, Fern Barrett Nye of Truetown, to whom he was married for 61 years. Hubert served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired trucker, a member of Millfield Christian Church and American Legion Post 414 of Glouster, and was an avid gardener.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Hubert F. (Wilma) Nye of Columbus and Don C. Nye of Millfield; a daughter, Patty (Earl) Davis of Trimble; nine grandchildren, Brent Nye, Debbie Ward, Tim Nye, Chuck Davis, Sheryl Davis, Sherry Davis, Ryan Nye, Neil Nye and Matthew Nye; a brother, Carlos Nye of Rockbridge; a sister, Sarah Linscott of Hooper Ridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Kate (Gerald) Wiseman of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, James and Donald Nye; five sisters, Lucy Gard, Pauline White, Martha Lang, Leah Love and Virgene Pierce.
A memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements will be announced by Cardaras Funeral Home in Glouster.
Lelah Holzapfel
Died: Tuesday, May 14, 2002
WELLSTON -- Lelah Mae Holzapfel, 78, of Wellston, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at her home.
Born July 27, 1923, in Wellston, she was the daughter of the late William Albert and Verna DeWitt Martin. She is survived by daughters Gloria Morris and Linda Apple.
Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Jenkins Funeral Home, Wellston. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Anna Bobo
Died: Monday, May 13, 2002
SHADE -- Anna Catherine Bobo, 83, of Chillicothe, died Monday morning, May 13, 2002, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Born Dec. 13, 1918, in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late John Milton and Carrie "Kate" Hawk Chappell. She was married March 27, 1937, to Robert A. Bobo, who survives.
Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Robert Gary and Sue Bobo of Powell, and Phillip and Janie Bobo of Chillicothe; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Fred Seymour of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren, Cindy (Bob) Rhoads, Scott Edwards, Rob (Teresa) Bobo, Laura Bobo, Krin (Tim) Woodbridge, Kelli (Tom) Kitchen, Kara Bobo, and Brad and Gabe Seymour; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kristy Edwards, Andrew Rhoads, Hannah and Christian Bobo, and Taylor and Brady Woodbridge; two nieces, Verda (John) Jones of Athens and Claudette (Don) Boscowan of Florida; and a nephew, Robert (Janice) Chappell of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Charles "Hase," Joseph, Claudis and Cleutis Chappell; and three infant sisters, Luella, Mary and Carrie.
Mrs. Bobo was a member of First United Methodist Church and its Naomi Ruth Circle.
Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Dr. Dana Hakes and Rev. Raymond Welch officiating. Burial will be in Shade Methodist Cemetery Thursday at about 12:30.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Bill Seyfried

GALLIPOLIS -- W.G. Bill Seyfried, 93, of 1099 Teadora Ave., Gallipolis, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Scenic Hills Nursing Center, Gallipolis.
Born Oct. 15, 1907, in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late William and Katharine Riber Seyfried.
He is survived by sons, Junior W. Sy and Robert E. Seyfried.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Eichinger Seyfried.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will be in Rocksprings Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., where Masonic services will be held at 7:30.
Clyda Eastman
Died: Friday, July 20, 2001
MIDDLEPORT -- Funeral services for Clyda M. Taylor Eastman, 57, of Lewis Center, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Fisher-Acree Funeral Home, Middleport.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Eastman died Friday, July 20, 2001, at Lewis Center. She was born Aug. 18, 1943, in Meigs County, daughter of the late John Allen and Hazel C. Gaffney Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Don; a daughter, Elizabeth Amstutz; and a son, Brian.
Martha Maze
Died: Friday, July 20, 2001
ATHENS -- Martha Beckner Maze, 87, formerly of Toledo, left her family and friends on July 20, 2001, in Athens. She was the last surviving member of the immediate family of David L. and Katie Cain Beckner.
Born in the Parkersburg, W.Va., area of Rusk, she graduated from Cairo High School in 1933.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, nine brothers and a half-sister; and her husband of 61 years, Glenn W. Maze, in July 1995.
She is survived by a son, David G. Maze, and his wife, Bonita, of The Plains; two grandchildren, Brian Maze and Andrea Higley; and two great-grandchildren, Samantha Lyn and Cara Marie, all of Columbus. Very close to her were special nieces and nephews. She was blessed to have many friends to care for her in recent years, especially Carol Smith, Marsha Sherick and Norma Smoot.
Mrs. Maze was a lifelong Methodist and a member since 1955 of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Toledo. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Alton, Ill.
She was a devoted wife and mother for her family. She cared for others and enjoyed having people of all ages around her. Her loving smile is missed by her family and friends.
Family visitation will be held today at Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 7th St., Parkersburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services at the funeral home will be conducted Monday, at 10 a.m., by the Rev. David G. Maze. Burial will follow in the Beckner family cemetery in Cisco, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4030 Douglas Road, Toledo 43613; or to Hospice in the donor's community.
