POMEROY Ð Irene Morris, 75, of Chambers Road, Pomeroy, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at her residence.
Born Sept. 28, 1927, in Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Pearl W. and Gladys Dilcher Reeves. She was a housewife.
She is survived by a son, Wallace (Connie) Morris of Racine; two daughters, Rebecca Runnion of Plant City, Fla. and Diana Hendrick of Dundas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Dixon of Pageville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Monroe Morris; a daughter, Stella Blessing; three brothers and a sister.
Services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, with Pastor Mark McComas officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

LOGAN -- Ricky S. Walston, 43, of Logan, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at his residence.
Born Jan. 7, 1960, in Columbus, he was the son of Stanley B. and Norma Laubensheimer Walston.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette L. Griffith Walston; sons Rick and Brandon E. Walston; and a daughter, Joleanna Walston.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, 3 p.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 30180 Blosser Road, Logan. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours.

Hilda Kathryn Baum Carnahan

LONG BOTTOM -- Hilda Kathryn Baum Carnahan, 99, of 48440 Riebel Road, Long Bottom, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at her residence.
Born April 7, 1903, in Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Torrence Baum.
She is survived by children Mary Jeanne Ritz, Dolores Hartness, Maurice W. Carnahan, Robert D. Carnahan, Robert D. Carnahan and Larry "Pete" Carnahan.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Delbert Carnahan; a daughter, Betty Carnahan; sisters Clara and Mildred; and brothers Carl, Raymond and Delmar.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Ewing Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Wilcoxen

CUTLER -- Dorothy M. Wilcoxen, 80, of Wilcoxen Road, Cutler, died early Sunday morning, Feb. 23, 2003, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1922, in Stewart, she was the daughter of the late Harry Cecil and Cleo Featherston Meek. She was a homemaker, a nurses aide for Fairview Nursing Home in Beverly and a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Sam (Janet) Wilcoxen, Kenneth Wilcoxen and Bob (Rosa) Wilcoxen, all of Butler; two daughters, Elaine (Sam) Ashley of Pleasant City and Bonnie Beach of Athens; nine grandchildren, Julia Ashley, Louis Ashley, Johanna Hugby, Christina Beach, Bethany Beach, Dawn Buckweld, Autumn Wilcoxen, Jessica Wilcoxen and Sam Wilcoxen; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Orville Nice of Orrville; and two sisters, Gretta Graham of Pleasant City and Winifred Lehman of Naples, Fla.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Sam Wilcoxen; a daughter, Lelila Candis; a grandson, Brian Beach; a sister, Wilma Meek; and three brothers, Francis, Clarence and Chester Meek.
Services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home, Chesterhill, with the Rev. Helen Kline officiating. Burial will be in Bartlett Cemetery.

LOGAN -- Veda R. Bachus, 82, of Logan, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Born Oct. 19, 1920, in Wesley, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Willis and Cora Drake Duncan. She was the widow of the late John L. Bachus.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with buria in Ebenezer Cemetery.

COLUMBUS -- Dorothy Ball, 96, of Columbus, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003.
Born Dec. 24, 1906, in The Plains, she was the daughter of the late George Ball and Fannie Ball Ehrenfeld.
Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Rutherford Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery, Athens.

Lou Ann Fouty

Age: 70
NELSONVILLE -- Lou Ann Fouty, 70, of Nelsonville, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville, following a long illness.
Born July 10, 1932, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Dunkle Farrow. She was a member of Nelsonville Emblem Club 97 and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7174 of The Plains. She was a former employee of Doctors Hospital and retired from there in 1995 after 27 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Fouty; five children, Linda (Jim) Stumbo, Brenda (Don) Powell, Bill (Noreen Vamos) Gretz, Dave (Sheryl Johnson) Gretz and Debbie (Steve) Rideout; two stepdaughters, Tammy (George) Lauer and Vickie (Marty) Hallett; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald R. (Jeanne) Farrow.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Phillipp; a grandson, Robert Kasler; and her former husband, Babe Gretz.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn new addition, Nelsonville.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial services will be conducted by VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7174 at 7 p.m. and by Nelsonville Emblem Club 97 at 7:30, both Tuesday at the funeral home.

PORTSMOUTH -- Margaret Caulley, 99, of Portsmouth, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Jenkins Memorial Health Facility, Wellston.
Born in Wellston, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Ghearing Clark. She is survived by a son, Leon Caulley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Caulley; an infant son, Lowell E.; and a young son, Roger Lee.
Services will be Sunday, 2 p.m., at J.P. Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Marcella L. Chapman

POMEROY -- Marcella L. Chapman, 88, of Pomeroy, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Holzer Medical Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1915, in Clifton, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Herman and Jessie VanMeter Cartwright. She is survived by 10 children, Leroy, Robert, Joe, Stephen, James and Brent Chapman, Linda Young, Brenda Fry, Viki Payne and Tim Oldaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. Chapman.
Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Full Gospel Lighthouse Church, Pomeroy. Burial will be in Suncrest Cemetery, Pt. Pleasant, W.Va.
