REEDSVILLE -- Lola W. Barber, 103, of Reedsville, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Overbrook Nursing Center, Middleport.
Born June 16, 1899, in Reedsville, she was the daughter of the late Jaspher and Laura Tribblett Reed. She was a homemaker and attended Eden United Brethren Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Miles of Pomeroy and Thelma Smith of Middleport; three sons, Jerry Barber of Montana, Kenneth Barber of Hebron and Ronald Barber of Reedsville; a brother, Kenny Reed of Coolville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Margaret Buckley and Mary Belle Rowles; and three sons, Wilbur Barber, Gladden Barber and Francis Barber.
Services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Reedsville.

Harold R. Brown

Age: 79
LOGAN -- Harold R. Brown, 79, of Logan, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Logan Health Care Center.
Born July 29, 1923, in Hocking County, he was the son of the late Floyd E. and Lola Sheets Brown. He is survived by his wife, Elsie I. Blackstone Brown.
Services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bremen.

Tori Christina Rae Sparks
Died: Sunday, January 12, 2003
WELLSTON -- Tori Christina Rae Sparks, infant daughter of Johnny Ray Sparks and Kelly Henry Beatty of Wellston, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at University Hospital, Columbus. She was born Jan. 11, 2003.
Graveside services will be Thursday, 1 p.m., at Ridgewood Cemetery.
Arrangements are by McWilliams Funeral Home, Wellston.
Bernice Irene Tinkham
Died: Sunday, January 12, 2003
Age: 87
THE PLAINS -- Bernice Irene Tinkham, 87, of Millfield, formerly of The Plains, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 12, 2003, at Logan Health Care Center.
Born Sept. 6, 1915, in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Forrest and Clara Willard Metcalf. A longtime resident of The Plains, she was employed as a nurses aide at Sheltering Arms and O'Bleness Memorial Hospitals in the obstetrics departments.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Robert) Kyle of Coshocton and Peggy (George) Bateman of Millfield; four grandchildren, James and Christina Kyle of Coshocton and Jennifer and Jimmy Bateman of Millfield; a great-grandchild, Brody Brightwell of Coshocton; a sister, Eleanor Jean Kimbell of McArthur; and a brother, Roy Edward Metcalf of Rockford, Ill.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Tinkham, in 1981; three sisters, Annabelle Metcalf, Iva Mae Wilson and Clarice Pond; and three brothers, Forrest, Paul and Clyde Metcalf.
Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. William Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.

Tillie Jane Clark

WELLSTON -- Tillie Jane Clark, 46, of Wellston, died at her home on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003.
She was the daughter of Maxine Brown of Wellston and the late Frank "Sag" Brown. She also is survived by her husband, Bob Clark, and daughters Erica and Mandy.
A memorial service and dinner will be Sunday, 2 p.m., at the Danny Holtz Memorial Building, South Ohio Avenue, Wellston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

JACKSON -- Delcia Mae Hamilton, 62, of Big Rapids, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Born May 17, 1940, in Jackson, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Carpenter Denney. She is survived by children Kevin Denney, Sue Hastings, Joyce Hamilton and Tammy Garrod.

Born Oct. 10, 1931, in Nelsonville, she was the daughter of the late Denver and Leona Anderson Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Thomas Miller.
Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home. Logan. Burial will be in Ebeneezer Baptist Cemetery.

HAYDENVILLE -- Betty Springer Keeton, 77, of Coldwater, Miss., formerly of Haydenville, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Baptist Desoto Hospital, Southhaven, Miss.
Born Oct. 10, 1925, in Wheelersburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Henry and Ella Campbell Springer. She is survived by children Charlene Niave, Mary Ann Pender, Juanita LeSuer, Connie Marie Keeley and Jesse Henry Keeton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Keeton.
Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur. Burial will be in Keeton Cemetery, Vinton County.

George N. Stephenson III

ATHENS -- George N. Stephenson III, 42, of Hunt County, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, in Hunt County.
Born May 1, 1960, in Columbus, he was the son of George and Sue Clark Stephenson of San Antonio, Texas.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sons, George N. Stephenson IV of New York and Stevie Ray Stephenson of Dallas, Texas; and a brother, James B. Stephenson, in the U.S. Army in Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Sue Stephenson, on June 8, 1964.
Graveside services will be held Friday, noon, at West Union Street Cemetery, with Pastor Mary Jo Yeakel officiating.
Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, Athens.
Delbert W. Campbell Sr.
Died: Friday, January 10, 2003
Age: 77
FRAZEYSBURG -- Delbert W. "Dub" Campbell, Sr., 77, of Nashport, Ohio, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at his residence.
Mr. Campbell was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Longstreth. He was a coal miner for over 20 years.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Anna Lee (Lanning) Campbell; a son, Wayne (Martha) Campbell of Nashport; a daughter, Kathy (Don) Jenkins of Nashport; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers Russell Campbell and Virgil Campbell of Nelsonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clell and Naomi (Lee) Campbell; two sisters and six brothers.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third St., Frazeysburg.
Services will be at Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chester Sidle officiating. Burial will follow in Hanover Cemetery.
