Carrie Jean Bradshaw, 22, of Blanchester, died Saturday (May 25, 2002) in Wayne Township.
She was born Feb. 27, 1980, in Cincinnati, daughter of Don and Judy Bradshaw of Blanchester. She was a member of the Edenton Baptist Church. She graduated in 1998 from Blanchester High School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Stephanie Oglesby of Ft. Myers, Fla., Paula Smith of Milford and Jennifer Bradshaw of Blanchester; and a niece, Haley Smith.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1668 SR 28, Goshen, Pastor Mitch Bradshaw and Pastor Tim Bradshaw officiating, with burial in Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Charles Henry Hancock
Died: Saturday, May 25, 2002
Age: 79
Charles Henry Hancock, 79, of Huber Heights, died early Saturday morning (May 25, 2002) at the Integrated Health Services in Huber Heights. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Turner Hancock. They were married Nov. 18, 1949, in Xenia.
Mr. Hancock was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Hillsboro, son of the late John H. and Madge Edith Day Hancock. He had retired after 40 years of service as a dietitian for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 526 in Fairborn, a member of the Church of Revelation and attended the Faith Tabernacle in Xenia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Charles Michael (Debbie) Hancock of Huber Heights, Richard Allen Hancock of Huber Heights, Thurman (Christy) Hancock of Huber Heights and Donald Eugene (Rita) Hancock of Dayton; a stepson, Larry J. (Lenora) Banks of Columbus; four daughters, Sandra Beth Hancock and her fiance Greg of Moraine, Sondra (Vince) Brown of Huber Heights, Charma Ann Hancock and her fiance Tony of Columbus and Charlotte (Frank) McClain of Huber Heights; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jennie Glenn of Xenia and Venus Jackson of Wilmington; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Ervin Hancock and Harold Day; and three sisters, Christine Turner, Edith Rockhold and Lula Mae Woody.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the TURNER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 602 N. High St., Hillsboro, Bishop Charles Hancock and Pastor John Maggard officiating, with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens, where military honors will be accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Flossie E. Brooks
Died: Wednesday, May 22, 2002
Age: 94
Flossie E. Brooks, 94, formerly of Wilmington, died Wednesday (May 22, 2002) in the Montgomery Care Center of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Evans, who died in 1938, and her second husband, Joe Brooks, who died in 1963.
Mrs. Brooks was born Nov. 10, 1907, in McDowell County, W.Va., daughter of the late Wade and Rebecca Christian Beavers. She formerly attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Wilmington and was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Xenia.
She is survived by three sons, Leonard M. (Maggie Price) Evans of South Charleston, James E. (Barbara) Evans of Xenia and Ray E. (Ann) Evans of Wilmington; two daughters, Faye P. (Jack) Flynn of Sharonville and Lorraine (Dick) Fite of West Chester; a daughter-in-law, Freda Evans of Wilmington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a half sister, Tilly Raynor; and six half brothers, Norman, Emitt, Thurman, Kinzer, Everett and Jay Beavers.
In addition to her first husband, second husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy, and three sons, Jemes, Charles C. and Robert S. Evans.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina, with burial in the Sabina Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Joyce R. Cunnagin

Joyce R. Cunnagin, 69, of Goshen Township, died Wednesday (May 22, 2002) at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cunnagin.
Mrs. Cunnagin was born July 9, 1932, in Mummy, Ky., daughter of the late Rueben and Lois Feltner Baker. She had retired from Avon.
She is survived by two daughters, Ethel (Gary) Mick and Edith Y. Cunnagin, both of Blanchester; a sister, Maude Evans of San Leandro, Calif.; and two brothers, Phil Baker of Annville, Ky., and Bruce (Thelma) Baker of Loveland.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Kathryn Brooks Alexander

Age: 84
Kathryn Brooks Alexander, 84, of Wilmington, died 5:16 a.m. Monday (May 20, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. She is survived by her husband, Press Alexander. They were married March 3, 1944.
Mrs. Alexander was born April 10, 1918, in Williamsburg, Ind., daughter of the late Archibald and Chloe Johnson Brooks. She was a member of the Chester Friends Meeting. She graduated in 1937 from Williamsburg High School in Indiana.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Stewart (Lynn) Alexander of Wilmington; a daughter, Sarah (French) Hatfield of LaFollette, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Tara (Chad) Mason of Sabina and Ryan Alexander of Wilmington; a great-grandchild, Chloe Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Albert Brooks, and three sisters, Marjorie McIntire, Charlotte Stackhouse and Helen Hunt.

Josephine Miller

Age: 59
Josephine Miller, 59, of 40 N. High St., Martinsville, died 4:21 p.m. Monday (May 20, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. She is survived by her husband, Buddie Miller. they were married July 27, 1959.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Berrnsville, Ky., daughter of the late Harold and Neola Gibson Meade. She was a member of the Martinsville Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Chrystal Schutte of Port William, Marsha Shelton of Martinsville, Stephanie Swearingen of Martinsville and Lorrie (Keith) Siau of Martinsville; two brothers, Cecil (Beulah) Meade of Martinsville and James (Judy) Meade of Peebles; a sister, Norma Stanforth of Wilmington; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Meade, and a great-grandson, Dwayne Alan Scarberry.

Delores Ann Surritt

Age: 67
Delores Ann Surritt, 67, of Washington Court House, died late Monday (May 20, 2002) at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus. She is survived by her husband, Andrew W. Surritt Sr. of Washington Court House.
Mrs. Surritt was born March 20, 1935, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Harry Clayton Michaels and Francis Ellen Bradshaw.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Andrew Wesley (Anita) Surritt Jr. of South Salem; a daughter, Merri (Mark) Storts of South Salem; a sister, Phyllis Camp of Washington Court House; a brother, Dennis (Evelyn) Michaels of Union; and five grandchildren, Andrew W. Surritt III, June Ellen Surritt, Megan Ann Storts, Kaitlin Storts and Abigail Mae Storts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, three brothers and a grandson.

Alexander Fulton

Alexander Fulton was stillborn Sunday (May 19, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington, to J.C. and Joey Fulton of Wilmington.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Janine Wallace of Wilmington; a paternal grandmother, Carol (Mike Forbes) Turner of Wilmington; a paternal grandfather, Harry (Deborah) Fulton of Pleasant Plain; a maternal great-grandmother, Anna Marlene Cherryholmes of Wilmington; a paternal great-grandmother, Mattie Turner of Wilmington; a paternal great-grandfather, William (Mattie) Wallace of Peebles; and numerous loving uncles and aunts.
Private graveside services were held Thursday at Springfield Friends Cemetery, Pastor John Blount officiating, with burial following services. Arrangements are under the direction of FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington.
