Audrey Jean Everidge, 68, of Blanchester, died Friday (March 8, 2002) at Continental Manor, Blanchester. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Lee Everidge of Blanchester.
Mrs. Everidge was born May 24, 1933, in Cincinnati, daughter of the late Claude Sutton and Viola Schewitzer. She was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Terry Lee Couch Sr. of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren, Terry Jr., Robby and Jason; and a great-grandchild, Kyrie Couch.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Woodville Baptist Church, Woodville, Brother Bill Webb officiating. Visitation was from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester.
Evelyn Ione Grossnickle
Died: Friday, March 8, 2002
Age: 94
Evelyn Ione Grossnickle, 94, of Blanchester, died Friday (March 8, 2002) at Continental Manor, Blanchester. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Grossnickle and Francis Grossnickle.
Mrs. Grossnickle was born July 17, 1907, in Marathon, daughter of the late Edgar S. Slater and Sarah Jane Malott.
She is survived by a daughter, Pauline (Dutch) Stackhouse of Goshen; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Lawrence, Earl S. and Keith Grossnickle; six brothers; and a sister.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ron Slater officiating, with burial in Edenton Cemetery, Edenton. Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blanchester Senior Citizens, 707 N. Broadway, Blanchester, 45107.
Stanley Eugene "Buck" Irwin
Died: Friday, March 8, 2002
Age: 80
Stanley Eugene Buck Irwin, 80, of Clinton County, died 10:03 a.m. Friday (March 8, 2002) at the Senior Health Care, Wilmington. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Creek Irwin, who died in 1977. He is survived by his second wife, Lillian Hazelbaker Irwin.
Mr. Irwin was born April 8, 1921, in New Vienna, son of the late John and Eva Barnes Irwin. He served on the Wilmington Police Department from 1951 to 1973, retiring as chief of police. After retirement, he drove a semi for Aetna from 1973 to 1976, and later he worked as a security guard for the Randall Company. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1224 and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He attended the New Vienna School.
In addition to his second wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy Irwin of Wilmington and Stanley (Melody) Irwin of Buford; two stepsons, Roger (Alice) Hazelbaker of Florida and Gary (Sandy) Hazelbaker of Martinsville; four daughters, Sharon (Terry) Garrison of Florida, Lois (Mike) Horsley of Chillicothe, Peggy (Kenneth) Danes of Wilmington and Janet (Tim) Goldie of Wilmington; three brothers, Leland (Lillian) Irwin of Martinsville, Robert (Mary) Irwin of Wilmington and George (Wanda) Irwin of Florida; two sisters, Mamie (Harry) Runyon of Enon and Mary Hazelbaker of Florida; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his first wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Estel and Paul Irwin; and four sisters, Iva Rose, Marlynn Stone, Blanch Irwin and Edith Steele.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial in the New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
Donald Eugene Jackson
Died: Thursday, March 7, 2002
Age: 80
Donald Eugene Jackson, 80, of Blanchester, died Thursday (March 7, 2002) at Bethesda North Hospital, Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Daye Jackson, who died Aug. 17, 1999.
Mr. Jackson was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Woodville, son of the late Homer W. Jackson and Eva L. Snyder.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth (Ellen) Jackson of Blanchester; four brothers, Irwin Jackson of Blanchester; Junior Jackson of Loveland; Robert Jackson of Woodville and Dean Jackson of Blanchester; three sisters, Donna Gallimore of Wilmington, Betty Lower of Blanchester and Joan Norton of Blanchester; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ryan Bevan officiating, with burial in Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rachel Kennedy

Age: 81
Rachel Kennedy, 81, of Waynesville, died Monday (March 4, 2002) at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Kennedy.
Mrs. Kennedy was born June 26, 1920, in Morrow, daughter of the late Orville and Mary Ethel Knowlton Barnhart.
She is survived by a son, Steven A. (Becky) Kennedy of Rotonda West, Fla.; a brother, Russell Barnhart of Medway; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Joe) Walls of Ringold, Ga., Judson (Jeni) Kennedy of Ringold, Ga., and Travis Kennedy of Loveland; a step-granddaughter, Keely of Florida; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Eugene Bennett of Franklin, Richard Bennett of Cincinnati, Marietta Stewart of Xenia, Virginia Drake of Huber Heights, Mike Barnhart of Medway, Robert Omlor of Cincinnati, Michelle Kramer of Cincinnati, Mary Kraus of Aurora, Ind., Anita Perdue of Waynesville, Deanna Doak of Wilmington and Janice Kinderman of New Vienna; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Bennett Gordon, Bernice Onlor and E. Jeanette Campbell; and a nephew, Russell Bennett Jr.
A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Thursday at FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Harry Harvill of the Blanchester Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating, with burial in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. William E. Buckley
Died: Sunday, March 3, 2002
Age: 82
William E. Buckley, 82, of Wilmington, died Sunday (March 3, 2002) at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmington. He is survived by his wife, Reba Buckley of Wilmington. They were married March 28, 1947.
Mr. Buckley was born April 21, 1919, in Xenia, son of the late Stephen Parker and Marietta Weer Buckley. He was a member of the First Christian Church -- Disciples of Christ, The Wilmington Masonic Lodge F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati, Order of Eastern Star in which he had been worthy patron and was a Kentucky colonel. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the Wilmington American Legion and the V.F.W. Following his discharge from the military, he studied accounting at Miami Jacobs College, Dayton, for a year and then went to work for Dayton Power and Light Company. He eventually worked for Irwin Auger Bit as a tool maker until his retirement in 1982.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Parker (Carol Young) Buckley of Springfield; a grandson, Aaron Parker Buckley of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Ruthanna Buckley of Sabina; a nephew, Nicholas (Joyce) Buckley of Lexington, Ky.; and two half-nephews, Bruce (Virginia) Buckley of Wilmington and James (Nancy) Buckley of Wilmington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Ben R. Buckley, and a half brother, Karl Buckley.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Thursday at FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Pastor Donald K. Mertz officiating, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, where the American Legion Memorial Squad accorded full military honors. William Burton Lathram
Died: Sunday, March 3, 2002
Age: 66
William Burton Lathram, 66, of Lynchburg, died Sunday morning (March 3, 2002) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington, Ky. He is survived by his wife, Mary. They were married in Indiana on Nov. 12, 1960.
Mr. Lathram was born June 13, 1935, in Owingsville, Ky., son of the late Albert M. and Ruth Honaker Lathram. He had retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lori (Jeff) Chaney of Lynchburg; a son, William A. (Lisa) Lathram of Villa Hills, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brendan and Trent Chaney, and Jacob, Eleanor and William Lathram.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Helen Lathram Brown.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the DAVIS-TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 201 Broadway St., Lynchburg, Bob Stevens officiating, with burial in Dunn's Chapel Cemetery. John Wesley Pinkerton

Age: 81
John Wesley Pinkerton, 81, of Wilmington, died Sunday (March 3, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His wife, Grace Pinkerton of Wilmington, survives. They were married June 9, 1956, in Pikeville, Ky.
Mr. Pinkerton was born July 26, 1920, in Van Lear, Ky., son of the late John Wesley and Emma Chandler Pinkerton. He was a member of the Wilmington Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an elder. He was also a member of the Van Lear, Ky., Masonic Lodge, where he had received his 50-year pin. He was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati. He received a degree in education from the University of Kentucky, and a library science degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He had worked for Wilmington College as a cataolguer in the library.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a grandson, Charles William (Kristina) Bayer of Indianapolis, Ind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joycelyn Lorraine Busler; two brothers, Charles Pinkerton and Dallas Pinkerton; and a sister, Charlene Baldridge.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Dr. G. David Hawley officiating, with interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of the services Friday at the funeral home.
