Age: 73
Leota Lee May Hiles, 73, of 713 S. Hinde St., Washington Court House, died Wednesday evening (Feb. 19, 2003) at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Hiles, who died Nov. 22, 2002.
Mrs. Hiles was born Nov. 28, 1929, in South Solon, daughter of the late Samuel A. and Geneva Porter Brown. She was a housewife and an avid bowler in the Friday night league. She attended the Sabina United Methodist Church and the Camden United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Kaye (Garry) Spradlin of Washington Court House and Debbie (Dan) Horning of Huber Heights; a son, James (Karen) Hiles of Virginia; six grandchildren, Jeffery, Cameron and Bobbey Spradlin, Matt (Tonya) Horning, Jacob Gavin and Robert Allen Hiles; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Rinehart and Aryan and Drake Horning; three sisters, Helen Kelley of Washington Court House and Barbara Leach and Nona Ford, both of Sabina; a brother-in-law, Dale Hiles of Sabina; numerous nieces and nephews; a faith pet, Liza; and good friends, Betty Cornell of Washington Court House and Robbie and Ann Robinson of Frankfort.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons; her stepfather, Harvey Stone; a brother, Bob Brown; three sisters, Georgia Merritt, Wilma Rose and Janice Warner; and a sister-in-law, Kermith Hiles.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the SUMMERS FUNERAL HOME, 223 W. Market St., Washington Court House, with Danny Creamer officiating, with burial in the Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Charlotte Gail Mountjoy Younker

Age: 57
Charlotte Gail Mountjoy Younker, 57, of Midland, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. She is survived by her husband, Lester Leroy Younker of Midland. There were married for 38 years.
Mrs. Younker was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Washington Court House, daughter of the late Albert Mountjoy and Anna M. Bounderant.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, David (Melasan) Younker of Blanchester, Lester (Kelli) Younker of Hillsboro, Michael Younker of Bloomingburg and Teresa (Robert) Coil of New Holland; three brothers, Robert Mountjoy of Blanchester, Eugene Mountjoy of Midland and Brian Mountjoy of Blanchester; a sister, Alberta Mountjoy of Sabina; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Mountjoy.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Robert Coil and Terry Rose officiating, with burial in Jefferson Township Cemetery, Westboro. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Beverly June Frohriep
Died: Tuesday, February 18, 2003
Age: 75
Beverly June Frohriep, 75, of Sturgis, Mich., died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) in Sherman Township due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Frohriep, who died June 23, 1963. They were married in Surgis on May 1, 1948.
Mrs. Frohriep was born June 16, 1927, in Garrett, Ind., daughter of the late Omar Austin and Blanche Coral Shafer Dull. She had lived most of her life in Sturgis. She retired from the Kirsch Company in Sturgis, where she had been employed as a secretary to the director of engineering for over 16 years. Following her retirement, she became a secretary at the Commission on Aging. In addition to her working for COA, she was a dedicated volunteer, always ready to help in any way she could. A few of the projects she was instrumental with were the many trips, the monthly dinner out and the annual Christmas party. She graduated with the Class of 1945 from Sturgis High School. She was a long-time member of Professional Secretaries International. She enjoyed researching genealogy on her computer, collecting antique glassware and searching garage sales for the many prizes given at COA events. She loved time spent with her family and many friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Douglas) Abbs of Sturgis, Mich.; a son, Phillip (Jennifer) Frohriep of Blanchester; three grandchildren, Tiffany Abbs, a student at Bowling Green State University, and Karis (Curt) Hamlin of Three Rivers and Phillip Frohriep II of Blanchester; a great-grandson, Blaine Alexander Hamlin; a brother, Thomas S. "Dick" Dull of Okeechobee, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel May Dull, Jessie Lenore Richter, Hazel Coral Dull and Dorothy Maybelle Guy.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held noon Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sturgis, Mich., the Rev. Calvin Kolzow officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Frohriep's memory to the Commission on Aging or the American Cancer Society. Jeffrey Lynn Mowry

Age: 56
Jeffrey Lynn Mowry, 56, of Kettering, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He is survived by his wife, Martha A. Hunt Mowry. They were married for 36 years.
Mr. Mowry was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Middletown, son of the late Robert Mowry and Pauline Frisch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Teresa Lynn Mowry of Kettering; three brothers, Stephen D. Mowry of Wilmington, Thomas R. Mowry of Goshen and Stanley E. Mowry of Brown County; a sister, Linda K. Mowry of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Wayne Mowry, who died in 1995, and a brother, Timothy R. Mowry.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, the Rev. Lawrence Lee "Lark" Collins

Lawrence Lee "Lark" Collins, 61, of Hillsboro, died Monday (Feb. 17, 2003) at the Crestwood Nursing Center.
Mr. Collins was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Hillsboro, son of the late Wendell C. and Martha Kirk Collins.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the TURNER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 602 N. High St., Hillsboro, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Prayer services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Meriam R. Hare
Died: Monday, February 17, 2003
Meriam R. Hare of Wilmington died as a result of natural causes Monday (Feb. 17, 2003) at her home.
She was born daughter of the late Walter Thomas Hare, who died in 1969, and Ruth Fledderjohann Hare, who died in 1974. She was in agribusiness and ran the family farm. The farm was in the family for over 150 years. She was also in real estate development. She was a member of the Kensington Club, Wednesday Book Club, Wilmington Garden Club, National Corn Growers Association, Pork Producers Association, Women for Agriculture, Clinton County Historical Society, the United Methodist Church, League of Women Voters, Wilmington College Board of Trustees and American Association of University Women. She graduated from Stanford University and earned a master's degree from The Ohio State University. She was an avid traveler and a lady of strong character and courage as she lived her life to the fullest.
She is survived by seven first cousins, Ruth Easton, Helen Gilioli, Paul Harlamert, Martha Hockaday, Donna Mosher, Ann Phelps and Robert Tiersch; and many devoted friends.
Funeral services will be a private family service. A memorial services will be held at a later time, with the time and place to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Wilmington College Carillon renovation project or the Clinton Memorial Hospital Foundation for the complimentary medicine program. Robin Kees McKeever

Age: 33
Robin Kees McKeever, 33, of Clarksville, formerly of Wilmington, died unexpectedly Monday (Feb. 17, 2003) in Lebanon.
She was born July 18, 1969, daughter of Robert and Patsy Smiddy Kees of Clarksville. she had attended Little Miami High School and the Warren County Career Center. She participated in activities at the Corwin House in Lebanon.
In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by a brother, Raymond Kyle Kees of Clarksville; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Louise Kees and Anna Mae Smiddy, and an uncle, Kyle Smiddy.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the STINE-KILBURN FUNERAL HOME, 801 Monroe Road, Lebanon, Pastor Don Wahl officiating, with burial in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Imogene Watson

Imogene Watson, 81, of Cedarville, died Friday (Feb. 22, 2002) at her residence.
Mrs. Watson was born March 29, 1920, in Cedarville, daughter of the late Oscar and Sarah Anderson Everhart. She was retired from Vernay Laboratories. She was a member of the Cedarville Church of God and the American Legion Post 544 Auxiliary.
She is survived by seven daughters, Judith Ann Pullins of Springfield, Linda (Roger) Bullen of Fort Myers, Fla., Kaye (Jack) Shidemantle of Springfield, Karen (Gary) Brooks of Sabina, Patty (Earl) Snider of Cedarville, Pam (Larry) Clemons of Sadieville, Ky., and Mary (Dean) Martin of Xenia; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Ayers and Margie Thornburg; two brothers, Oscar Everhart and Wilson Bill Everhart; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Flossie Acton; three brothers, Lawrence, Elvin and Norman; and a special friend, Jesse Hart.
