William Harold Young

Age: 86
William Harold Young, 86, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died 2:41 p.m. Friday (June 14, 2002) at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. He had been at the medical center for six months.
Mr. Young was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Sabina, son of the late Leonard Wiley and Ida May Lynch Young. He farmed for many years before opening Young's Canvas and Upholstery Shop in 1965. Mr. Young served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a 54-year-member of Paul Hughey Post 25 of the American Legion and of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Young loved to go fishing.
Mr. Young is survived by 11 cousins, William Rittenhouse of Washington Court House, James Roberts of Washington Court House, Arnold Rittenhouse of Fort Worth, Texas, Jack Rittenhouse of Sabina, Connie Phillips of Akron, Albertine Kramer of Sabina, Delitha Buckley of Wilmington, Larry Rittenhouse of Hebron, Mae Bentley of Springfield, Lois Carmen Dabe of Springfield and Cherri Rich of Fort Myers, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Severs; and a first cousin, Hazel Cline.
The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the MORROW FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Court St. in Washington Court House, the Rev. Dr. Wayne Clark of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Sabina Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Paul Hughey Post 25 of the American Legion. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. William "Bill" C. Weber Sr.
Died: Thursday, June 13, 2002
Age: 63
William "Bill" C. Weber Sr., 63, of 446 Macedonia Road, Blanchester, died 7:10 p.m. Thursday (June 13, 2002) at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Korter Weber. They were married Feb. 1, 1961.
Mr. Weber was born Jan 20, 1939, in Cincinnati, son of the late Clarence L. and Ruth Palmer Weber. He had been a dog warden in Clinton County for 20 years and also was a farmer. He was a member of the Ohio Dog Warden Association. He graduated from Woodward High School in Cincinnati.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randall (Jane) Weber of Blanchester and William Jr. (Lynnette) Weber of New Vienna; three daughters, Sandie Weber of Lebanon, Elizabeth (Ron) Reed of Lebanon and Katherine Weber of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Richard (Betty) Weber of Maineville; a sister, June (Jay) Gilcher of Maineville; and seven grandchildren, Jason Reed, Christine Hudson-Reed, Ashley Weber, Whitney Weber, Jacob Weber, Korteney Weber and Megan Weber.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, Dr. G. David Hawley officiating, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Etta Rice
Died: Tuesday, August 19, 2003
Age: 77
Etta Rice, 77, of Waynesville, died Tuesday (Aug. 19, 2003) at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Gene Rice. They were married 61 years.
Mrs. Rice was born March 31, 1926, in Beattyville, Ky., daughter of the late Thurmon and Addie Barrett. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Waynesville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by eight sons, Dellus (Vicki) Rice of New Vienna, Darrell Rice of New Vienna, David (Ann) Rice of Hillsboro, Dorman (Brenda) Rice of Wilmington, Keith (Beth) Rice of Wilmington, Marcus (Susie) Rice of Wilmington, Dwayne Rice of Waynesville and Phillip (Vanessa) Rice of Clarksville; three daughters, Joyce (Kenneth) Naylor of Hillsboro, Phyllis Smith of New Vienna and Deanna Rice (Joe Monnin) of Clarksville; 31 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester (Iona) Barrett of Oregonia and Douglas (Sandy) Barrett of Florida; two sisters, Anna Mae (Bob) Hime of Waynesville and Betty Lee (Archie) Begley of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Virgil Barrett; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Full Gospel Tabernacle, Waynesville, with burial in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clinton County. Arrangements are under the direction of STUBBS-CONNER FUNERAL HOME, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville.
Everett "Pete" W. Bogan

Age: 89
Everett “Pete” W. Bogan, 89, of Waynesville, died Friday (Aug. 15, 2003) at Quaker Heights Nursing Home, Waynesville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth.
Mr. Bogan retired from Country Mark Feedmill in Corwin after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Waynesville formerly Harveysburg Masonic Lodge 163.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Marvin) Griswold of Oregonia; two grandchildren, Johnny (Becky) Griswold of Clarksville and Stephanie (Craig) Morgan of Waynesville; a great-grandchild, Dakota; a brother, Chester Bogan of St. Paris; and three sisters, Grace Lynch of Waynesville, Donna (Carl “Whitey”) Bauer of Clarksville and Mary Friend of Hamilton.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Denver; and three sisters, Kasy Bogan, Elsie Wilson and Leona Wilson.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at STUBBS-CONNER FUNERAL HOME, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville.
Dorothy M. Mills

Age: 79
Dorothy M. Mills, 79, of Wilmington, died Friday (Aug. 15, 2003) at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Residence.
Mrs. Mills was born March 20, 1924, in Xenia, daughter of the late George Ira and Martha Meyers Smith. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and was a member of the Wilmington Friends Meeting.
She is survived by four children, John A. (Susan) Brady of Burkburnett, Texas, Marty (Tom) Reynolds of Burkburnett, Texas, Bill Allen of Florida and Mike (Debbie) Allen of Florida; a sister, Hazel Mart of Cincinnati; a brother, Carrol Smith of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, John, James and Emilie, all of Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Liam and Bailey, all of Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Jackson, Lena Ashmore and Helen Mitchell.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Springfield Friends Cemetery, with Lawrence Barker officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Wilmington. Candace Garrett

Candace Garrett, 41, of Hillsboro, died Thursday (Aug. 14, 2003) at Clinton Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1962, in Cincinnati, daughter of Margaret Day Garrett and the late Larry P. Garrett. She attended the Good News Gathering Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Alexandra Karen Wilson and Hannah Day Wilson, both of Hillsboro; five brothers, Rick (Pat) Garrett of Blanchester, Greg (Sheri) Garrett of Fayetteville, Mike (Kathy) Garrett of Fayetteville, Rod (Susie) Garrett of Milford and Brett Garrett of Fayetteville; and four sisters, Pamela S. (Earle) Cardinal of Boise, Idaho, Gay (Ron) Davis of Hillsboro, Jill (Earl Weber) Garrett of Milford and Holly (Curt) Benton of Morrow.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, 45107, Pastor Kevin Beck officiating, with burial in Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
