Robert E. " Charlie" Patterson

Age: 74
Robert E. "Charlie" Patterson, 74, of Wilmington, died Wednesday (July 17, 2002) at Mercy Fairfield Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Harriette Stanforth Patterson. They were married Dec. 30, 1950.
Mr. Patterson was born Dec. 23, 1927, in East Monroe, son of the late Robert L. and Norma Forte Patterson. He was an active member of the I.O.O.F. and the VFW of Wilmington. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Terry Patterson of Georgia, Sherry (Paul) Hughes of Georgia and Sandy (Jim) McClary of Wilmington; two brothers, James (JoAnn) Patterson of Wilmington and Raymond "Sedric" (Lynn) Patterson of Genoa; two sisters, Jane (Ralph) Tener of Hillsboro and Margaret Dailey of Wilmington; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Sue; a brother, Roy Patterson; a sister, Helen Werstler.
The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina, with burial in New Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Ronald A. Green
Died: Tuesday, July 16, 2002
Ronald A. Green, 61, of Lynchburg, died Saturday (July 13, 2002) at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. His wife, Nancy Bloom Green, survives. They were married for 43 years.
Mr. Green was born June 13, 1941 in Beech Grove, Ind., son of Raymond H. Green of Hillsboro and the late Neva L. Swartz Green. Mr. Green was a self-employed semi truck driver. He was a member of the New Market Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Green is survived by three sons, Steve Green of Hillsboro, Tim (Nancy) Green of Hillsboro, and Tom (Ann) Green of Hillsboro; a sister, Marcia (Bob) Morris of Hillsboro; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ruth Bloom of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Henry Garbett of New Richmond; nine grandchildren, Mandy Green, Bethany Green, Brandon Green, Ryan Green, Kyle Green, Amber Green, Lita Valdez, Sophelia Valdez and Nita Valdez; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Green was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Jean Ayres.
The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at the HOPE MILLER-THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, 241 E. Main St. in Hillsboro, the Rev. Harold Arthur officiating, with interment in the New Market Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Virgil T. Ford
Died: Monday, July 15, 2002
Age: 86
Virgil T. Ford, 86, of Sabina, died Monday (July 15, 2002) at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati.
Mr. Ford was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Bainbridge, son of the late Fred and Velva Stultz Ford. He had retired from Mac Tool. He was a veteran of World War II and a former prisoner of war.
He is survived by a brother, Herbert (Betty) of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Nona Ford of Sabina; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, and a sister, Marie.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.

Harley Leigh Walker

Age: 70
Harley Leigh Walker, 70, of Blanchester, died Saturday (July 13, 2002) at Continental Manor, Blanchester. He is survived by his wife, Daisy E. Bass Walker of Blanchester. They were married 34 years.
Mr. Walker was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Midland, son of the late Harley Ewing Walker and Laura Ethel Osborne. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM in Wilmington and the Cary Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Rick Walton of Oregon, Steve Walton of Kentucky, Renee Shanafelt of Springfield, Ore., Barnett Walton of Salem, Ore., Nancy Prater of Batavia and Irma Walton of Dayton; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Barbara Denny and Charlotte Walls.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Walton, who died in 1991; a brother; and a sister.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, the Rev. Mike Barthel officiating, with burial in Jefferson Township Cemetery, Westboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic and Scottish Rite Ring services will be held 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mary Alice Cochran
Died: Sunday, November 10, 2002
Age: 80
Mary Alice Cochran, 80, of Westboro, died Sunday (Nov. 10, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Cochran, who died June 12, 1969.
She was born May 14, 1922, in Clinton County, daughter of the late George and Emma Brewer Blair.
She is survived by a son, Neil Cochran of Westboro, and a sister, Betty Elzroth of New Vienna.
In addition to her husband and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Blair and George Blair; and a sister, Margaret Hoskins.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jefferson Township Cemetery, Westboro, with the Rev. Mary Cochran officiating.
