Ruthella Kinney

Age: 80

Ruthella Kinney, 80, of Blanchester, died Sunday (March 9, 2003) at Continental Manor in Blanchester. Her husband, Paul H. Kinney, died in 1989.

Mrs. Kinney was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Morrow, daughter of the late Harry Homan and Edna L. Riehle. She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2222 in Blanchester. She was also a member of the Blanchester Senior Citizens.

She is survived by children, Stanley (Janet) Reid of Huntsville, Ala., and George Roger (Janice) Kinney of Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Edith Conger of Morrow; a sister, Pauline (Robert) Daugherty of Wilmington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; special nieces, Barbara Gauthier, Peggy LeForge and Susan Mienke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Conger; and a grandson, Michael Conger.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Blanchester, Fr. Mike Savino officiating, with interment in Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan Township in Morrow. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington, 45177.

Harold Dale Crampton
Died: Saturday, March 08, 2003
Age: 72

Harold Dale Crampton, 72, of Blanchester, died Saturday (March 8, 2003) at Mercy Hospital, Anderson Township. He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Crampton of Blanchester.

Mr. Crampton was born March 24, 1930, in Lynchburg, son of the late Isma Trauth Crampton and Nellie Faye McClaughen. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2222 in Blanchester and the Blanchester VFW.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cindy C. (Henry) Malicote of Clarksville and Donna (Paul) McMillan of Wilmington; a sister, Anna L. Drummond of Sardinia; and a grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lynn Willis, who died Nov. 6, 1998; three brothers; and a sister.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Brother Melvin Moore officiating, with interment in Clinton County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Kenneth L. Camp
Died: Friday, March 07, 2003
Age: 63

Kenneth L. Camp, 63, of Wilmington, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at his residence. His wife, Patricia J. Camp, survives. They were married Oct. 4, 1957.

Mr. Camp was born May 13, 1939, in Xenia, son of the late Alfred and Norma Dawson Camp. He was a group leader at Morris Beam in Yellow Springs, until his retirement. He attended Farmers Road Church of God.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tracy (Scott) Zurface of Wilmington and Tina Spurlock of Wilmington; a brother, Roger (Judy) Camp of Hillsboro; a sister, Jeanie (Chris) Cluxton of Wilmington; a sister-in-law, Deborah Camp of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Steve) Stein, Tyler Spurlock and Katie Spurlock; a great-grandchild, Dawson Stein; several nieces and nephews; an uncle, Charles Dawson of Hillsboro; and an aunt, Hazel Wallace of Xenia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Camp; a brother, Bruce Camp; and a grandson, Jake Zurface.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, the Rev. Harold Horton officiating, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Camp's memory to Patricia Camp, 125 Oak St., Wilmington, 45177.

Barbara J. Edwards-Aldrich
Died: Sunday, March 02, 2003
Age: 59

Barbara J. Edwards-Aldrich, 59, of Hillsboro, the Pricetown community, died Sunday morning (March 2, 2003) at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Charles Aldrich. They were married March 11, 1966, in New Jersey.

Mrs. Edwards-Aldrich was born Jan. 11, 1944, in Dayton, daughter of the late Leonard K. and Doris Seiger Edwards. She was a library technician at the north campus of Southern State Community College. She had taught English composition as an adjunct faculty member and had worked with Dick Achor on the snowy owl project at Southern State Community College. In 2001, she chaired the committee that organized the Ohio two-year LRC conference at the college and had served on OhioLink's Database Management Standards Committee. She also had numerous poems and short stories published.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Vernon) Kelley of Hillsboro; a son, John Charles Aldrich of Fremont; two grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Kelley of Hillsboro; and two special friends, Paul Oehler of Carrabelle, Fla., and Karen Wheeler of Washington Court House.

Memorial services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday in the lecture room on the central campus of Southern State Community College, Hillsboro. There is no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County unit of the American Cancer Society, 1100 Northview Drive, Apt. 5B, Hillsboro, 45133. Arrangements are under the direction of TURNER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 602 N. High St., Hillsboro.

Gwendolyn Frame Bath
Died: Sunday, March 02, 2003
Age: 87

Gwendolyn Frame Bath, 87, of 240 W. Main St., Wilmington, died 11:30 p.m. Sunday (March 2, 2003) at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. H. Richard Bath, who died Jan. 9, 2000. They were married June 15, 1938, in Highland.

Mrs. Bath was born July 30, 1915, in Highland, daughter of the late Dr. Joseph and Jessie Revennaugh Frame. She graduated in 1933 from Highland High School and in 1937 from Wilmington College. She was a member of Delta Omega Theta Sorority, Snow Hill Country Club, Clinton County Medical Auxiliary, Clinton County Hospital Guild, Saint Nicholas Club and several bridge and dinner clubs. She was a volunteer at Clinton Memorial Hospital and the Clinton County Historical Society. Recently, she served as an honorary chairperson for Clinton Memorial Hospital's Quality of Life capital campaign. She was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Edwin (Leva) Bath of Wilmington; two daughters, Jennifer (Dr. John) Hollon of Wilmington and Barbara (Phillip) Singleton of Wilmington; five grandsons, Joseph Bath of Wilmington, Michael Bath of Cincinnati, Jed (Jennifer) Hollon of Cincinnati, Joe Hollon of Wilmington and Jeff Hollon of Wilmington; three great-granddaughters, Ashley Bath, Laura Bath and Gina Bath; a long-time, faithful friend, Aline Taylor; and special friends from her bridge club.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. H. Richard Bath Family Practice Fund of the Clinton Memorial Hospital Foundation, 610 W. Main St., Wilmington, 45177, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Fred M. Eakins
Died: Saturday, March 01, 2003
Age: 66

Fred M. Eakins, 66, of Beaver Pike Road in Waverly, Pike County, died 10:45 a.m. Saturday (March 1, 2003) at his home. His wife, Carol McKenzie Givens Eakins, survives. They were married May 24, 1985.

Mr. Eakins was born March 28, 1936, in Harveysburg, to the late Raymond Eakins and Sarah Fairchild Eakins. He was a retired power operator for Lockheed-Martin at Piketon. Mr. Eakins had served in the National Guard.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Eakins is survived by a son, Kevin (Jacki) Eakins of New Vienna; two daughters, Paula Sue (Tim) Williams of Lucasville, and Andrea Dawn (Donnie) Bradley of Waverly; five grandchildren, Kristin and Brian Eakins, Paul and Maria Williams and Bailey Caroline Bradley; a great-granddaughter, Haven Alexander

Nicole Bosier; two brothers, Cecil Eakins of Franklin

and Doug Eakins of Middletown; and two sisters, Patty Ann Dodds of Spring Valley and Debbie Petrey of Franklin.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Beaver Union Cemetery, with the Rev. Ronald Hines officiating. Friends may call at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Ohio, 1805 27th St., Portsmouth, OH 45662.

William C. Clemens
Died: Friday, February 28, 2003
Age: 87

William C. Clemens, 87, of Columbus, died Friday (Feb. 28, 2003) at the Laurels of Norworth in Worthington, after an extended illness. His wife, Frances Haines Clemens, survives. They were married Jan. 16, 1943.

Mr. Clemens was born July 12, 1915, in Redfield, N.Y., son of the late Clarence A. and Jennie Cochrane Clemens. He was a former employee of Curtis Wright, North American Aviation and Rockwell Aviation. He was also a retired teacher with the Columbus Public Schools. He was a graduate of the Oswego State Teachers College and the Ohio State University. He served as an usher and portal chief at OSU for over 40 years. A 50-year Mason at the Westgate Lodge, he was a member of the Overbrook Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra Johnson of Columbus; two sons, William Jr. (Brenda) Clemens of Lancaster and James (Jeanie) Clemens of Dublin; a granddaughter, Misty (Tony) Clucus; stepgrandchildren, Judee and Gina Masoni, Jimmie Green and Shawn Hillman; a great-granddaughter, Serena Clucus; several nieces and nephews; and a special canine companion, Ginger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina, with burial in White Oak Grove Cemetery, Fayette County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Willard J. Harris
Died: Saturday, August 23, 2003
Age: 78

Willard J. Harris, 78, of Wilmington, died 7:29 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 23, 2003) at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, due to complications with chronic leukemia. He is survived by his wife, Delpherine Fay Harris. They were married for 53 years.

Mr. Harris was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Crookston, Neb., son of the late Earl and Caroline Wisenberger Harris. He worked as an operating engineer during his adult life, helping to build many of the major highways in the Midwest. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and the VFW. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenneth J. Harris of Wilmington; three daughters, Pauline (Thomas) Lorenzetti of Bristol, Conn., Raedine Hartman of Terrace Park and Gaylene (Cortez) Hamilton of Wilmington; a sister, Caroline Wise of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randall J. Harris; two brothers, Douglas Harris and Calvin Harris; and two sisters, Frieda LaHaye and Vada Buell.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, where military honors will be accorded by the American Legion 49 Memorial Squad. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 105 W. Fourth St., Suite 400, Cincinnati, 45202.
