E. Howard Lindholz Sr.

Age: 85
E. Howard Lindholz Sr., 85, of Wilmington, died 7:05 a.m. Saturday (June 8, 2002) at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Braun Lindholz, who died in 1987. They were married June 28, 1941.
Mr. Lindholz was born July 22, 1916, in Cincinnati, son of the late Paul August and Adelaide Guenther Lindholz. He was a retired machinist from LeBlond/Makino, where he worked for 43 years. He was a member of the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge 163 in Newport, Ky., the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Syrian Temple Shrine.
He is survived by a son, Earl H. (Barbara) Lindholz Jr. of Cincinnati; two daughters, Grace Anne (Edward) Yung of Latonia, Ky., and Karen (Ed) Standridge of Wilmington, with whom he had made his home for nine years; nine grandchildren, Ed (Jan) Yung, Stephanie Yung, Paul (Stephanie) Yung, Doug (Penny) Yung, Greg Lindholz, Bryan (Nanci) Lindholz, Eric (Colleen) Lindholz, Kenny (Stephanie) Stewart and Mandie (Darrell) Powell; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Dedden and Geraldine Bricking.
Memorial services will be held 8 p.m. Friday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington. Masonic and Scottish Rite Ring services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, just prior to the memorial service. Mr. Lindholz requested his body be bequeathed to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Mary E. Morris
Died: Saturday, June 8, 2002
Age: 91
Mary E. Morris, 91, Leesburg, died Saturday (June 8, 2002) at Edgewood Manor, Greenfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Morris, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Morris was born Feb. 27, 1911, in Reesville, daughter of the late Worthy and Ollie West Staubus. She was a member of the Leesburg Brush and Palette Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn (George) Anders of Leesburg; two sons, Jonathan W. Morris of Leesburg and Don B. Morris of Leesburg; three grandchildren, David Anders and Jeffrey and Vincent Morris; and five great-grandchildren, Wesley, Bryce and Logan Anders and Chelsey and Jim Morris.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Fullerton and Hildred Witherspoon.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. today at Sabina Cemetery, Pastor Robert Carroll officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina.
Goldie Storer
Died: Saturday, June 8, 2002
Age: 83
Goldie Storer, 83, of Alamogordo, N.M., died Saturday (June 8, 2002) at Aristocrat Assisted Living Center in Alamogordo, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana Lawrence Storer, who died June 21, 1999. They were married Feb. 11, 1939, in New Vienna.
Mrs. Storer was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Clinton County, daughter of the late Leo and Alice Powell Harris.
She is survived by a brother, Virgil Harris of Arcadia, Fla.; a sister, Josephine Drake of New Vienna; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, June Powell of New Vienna.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Lawrence Storer; a daughter, Barbara Dale Storer; a brother, Donald Harris; and two sisters, Cleo Linkhart and Bernice Harris.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Vienna I.O.O.F Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of L. EUGENE SMITH & SON FUNERAL HOME, State Route 73, New Vienna.
Elsa Zurface
Died: Friday, June 7, 2002
Age: 88
Elsa Zurface, 88, of Wilmington, died Friday (June 7, 2002) at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Residence. She is survived by her husband, C. William Zurface.
Mrs. Zurface was born July 19, 1913, near Westboro, daughter of the late Raymond and Elva Hill Osborn. She was a member of the Sabina Friends Church, the Wilmington Senior Citizens and the New Vienna Senior Citizens.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Betty Stepp of Mena, Ark.
Mrs. Zurface will be cremated, and there will be no funeral service or visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabina Friends Church, in care of Bess Stamm, 1256 Clement Road, Wilmington, 45177. Arrangements are under the direction of LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Minnis Sibrel
Died: Saturday, October 5, 2002
Age: 87
Minnis Sibrel, 87, of Hillsboro, died Saturday (Oct. 5, 2002) at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Davis Sibrel, whom he married Oct. 31, 1938.
He was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Adams County, son of the late Oscar and Mae Doss Sibrel. He was a member of the Hillsboro Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses. In 1979, he retired after 28 years of service from Cincinnati Milacron in Wilmington. He was a farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William "Bill" Sibrel if Hillsboro; two daughters, Margaret Mary Helfrich of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ruth Wood of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Wilson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the HOPE MILLER-THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro, with John Dobbins speaking, and burial in Sugartree Ridge Cemetery. Luther H. Copsey

Age: 87
Luther H. Copsey, 87, of Wilmington, died Thursday (Oct. 3, 2002) at Heartland of Hillsboro, Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Dunn Copsey, who died Dec. 10, 2001.
Mr. Copsey was born April 28, 1915, in Xenia, son of the late Harper L. Copsey and Hattie L. Hinkins.
He is survived by three stepchildren, Kathleen (Richard) Channell of Lebanon, Bonnie (Andrew) Pauckner of Hillsboro and David (Malinda) Wickline of Peebles; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Copsey of Wilmington; and three sisters, Reva Kaiser of Pleasant Hill, Eva Koogler of Beavercreek and Mildred Cooper of Wilmington.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Pleasant Grove Church of God outside of Clarksville, the Rev. Calvin Martin officiating, with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan Township. Marilyn Frances Bay

Marilyn Frances Bay, 60, of Blanchester, died Monday (Oct. 2, 2002) at her home.
She was born Jan. 18, 1942, in Dayton, Ky., daughter of the late David Layman and Alma Schneider.
She is survived by a brother, David (Joann) Layman of Melbourne, Ky., and a close friend and caregiver, Donald Day of Westboro.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, the Rev. Tony Hudson officiating, with burial in Johnsville Cemetery, Foster, Ky. Richard John "Dick" Hodges Sr.
Died: Wednesday, October 2, 2002
Age: 62
Richard John "Dick" Hodges Sr., 62, of Martinsville, died 3:20 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 2, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Fern Payne Hodges. They were married June 1, 1963.
Mr. Hodges was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Cincinnati, son of the late Elmo F. and Albertina Luken Hodges. He was a former railroad engineer and a farmer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 49. He was a past vice president of the Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman's Association, a past president of the Martinsville P.T.O. and a past Scoutmaster for the Tecumseh Council of Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Bible Missionary Baptist Church. He served 10 years in the U.S. Army. He had attended Goshen High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Eric Scott Hodges of Wilmington, Richard J. (Edie) Hodges Jr. of Wisconsin and Jonathan Levi (Heather) Hodges of Wilmington; five brothers, Donald (Joann) Hodges of Goshen, Roger Hodges of Florida, Russell (Rosetta) Hodges of Indiana, Timothy (Marilyn) Hodges of Goshen and Theodore (Mary) Hodges of Texas; a sister-in-law, Betty Hodges of Indiana; two sisters, Phyllis Conley of Goshen and Mary Joyce (Paul) Weber of Florida; and three grandchildren, Paul Bruce Hodges, Zachary Hodges and Jonathan Wyatt Hodges.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Hodges and Elmo "Buddy" Hodges Jr.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, the Rev. Kurtis Summerville officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2:30 p.m. Monday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
